After changing chargers/cables around a few times with only sporadic success, I got it to charge by putting a small blade-like probe into the crafty's usb port and moving up what seemed like a flat male connector or guide that goes inside the usb cable connector tip, it needed to be re-centered because it had moved out of the way and the cable tip was going around it completely. Hopefully that will work for a while anyways.

Dang! Good to hear you solved it though.

I keep that orange pick/tamping tool in my crafty to cover the USB port. I think this will prevent foreign objects getting logged in the port and off centering it.

If you have a proof of purchase or invoice, you should not be denied warranty...I have never heard of a case that was. Anyone else?

$200 is a great deal IMO but only IF you have that proof of purchase.... simply because it will go belly up soon enough, and then you will get a brand new crafty!

Otherwise, I echo all those that say to go for PIU! You won't get a better deal nor service.

Just posting back about my crafty being sent out, I believe a new one is going to be here tomorrow. I will say the customer service was pretty good. I do NOT like that I could not speak to someone about it, but when you call the number and/or go to their website you should be able to figure it out. I just find it irritating, for a product of this price point you should be able to speak to someone. Anyways, I first went to their website and filled out the form for a broken device, they emailed me back with an official repair form #, printed form, made copy of invoice, packaged everything up, and then I sent it out to their address with a signature upon delivery. It arrived last friday at Storz & Bickel, and that same day I had a tracking number on my new device being sent back.

I gotta say when my Crafty broke I was pretty bummed out...still am I suppose. I was also bummed to find out there was no "real" customer support...You're subjected to listening to automated voicemails which is a serious PITA! I also had to pay to ship the thing which is also not cool. But they definitely redeemed themselves with the speedy service I got which to me is the most important part. I thought I was going to be waiting days to hear back what they were going to do, but it was like the second they received the broken one, they sent a new one back. So even though the reliability of this unit is shaky they definitely are quick about getting a new one back to you pronto. So even with all that I will say it's definitely worth the money still...

My personal recommendations are to buy a high quality desktop before purchasing a Crafty...these in my opinion aren't up to the job of performing day in and day out. Sure they can, but in no time the batteries degrade, or some other surprise happens. These units are best suited for occasional use for around the house, and during whatever adventures you feel like subjecting it to. I just think constant vapage on the crafty and mighty are stressful for the unit, and if you want to see more life out of your Crafty/Mighty you should have another unit to to lighten the load a bit. Not trying to say this baby isn't anything less than spectacular, but think of it like a sports car...most high end (German ones especially lol) need more maintenance than other cars. This is just like that. As long as you're willing to deal with that it's a great choice. Last recommendation is, when your Crafty breaks go out and buy an Herbalizer...you'll never need to buy another vaporizer for as long as you live.

Need advise guys....is a crafty bought in 2014 with 51 hrs a good buy for $200.....
IMO NO...But seriously, if you gonna spend 200 on a used vaporizer with that many hours and barely any warranty left, you should just save an extra 100 and buy it brand new knowing that tomorrow you going to wake up and know for sure that is going to work and if it doesn't than you have till 2018 to get a brand new one. Only for 100 more think about it.

Agree'd...mine crapped out at 42 hrs. I'd offer him 150 bucks, and if he says no just save another 150 and you got yourself a new crafty.

Thanks smokey. How you been. Remember you sold me the elevape awhile back.

Hey fam I've got sum good and bad news. The good news is my crafty on Firmware 2.08 reached 110 hours tonight. The bad is its flashing yellow/red lights now. Time for crafty #3. Also my last recorded heat up time to 356 was 2:38 and I received this replacement unit in Early September and used as a daily driver as you can tell. Cheers

The Plenty doesn't get as hot as the Crafty/Mighty, and the bowl size is MASSIVE. No wonder it hit like the Mighty and Crafty put together!

If S&B ever made a Plenty with the bowl size of a Crafty/Mighty, i'm in! They should make it digital too... oh wait, might as well just use the Mighty.... but give it a TRUE battery bypass!

My Crafty's power button is not responding anymore. There is an audible sound coming from the vape if I shake it...like something came apart. It only has 5 hours on it and v2.10...is this a common issue?

I don't think it's common, but it has happened to others.... bummer dude, only 5 hours on it? Oh well, you're new one will have 0 hours on it! Definitely discouraging though.... what serial number?

It's my second Crafty. I sold the first to a friend months ago with 15 hours on it. He says it's still going strong.

My Crafty update: Serial number 28..., firmware 2.08 , 180 hours on the clock. I get 2 sessions out of a battery load. Heat up time first session 2:28 :\ , second session 4:00 :nope: minutes. Performance is still awesome.
After my awesome session with the plenty I would like to see a Pocket Plenty with exchangeable batteries. Maybe S&B are reading this...:brow:

So sorry, your Crafty is circling the drain and sounds like it may be time for a new battery. A swap-able battery would make this a different story, for sure.

Just thinking, though, how many Crafty and Mighty owners there are are now, and we're all still in warranty period (but for these pesky battery fees) given that the products are less than 2 years on the market. Later this year we'll probably need a new thread, for post-warranty hacks (and complaints)!

Sounds like exactly what happened to mine. Was working fine, the button stopped having any tactile response, and when gently shook, I could hear a small piece of plastic loose.

I had 64 hours on it, charged, cleaned, and Bluetooth working fine when sent in. I've upgraded to the Mighty, should have it Tuesday.

Just got the Crafty today - v02.10. Upgraded from the MFLB..and my god is this little beaut a beast!! Highly recommend it to those contemplating taking the plunge into purchasing it. Heating up time is sitting at 1:25. Loving it so far, worth the money! I'll post an update in a week or two, hopefully it's still going strong:)

Hey everyone,

been a while a long while...

Just received my third Crafty CY05046# (still under guarantee) (1st 115 hours) (2nd 62 hours) and was pleased to see that they have reinforced the front end and the sides around the bowl! probably been covered but thought I'd share it :)

While the vape was away I had to use my EQ, Solo, Mlfb and Pax, which was fine but so happy to get my lil babe back, none of my others hit me like the Crafty does :)

Good times

Really cool. Hope to see an app for windows or Linux soon too. Neat stuff.

Hey guys :)

I am currently developing an application which should be able to run on all major platforms, currently tested: Linux and Android
the most basic things such as displaying the current temperature and altering the temperature settings are already working

Here are screenshots of the current interface, I know it is not the prettiest till now :D
just click on the thumbnail

Android:

Linux:

I'll keep you updated, keep on vaping :)

edit:
PS: if you are using any linux distribution and want to test my application please write me a PM
