do the crafty and mighty use the same size screens?
Note that you can buy a set of "fine screens" (yes Mighty/Crafty interchangeable). I use only fine screens, even in c/u. Makes for less particles in the reclaim.
Also, a Crafty c/u will mount and work fine on a Mighty.

Cosmo, it seems to me that in this economy, you should consider branching out from latex and latex-related products to silicone and silicone-related products.

I ordered a couple of "dosing capsules" off of S&B's website this last weekend. I got an email yesterday morning saying they had shipped, then another email saying the shipment had been cancelled. I emailed S&B, no response yet, and their customer service line is useless (just wants you to leave a voicemail, and tells you email will get a faster response). Has anyone else ever had an order cancelled by S&B with no explanation? I'm especially annoyed because I paid extra for second day shipping, and here we are on the 2nd business day, and it hasn't even shipped yet.

Hey everyone, I'm sure this is a repeat issue from someone in the past but couldn't find any answers by searching google. My vaporizer has 110 hours of use and just started malfunctioning yesterday. It is operating on firmware 2.08. I have been getting at least 2 full bowls of use per charge (180-195 deg) and awesome performance until yesterday. Now while charging the vaporizer goes directly from 1 or 2 of 6 bars to a full 6 bars of charge. When I used it yesterday the charge quickly dropped to 1 bar and then died mid use. This happens even when plugged in. Now today when the device is plugged in it shows a steady blue light indicating a full charge. If I try to turn it on, it flashes red once and turns right back off, returning to a steady blue light. I tried to turn it on a few times in a row and got a "device faulty" message in the iOS application but no weird LEDs (orange/green) on the vape. I haven't been able to prompt the application message again. I don't think its an issue with the battery as the device now draws <0.02A@5V and worked for more than 2 full sessions per charge just 2 days ago. Anyone have any advice on fixing it or what to tell S&B so they don't charge me for a new battery? This is my second crafty (first one lasted <30 hours) and I have absolutely loved it. By far the best vape I've ever used.

How did you order a couple dosing capsules? On their website you can either order a magazine with 8 capsules, $6.90 or buy 40 capsules at $13.90. I didn't see anywhere you could buy individual capsules.

Hi All,

Long time, no post.

Quick questions - anyone who can help will be greatly appreciated!

Crafty #3 died (2.08) with just shy of 120 hours of use. Because I had chipped housing prior to this, I had an active RMA and sent it back. Crafty #4 arrived today, with 2.10 firmware.

I'm noticing the following big differences between this unit and the last three I owned...

1. The delay on the power button is gone. You used to be able to tap it and the unit wouldn't turn on. Now the unit turns on instantly. This used to be a nice way to turn on the low-power bluetooth radio without also turning on the vape, and also ensured the vape didn't get turned on by accident.

2. When plugged in to charge, the Crafty first blinks green, then blinks red, and then blinks blue as it normally would when charging.

Is anyone else noticing these changes to operation with the 2.10 firmware?

Thanks!

1) yeah no easy bluetooth - now i have to switch it on and off quickly to connect to phone

2) it blinks by itself when connected and then does it again when i flick switch to on then flashes blue to show its charging

i see temp sometimes jump by 2 degrees instead of 1 ..never saw that with 2.08

I bought the magazine with 8 capsules and the box of 40 capsules.
You're really buying the magazine capsule holder for that $6.90.
It works well.

Box of 40 capsules had two bags. Capsule bottoms in one bag, lids in the other.

And, yes, I counted them because ... well, just because.
I was upset. One extra lid.
Wondering when I'll even need to use those 40.
Capsules are holding up well. Easy to open after you get the hang of it.

Big thumbs up from me.
Improves the session experience: Speed. Ease. Neatness. Advance prep. Saves herb.
Appeals to my OCD side.

And just plain fun.

..nice to see S&B go that extra mile and give you a spare lid lol

did anyone fork out 49 euros (..dollars?) for 30 lip pieces?

http://www.storz-bickel.com/shop_eu/en/shop/mighty/mighty-crafty-lip-piece-set-30-pcs.html

from S&B
'The Lip Piece is intended for the hygienic single use and is equipped with a check valve, so that the danger of a possible contamination inside of the Cooling Unit is reduces.'

..does that mean the valve is to stop vapor leakage or to stop you dribbling into your meds

i wonder if a vape shop sell them in smaller quantities

I ordered the magazine. Do these capsules hold up? Meaning they can just be continually reused?

Been using same eight capsules. Holding up well. If one bends on opening, can shape it back easily. When lid is on, the capsule is quite strong. Less than a week so far, so time will tell.
Seem easier to dump out, brush clean, and resist crushing than do screen based baskets.

Comment on small load use with liquid pad stuffed in on top: It's a struggle getting tiny pad out of capsule. Think it's best to leave 1mm of liquid pad sticking up out of capsule when initially loading, and leave the lid off. Easier to pry out. If you try stabbing bottom hole with paperclip to push it out, be careful. The thin metal deforms around your stabbed hole. No one likes that. Hmmm...maybe that's why they sell them 40 in a box.

But if you lightly fill capsule and don't pack, almost to rim, it will be about 100mg.
That's a nice dose. If you want to go less, I would skip the capsule with tiny pad method, and use Crafty stock with its own liquid pad.

Why would you need to use liquid pad with small amounts? I would think that the capsule would contain small amounts and no need for the pad. Have you tried using small amount in capsule with no pad?

I started out with a .05 bowl in mighty this morning, it wasn't even enough to cover the screen but smooshing the pad on top gave me 3 or 4 nice long slow draws for first vape of the day. There was even a tiny bit of green color left

I think the capsules would work well for str8 keif hits with the pad installed at the bottom, I'd stuff a pad down and just use that cap for it.

im using cap base on top of small load already in bowl..so no load in the capsule
with no lid to make extra space for load underneath

it vapes quite fast at high temp

Great idea, @cloudsosmoke ! Smallest of loads only, of course.

I had to read your post twice before getting it.
My capsule bottom harmlessly stuck to CU screen when I opened to dump.
Easier than using Crafty liquid pad as spacer. And easier to keep clean!
Brilliant. (please teach us yanks better Brit superlatives)

Does anyone have a Crafty and Mighty? I have a Mighty and love it but I'm thinking of getting a Crafty as well for more portability. The only concern I have is the failure rate of the Crafty and whether it's really necessary given that I own a Mighty. Any insight would be appreciated!

Yep, 2 Mighty's and 1 Crafty. Crafty rarely gets used because it's only for portability outside of the house. But it definitely fits that stealthy need nicely, and I don't mind that it's not getting overused (like my Mighty's!). Only you can decide if it's worth the potential for RMA.....for me, at this point anyway, it is. I'm sure that will change once the summer is over though! Still hoping for a Crafty killer..... but I may be hoping for a while..... the GH didn't do it for me.

I have both and use the Mighty round the house , in the garden and for longer sessions without the capsules. I use the Crafty when I am in public places or while I am riding my bike! Don't wanna miss one of the devices.
