Crafty's wall adapter outputs thru usb, which is 5V and 2 amp.
Mighty's wall adapter is a different plug (2mm) and outputs 12V and 3amp.
This explains why Mighty will charge its' 2 batteries faster than Crafty can charge its' one.

I am on the market for a 18mm water tool adapter for my Crafty.
Just noticed this item from Grizzly in my search today.
Has anyone tried this one, or am I better off with the VapingFans version?

Geez. You must be lazy as F! (ha!)
If you've done a bowl or two, or forget how many, assume Crafty's status is medium to low. Charge it! Why take a chance?
I used Crafty for about 5 months and could only use an app every couple of weeks when my daughter came for a visit! I had no smart phone...
The S&B app apparently needs updating anyway, folks say it has not stayed compatable with newer systems. Won't open at all unless it can find Crafty, right? At that point, when it does open, 'last' status is moot.
Maybe @ligi has some insight? He's made a nice Crafty app.

My newer model Crafty has hit 5 hours without a single issue. What a pet peeve it is that they designed it so bluetooth isn't activated until the unit is actually fully turned on. Previous Crafty's all it took was a quick tap of the power button to engage the BT without turning on the Crafty, but now I need to start adding heat to it just to see the battery status, or change temp profile, etc.
I swear my newer Crafty also "feels" more solid in my hand....no creaks and squeaks and the stir tool doesn't wiggle around now. I'm liking the Crafty more than I expected! Still putting the Mighty's through the ringer too!

For me, the whole app thing was an unnecessary pain; after the honeymoon I just wasn't into a whole other device in the mix.
The creaks and squeaks come with age and use, I guess. Just like us! It may have been that my Craftys never got old (died young, so sad) but I didn't notice many creaks until Mighty had several months of daily use on it. It's most disturbing when it happens upon loosening/tightening the c/u.
I agree that the C/U is a great piece of tech and works amazingly well but overall I'm ready to say that S&B could have done a lot better with the design of the entire casing, both Mighty and Crafty, including but not limited to the way the c/u mounts. One does not have to look far to see some great housing designs (Pax2, Grasshopper). We hear so often here about chipped fins, split housings, chipped c/u mount...Other than some battery or heat issues, these are the things we hear about over and over.
It's just a good thing these vapes work so well...or, well, I don't know...

If my old one wasnt faulty from the start, then th 2.1 gives me about a bowl more per charge.

I had a response from Storz & Bickel.... They said v.2.08 is the most up to date in the USA.. That doesn't make sense to me.... Are you in the USA??
No i deal with the European side..
Edit - they might want to finish what the already have in Stock in the USA.

How often do you guys clean your CU? I'm a fairly light user (one charge usually last me a day and a half or two) but it has started to get a little of that 'burnt popcorn' taste so I'm probably going to clean it tonight even though when I looked inside it wasn't terribly gooped up.
I'll probably pick up a 2nd CU so I can keep them in rotation like I do the glass stems in the ascent. I'm thinking a 10min soak in ISO with some agitation should be sufficient. However I don't like to use alcohol on plastic parts more than necessary. Oh, & do you scrape before you soak, or just soak? I'll be tossing the ISO in the mason jar of reclaim in the freezer so it won't be going to waste.

I use my crafty fairly heavily (5-8 bowls on weeknights, 10-15 on weekends). I'm pretty bad about cleaning it, and only get around to doing so once a month. It's gets pretty gummy in the screen, and I'm always amazed at how much better it tastes after I clean it. I don't usually have to scrape because I put my CU in a small jar with a lid, fill it so the cu is fully submersed in ISO, and then put it into a hot water bath in my plugged up kitchen sink. After about 5 mins, I shake it like crazy and my cu looks brand new.
However, you can totally smoke the vapor resin, so if you want to do that, I would recommend scraping before you soak it in alcohol.

I had a Crafty of one of the first batches and after having it serviced twice (both under 80h mark) I requested and switched to a Mighty instead.
I now miss the convenience of the smaller unit for when out and about and recently been thinking about getting another one but there're some issues I would like to know if have been fixed or at least improved:

I now miss the convenience of the smaller unit for when out and about and recently been thinking about getting another one but there're some issues I would like to know if have been fixed or at least improved:
- Overheating: I couldn't do 2 chained bowls before the unit shutting down due to overheat, this started happening after the 4th month or so. I live in a hot country during summer so this may have some influence, my Mighty never had this problem but having the stress handled between two batteries sure helps. I recall somebody mentioning the insulation had improved but not really sure.
- Battery failures: Both my 2 units seemed to die due to battery issues (first suddenly died, second had the yellow-red light of death). Guess this should have improved but noticed a few recent posts mentioning battery issues.
- Usage time: I could do about 4-5 bowls (rushed) at first and about 3-4 at about 70h usage, I'm guessing this would get the unit under the 30 min usage time in about 1 year with my routine so the unit would have to be sent back quite frequently.
- Firmware updates: Even cheap ecig mods now have upgradeable firmware but guess S&B isn't working much on that.

Hey do any of you guys have a small and compact case for your crafty? I'm looking for something that's relatively the same dimensions as the crafty, as that's all that I want to fit in the case. I thought the Pelican 1010 was perfect but realized it's too thick/tall for me. Help!?
