Ha, I actually did buy a FF2, and then sold it on the Classifieds here the next day because I didn't really love it and immediately preferred using either my GH or UD. I like to get visible vapor and the FF2 vapor was too wispy, and if I wanted to get clouds, I needed to use a very long, very slow draw that I found to be kind of annoying.

Also, I wanted a session vape in the mix because the GH and UD are the perfect on-demand combo for me, but I didn't have anything to use that was convenient for when friends were over. That's why I've been looking at the Crafty / Mighty. Instead I decided to buy a CFX for now because it was considerably cheaper and the performance is excellent. Only thing I don't like is the draw resistance.
I started reading the Titanic 2 thread too. It looks like a good competitor to the cfx. You may want to take a look.

I wrote some shit the other day, about how I thought my Crafty is not doing it!
But to be fair I realise the Crafty ain't really a desk top and that is its downfall, the Crafty is potent and it sure does kick, so much so that its easy to assume it should be functioning as well as a desktop, which it isn't. The other thing about the Crafty (and the Mighty) is that given the cleaning of the appliance is not as required as say with the Pax2 then one can fall into the trap of not cleaning as regularly as required and believe me the gunk can build up -even though the Crafty/Mighty is still vaping, although the vape isn't as strong!

Well the best thing is to clean it regularly, I cleaned my the other day and I was pleasantly surprised at the difference! Also the reclaim (like squidgy black from back in the day) fucked me up - in a good way! So win win.

The other thing with the Crafty is that it can be temperamental when it comes to the charging if it has just been in use, I find it you have a sesh, you need to leave a few mins to cool down before it starts charging!

But as I said before, for a sneaky bowl on the go -the crafty is great, not much better out there IMHO when it comes to portables!

Not saying:) Just saying:2c: Without Saying;)

Nice - just got the capsules and happy to know that you can detect without sight which way the capsules face. So you can load full ones upside down and the empty ones the other way around. Really nice! Just opening the capsules can be a bit of a challenge

Was writing the same at the moment!:wave:
Really like the capsules, less cleaning the chambers!

Hi

After cleaning unused tobacco pouch change in "Crafty pouch" and protect against shock, a liquid accident or dust

this is possible - but the handling is a bit weird then ( especially getting them out )

I think @UniqueCrafty is referring to the cooling unit screen.
Which I am also curious about.

I'd probably leave mine on regardless, just cruious to know.

Got mine on order, just waiting for it to arrive, damn international shipping

Happy Crafty news!
1) Preloaded capsules very helpful yesterday during drums/space at theater.
2) 60 hours on odometer, 160C warmup times last two days: 2:07, 2:02, 2:04 YAY!
(Still obeying red light vape traffic rules)

red light rule?not using it untill ot cools down?

Draw when light is green. Stop drawing when light turns red.

Think my problem with first two Craftys was stress.
Never liked the one minute shutoff.
Before buying first Crafty, read reviews about it here.
Learned you could avoid pressing button if you forced a red light during draw.

Well, when I read that, oh boy -- I hit that Crafty hard trying to force red light.
Even took draws during red light of warmup to boost temp.

After my first two died, I got a desktop vape.
Started using third Crafty differently, trying to ease up on stresses.
My intuition led me. I have to believe others have had same thoughts?

With my v2.07 firmware, only get 5 seconds of green for first few draws.
Then you can get longer green intervals.
But, I learned to wait 5-10 sec after it turns green at start of session.
Get longer draws in beginning this way.

My Crafty may just be a freak. (in a good way)
Shouldn't assume anything with one example.

Welcome.
A triple threat of S&B vapes! Guess you like orange. So, which do you think is the best first hit? Most efficient?

The broken switch should be covered by warranty, we've heard a lot of reports of switch breaking on Crafty and Mighty. A good thing, though a catch22, is that if your draws aren't enough to keep the vape from timing out, a quick push of the button anytime will at least reset the clock. Yeah, use the shaky button more!
The 'newer' Mighty models now time out at two minutes rather than one.

Thanks. Sorry for delay, I've been high AF since that post.

I really don't feel much til the second or third hit unless it's great weed. But if I had to pick it would be crafty. Most efficient prob mighty. I can finish a bowl later on the mighty, while the crafty is always one session and done.

They should do some sort of sensor, springs are by rule bound to fail. Pain in the ass to send my vape to get fixed, and that's why I bought the crafty. I need to send the mighty before the crafty button stops working. I do a lot of stress testing on these devices.

The whole draw shut off things degrades the experience. Makes it feel less natural.

I think you are right on stress. That sort of things was what I always believed was the reason of many faulty units.
Imho you should be prosecuted for just thinking about hitting an innocent Crafty during warm up to "boost temp"? ;) Did it even work at all? ;)))
Same stress if you use it like a party vape, all time on red and the melts itself.

Old & In the Way
So I get to join the group of statistics with a Crafty that got the dreaded red and yellow lights.... 33 hours. I think I got it from PIU; waiting to hear back from them.

It's a sad day... :(
Sad day indeed, sorry to hear about that.
Someone mentioned that PIU may not be handling S&B claims anymore. If this is the case, don't hesitate to take it up with S&B America. I've had very good interactions over warranty claims. You would go to the site, open an 'account' and then register the device. Then fill out an RMA request. A flashing red/yellow light Crafty is a slam dunk as far as approval and a shipping label, etc.
My impression is that you've been happy with the Crafty. But if you've considered the Mighty, this is the opportunity for a 'warranty upgrade'.
In any case, best of luck; keep your Pax2 clean!

I tried completing an RMA form on the S&B site, but could not find my receipt, so I couldn't complete the retailer, purchase date or amount fields. Without this info, the system would not let me submit the form.

I do remember that I bought mine after the price drop, so I'm definitely in the warranty period.

So I emailed S&B explaining this and asking for help. And now I wait... It would be easier if my gh preorder would arrive NOW.

Figures this would happen on a weekend!

Short answer is no. They couldn't find it in their records, so I must have purchased it somewhere else. And I was so sure I got it from PIU! They got back to me quickly, and said I had to go through S&B directly, anyway. Still love those guys!

Yea man, I just got a mighty from piu, my 3rd vape from them. From what I can tell on the forums s&b Germany has the better customer service

That's what it sounds like from reading the threads here. Hopefully, I'll have a great experience (considering my Crafty shit the bed, which isn't a great experience!).

IIRC you did a lot more hours with your first Crafty (or just vape sparingly and it is still your first one).
