is the crafty small enough to be an everyday carry around like the mflb or is it too big to be a stealthy on the go vape?

Totally small enough to fit in most pockets, there's a couple videos on this page showing it in hand. However; the Crafty has a middle name and that middle name is smelly lol. Get yourself a drypak like this and you're all set. No smell:

Its pretty small so I would say yes - not as small as the MFLB but small. About the size of a deck of cards. I think the MFLB in "native" mode would be more stealthy in public though.

I cut the top off of a juice box, cleaned it and put my crafty in there. Walked around the zoo with it and no one even gave a second look lol

I have done that and it works great ! However I only use the indestructible 15mm screens now ( I hate how the steel and brass screens come apart so easily after regular use), mainly for piece of mind. Using the oil pad also conserves medicine which is always great ! Besides, I love milking my bubbler with the Crafty and it's only possible with the oil pad, unless you make/or buy an adaptor. We're going to post a video demoing that soon. Stay tuned !

Hi! Today I clocked 98 hours. My units serial is 10××× and firmware 2.05.
It heats with a losely packed full chamber in 2:34 min. to max. temperature. It overheats and shuts off after 18:45 minutes (without heat up time). I can do 2 of these sessions + one 7 minute session on 180!


This gave me 18 minutes good clouds with 5 second draws and one draw per minute.

All I can say is that I am impressed!
I LOVE MY CRAFTY!

How does one get the 2.05 firmware and what are the advantages/changes? Is it worth sending it in?

Current firmware is 2.06 really haven't seen much difference in the different versions. I wouldn't bother with sending it back for just a firmware update.

So I received my PAX 2 yesterday and I would say my experience with it is 7.5/10 where the Crafty is a 9.5/10. The PAX 2 definitely creates some thick clouds for something that small, however the resistance on it leaves a lot to be desired. Sure I can create thick clouds and the vapour taste great in the beginning, however a lot of times, I feel like I'm sucking from a milkshake and it annoys me. If you want portability and battery life, the PAX 2 destroys the Crafty in this aspect, however if you want a portable vaporizer that resembles a desktop one the most, the Crafty/Mighty is leagues ahead of the PAX 2.

I saw someone mention that the unit has an odor to it. Is that true? How bad does it smell?

Also, what its he maximum amount of time you have gotten from a single charge? I am very concerned that the battery life and eventual decline of its capacity will render the unit useless in a few short years. Therefore, I am thinking sacrifice the portability a bit and just go with the Mighty.

Do you notice any issue with the battery? Most importantly does your unit smell bad? Note, I am referring to before or after using. Not smelling during the session I know they all have a smell during the "green" time.

My home unit is a Volcano so I am covered there. in fact, I just had an eruption from it. I enjoy it every single time. The best vape in my opinion. I had a Pax 1 but sold it for a Pax 2 and then got he Pax 2 and realized it was way to smelly and not portable at all. So now I will be selling my Pax 2 and trying the Crafty. I figured form the convention style heating of the Crafty maybe it will be less smelly than the Pax 2 which is more conduction based. I need a reliable, stealthy, and effective portable unit. If it is the Crafty I will just have to get a battery bank.

I honestly don't smell it in an open room....closed car is a different story. I don't think it smells much, but I keep my crafty sparkling. Apparently there is a new plastic type of smell on units when brand new, which dissipates quickly. My unit had a few hours on it so I never ever detected this plastic smell, and i'm pretty sensitive.

Few short years? I'm anticipating changing out the battery within 3-6 months! lol The battery charge lasts myself 3 bowls and I pack quite a bit in and vape from 180-195 typically over maybe 5-7 minutes? But yeah, the $50 battery swap isn't cheap, but i'm hoping that it can be done by the user in the future.

it overheats from time to time, but not enough to make it annoying. I'm happy the safety feature is implemented. Anything to extend the life of the battery helps.

Yep, for me it is...many variables...bowl size, temperature, draw speed, user experience, etc.. just to name a few.

If it's going to be your portable vape, go with the crafty.
If you're going to lean on it as your only vape, go with the mighty.

That is something I didn't take into consideration. Does the Crafty handle half packed chambers well? Also, does your Crafty have an odor to it? Do you have any issues with your battery?

Can S&B not pick up the dog and done and ask Ploom what battery is in the Pax2? Or not compatible? Crazy thoughts..
I keep my Crafty in a draw when not in use, cant smell anything until you get really close to the unit and that's with a fully packed load!
My Ascent, Solo, Pinnacle all stunk like Bob Marleys underpants compared to the Crafty.

My issue with the Mighty is that you cannot bring it to a concert or on a bike ride because it's too big. I need to be able to throw it in my pocket and bike to the beach or school.
