Thanks! I bought it in a retailer store, so i need the invoice of the store ?
If you know the store and date of purchase you can have the store email you a copy of your purchase invoice. Also, the return process with S&B has changed slightly, there's now a Service Request form on the website. That form asks for date and place of purchase. Maybe that will suffice? Write and ask S&B what to do!

Hello,

I'm new here and would like to share my Crafty experiences. I use most of the time flowers but sometimes i put some oil^^.

This is my 4th Crafty, i bought the 1st in December 2014 :
- 1st Crafty died after 72 hours , serial CY005xxx = light of death (yellow/red flashing)
- 2nd unit died after 47 hours, serial CY013xxx = light of death (yellow/red flashing)
- 3rd unit died after 91 hours, serial CY019xxx = light of death (yellow/red flashing)

4th Crafty still running strong, firmware 2.08 serial CY036xxx :

Well tbh Storz & Bickel support was always very good with me, i just paid the 1st return because i didn't asked for UPS shipping label...
To be continued... next time i will ask for a Mighty upgrade ;)

Hola.
Just got my new Crafty.
I decided to join the dark side and send it in to have new fins and of course a decent battery again.
Firmware is 2.10 and SN is 51***
Tried @ligi 's app with no success but I have to try again with more time on my side and a full battery.
The new bowl seems too new! Seems like a fake Crafty to me, lol. But I know it's not.
Ligi if you need any feedback from 2.10 users just PM or quote me here.

Other than sending my Crafty in, I also got a fucking (combustion) Volcano digit which is serving me way better than any Crafty of Mighty (which I also own) can do now. Maybe we can talk about it in few years and hopefully things will be better (imho they both need at least swappable batts, possibility to switch off screen+vibe on the Mighty, to be worth 350$ from here on).
Cheers.

Crafty died on me again at 72 hours :/

No free return label for me this time! Thanks S&B!

It's a great vape, just wish everything else that came with it was equally as stellar.

Good evening. This is my first post and I've tried to read through as much of this thread as time permits. I own a Pax 2, and I'm looking to purchase another. The Crafty is the most appealing to me, I am nervous that The Mighty is too big. It seems that a lot of long term users of The Crafty have had to return it multiple times and breakdowns are the norm. My question is: for all of the headache is it worth it or should I just go the route of The Mighty? Thanks in advance

Since you already have the pax for stealth, keep it & grab the mighty (from a crafty user).

I feel that the Mighty compliments the Pax2 better than the Crafty. You'll have one for home and one for going out. Like you, I had a Pax2 and decided to buy a Crafty. When I got the Crafty, I stopped using the Pax2 completely. They both served the same purpose, except the Crafty was better in every way. After switching to the Mighty, I now use the Pax2 when going out and the Mighty at home.

Thanks for the info. I like the stealthiness of The Crafty. I experience the same issues/limitations as others from the Pax 2, which leads me to use the Pax 2 as a compliment to puffing, which I'd like to greatly reduce. The Pax 2 is great but it's definitely a tease to me in a few ways and The S&B products seem to be a bit more on the industrial/functional side I don't live in such a cool place so discretion is key and it seems like The Crafy sounds like a great solution, but after hearing about everyone's returns and the short battery life, I'm having second thoughts. I've also been thinking about The Grasshopper as, but I know those questions are for a different thread. To be honest, I'm more than a tad OCD, so I over analyze everything, but this is a great problem to have.

I picked up a Pax2 for a friend. She couldn't stand it, so I traded it to her for a Prima. Now that I have the Pax2, I am shocked at the positive response. In my own experience, the Crafty crushes the Pax2. Not even close (except size and time to heat up).

My Crafty is now 14 months old and I've not had a problem. Of course, I'm easy on it...I've never done more than three sessions in a row with it and always let it cool before charging it. It just isn't seeing the use it used to get, though, because the Firewood 3 is so much faster and convenient.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to compare it to the GH soon. Looking forward to trying out the GH/Crafty CU combo but now the MF Bottle Rocket is making me go hmmmm.

I tend to agree with others, if you have a pax2 for stealth, probably get the mighty for home.

But I don't know your usage habits, do you have a good desktop at home? Does majority of your vaping occur on the go (and requiring stealth)?
If yes to either, or both, then maybe you want another stealthy unit that performs better.

How many sessions a week would you use it?

For me I have a Volcano for home, crafty for on the go. (And GH on the way, among other units I rarely use anymore).

But dude, I wouldn't choose a GH over a crafty, if reliability is your deciding factor. The GH is even less reliable.
People in the GH thread are on their 4th-5th units in months and some have given up on warranty all together because they have gotten broken replacements too.

I'm still keeping my preorder for my GH because I need something very stealthy. They seem to be ramping up the war in my country. Ignorant politicians and police.

I've had my Crafty since the end of December '15. It's a 2.08 with 12 hours of usage on the clock. Last night when I got in from work, I set my Crafty on charge as I usually do, ground of some herb, and then opened the Crafty app but it just wouldn't connect. I tried resetting the phone, re-adding the serial number in the app, deleting and re-downloading the app, but nothing worked.

So, I just set it aside and used for MFLB for the evening. Now this morning the app and Crafty connect to each other with no problem. Is this something others have seen? Is there a definite way to fix it? Is my Crafty on it's way out after 12 hours?!

Welcome, @jareds! I have the pax2 and Crafty and am very happy. But it depends on your planned use and needs. If you don't mind the shorter battery life, don't mind the app to set your temps (once you find your sweet spot, you really don't need to use it), and don't plan to "over work/use" it, the Crafty may be the right one for you.

The Crafty seems to have had more warranty issues than the Mighty, but knock wood, mine has been trouble free.

Good luck with your choice!

You gave me some good points to think about.

I don't have a plug in vape for home. I'm vaping/blazing most of the day. 20-30 sessions a week would probably be a fair estimate.

I convinced myself I want The Crafty, but it looks like The Mighty is the better choice for me. The one time I held both models, The Mighty felt a little too big. I wish I could try both models before I made my decision.

It seems that new Vapes are constantly coming out. It's something I enjoy, so I can justify spending money on it but I am trying to make the smart decision not in a rush or on impulse.

What would you define as "over work/use"?

Thanks

That's tough to quantify, but I think S&B say something about it on their website. I'm pretty sure they don't recommend back to back oven loads and usage. If you plan to use this vape multiple times a day, most days of the week, the Mighty may be the way to go for you. There are a bunch of people who have(and rotate) both.

You said discretion is important to you, and the Mighty is NOT discreet, unless you have Gigantor hands... I think you should think about just building a collection so you can rotate vapes and select which one based on your circumstances at the time (at home, on the go, alone, with others, etc.).

Have you looked at the reviews and ratings on Vape Critic and Vaporizer Wizard sites? There's great info there. Hope this helps and doesn't add to your confusion.

Thanks for taking the time to spell some of this out for me. I'm torn over the portability of The Crafty, the more I think about it, the more I realize The Mighty is probably the better choice for usage/battery size. After watching these in use, both seem like a step up from the Pax 2.

I've watched a few of the Vapecritic's reviews. Now, I just need to pull the trigger.

It's annoying being so indecisive

I had this question about a week ago when my Crafty was functioning.

It seems to me that my first Crafty (v2.08) was more adept at keeping up with my powerful draw rate than my recent one (v2.10). It always stayed much closer to the set temperature. Has anyone noticed this?

Welcome.
With the use you describe, I heartily suggest a Mighty. After three Crafty's, now Mighty, I don't think I'll be going back!
I believe we see many more folks migrate from Crafty to Mighty than the other way 'round.

Thank you to everyone that gave me some good insight. I did a little outside research and I decided to go with The Crafty for starters and if it doesn't meet my needs, I'll move to The Mighty. I'll take as good care of it as possible and hope I have a good unit. If not, at least I can step up to The Mighty later on. In the end, the size of The Crafty sold me on it.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day!

Question regarding the warranty. If you send the Crafty in for warranty and they replace it does the 2-year reset? Or no matter how many replacements you get after 2 years from initial purchase warranty is over?

A couple days ago I sent my Crafty in for the first time. Bought it Jan 2015, v2.04 and have over 200 hours on it before I got the red/amber lights and also the housing was breaking off. And this really sucks because I was hoping it would last until I received my GH which should be coming later this month, hopefully. Cheaped out on a FM to hold me until I get one of the others and its making me miss the Crafty big time.

Someone stated that it resets in this thread, however another member confirmed with S&B that it does not reset.

Hey guys! I'm thinking of buying a nearly new crafty from someone (online), and was wondering how the warranty transfers, and what information I would need to get warranty. Do I have to register it or something? Thanks!
