HELP me ID my Crafty+

Earlier today I got my Crafty+ replaced through RMA due to issues with charging, and I just wonder if I'll receive the Micro-USB or the USB-C version.

On my invoice it says "CPAL-10-001" is the unit that has been sent out.

Do anyone know or still have their invoice from Storz & Bickel and can help me check this out? I guess it's the older Micro-USB Crafty+, but I'm not sure.
Which one you did the RMA?

I cannot tell you this. But i can say that i never never think they sent you the old device !!!
I had 2 RMAs with the Mighty+ in short time, they never repaired it, ever gives new device with accessories and charger.
They have very good customer service !

Edit: Sorry i thought you had the new device, i am not knowing because you had the old one.

MOST posts online say they got the old unit and not a upgrade. Micro-USB that would be(old). But I sure hope for a USB-C replacement, even thought of buying one when my issues started with now RMAd Crafty+.

Most likely you'll receive the same model
Ok, that was what I thought... but I had a faint hope for the USB-C...

I have had two Crafty+ replaced for charging issues. Both were micro-usb and were replaced with the same kind of unit.

BTW, I have had two Crafty+ (micro-USB). Both have had charging issues and I've been sent replacements. I'm wondering if anyone with the USB-C version are also experiencing similar problems. Besides this difficulty, I have really enjoyed the Crafty+ and would consider eventually migrating towards the newer version IF it is more reliable.
Thanks for your feedback.

I think S&B would probably give you a trade-in price to swap up to the newer model, especially if you have any further troubles with the current one.

I had an error shown of too low temp in 80°f room temp for my crafty+ and it would not charge or discharge. A user suggested the 10 second recalibrate which I couldn't seem to get working.

I ended up taking it apart to check for loose connectors or solder joints and all looked good so I put it back together ready to send it back for repair but tried it one more time and it began warming up.

Currently using it right now and it's working. I don't know what the problem was/is but it's strange since I didn't unplug the battery cell or anything.

Perhaps one my my recalibrate tried worked, but it for sure wasn't the first or second one because I tired opening it after a couple attempts and it worked after that

Thanks @vapviking and @condition for the help suggested. Not sure if it helped but at least I'm in the right thread now lol.

76 flight hours here with Crafty+, perfect vaporizer for my needs.
It is very light compared to Mighty.

100 hours on my Crafty+. Do about 4 bowls a day with whole nugs. Still can do 5 bowls before battery is dead at 198c. No charging issues here!

The thing that is most impressive to me is the ceramic coated bowl. Rings of crust do still build up on the lower area of the bowl, but they eventually can be completely burnt/brushed off as I use it. Just like the aluminum bowl, it’s hard to remove built up crust with alcohol and a qtip, but the ceramic coat and a brush do the trick over time to keep it clean.

Just polished off a Dutchberry nug and those berry flavors still coming through like a new vape! One easy way to clean the cooling unit is to swipe qtips in it right after use. It’s hot to handle but much quicker than an alcohol clean at room temperature.

Amazing customer service and RMA protocol. I had a Crfafty+ that was having battery issues (the battery gauge was not working and the battery was draining very quickly - only able to get 3 bowls). I initiated my RMA with Storz & Bickel within a week of sending them my video they sent me a brand new updated Crafty+ with the USB-C charging port!

Hopper Labs can learn a thing or two from them!

My Crafty+ from March 21 (237hrs) lost the “click” to it’s button (I have another Crafty+ & Mighty to compare). I RMA’d it to the Australian retailer I purchased from as they handle all warranty claims on behalf of the manufacturer. Received a full retail packaged 2022 USB C/ceramic version in replacement, very happy with that!

I'm always posting pics of my countdown outlet timers
Striving to prolong battery life, reducing the number of full charge cycles

Mighty+ "supercharger" in pic, OK for either

I'm uncoordinated, and sometimes press Crafty power button when inserting USB-C cable. Freaks me every time as it vibrates and blinks. First time it happened, I thought unit was faulty, but the user was faulty instead

How you liking it? I have a 2016 Mighty and have been eyeing this even though I don’t really need it 😂

@Vapetrees - Vapor is quite similar to Mighty
Both have the double and triple tap boosts, convenient
Have left both vapes on their preset temp defaults
I use Webble app on iphone to check battery level
So light compared to Mighty

I thoughts it’s ok to full charge, just not over charge? I’ve baby my first Might, want to do the same for Crafty+

Is the Crafty+ an on-demand or a session vape?

I'm looking for a portable unit that will stop heating the bud when I stop drawing.
Look for a pure convection style vape. There are quite a few of them these days, lucky us!
If you can afford a TinyMight, you would not regret the purchase.
A lot less $ might be a V3Pro, surprisingly nice vapor.
At the moment, I'm enjoying early morning coffee and the Taffee Bowle. Delicious.

Crafty is conduction, or at best a hybrid, the bud will cook when unit is on.
