For me i knew all the possible issues before buying my Crafty (thanks to all you FC guinea pigs:tup:) and the fact that it is just one of four vapes i use every day means for me some of them are not so much of an issue, mine has never overheated (never felt more than warm) but i always wait at least ten minutes between bowls, and when i do hit it its a case of go hard or go home (full bowl finished fast):science:

Vaporisers remind me of something my mechanic tells me whenever i turn up with my car looking to improve it...Cheap and reliable is not fast. Cheap and fast is not reliable. Fast and reliable is not cheap!...In short if you want the best (i use the word best loosely) its going to cost £££.

My Crafty actually cost (under £200) £2 less than my Firefly so for me purchase price is not as big a deal as battery replacement costs could be (£30 a time i believe) over its lifetime, i like @biohacker would love a user changeable battery but i think this wont happen as it would make the Mighty pointless almost, except for the temp display. Unless instead of a Crafty2 they use my idea of...are you ready?...wait for it...THE Mighty Crafty unit (see what i did there:D) that replaces both, if they did this and also added true pass through usage IMO this would be close to perfect but thats just wishful thinking:drool:

So far I'm at just under 10 hours with no issues, hopefully it stays that way time will tell.

I do agree the battery life can be an issue, I can live with batteries wearing out with long term use. But I have yet to see one crafty that needed to be sent back due to the battery.

Before the battery wears out something else breaks. Biggest issue I feel is once units get 50 or so hours they tends to start overheating more. I feel this leads to the famous flashing lights of death. That plus the plastic becomes brittle over time, maybe due to the heat up cool down it experiences. I feel this leads to the breakage around the bowl.

Don't get me wrong I love this vaporizer it extract easier, maybe even better than any other portable in my collection. Compared to others portables I own it's easy to load and use with my disability's. Plus I feel they will get these issue fixed. My last replacement was 14,3XX so there selling well.

We're not talking long term use here as there is plenty documented about slowing warmup times with age. I believe the warmup time to an empty bowl at 180c on a new Crafty (under 5 hours) is about 1:40-1:50, and after 20 hours it's over 2:00 and more like 2:20 to warm up to the same temp. 20 hours is in no way alot of usage, and can you imagine what it would be after 100+ hours? I'm sure it won't be long before batteries are being sent back for exchange....it hasn't been out all that long yet, and it seems like most here are fairly new adopters, or lighter users, unless the veterans have been silent?

It's been out for almost 6 months now, so by now there should be some units with well over 100 hours on them. Sadly theres not that many and it's not due to battery wearing out from what I been reading.

a few people mentioned its not the greatest for oil although it works fine. im going to give it a go tonight.

which pen did you use? there are pens that are wickless now so you dont get the after taste.

62 wonderful hours with my crafty. going strong CY0050X0. I love it so much that I wouldn't mind buying a new one every 2 years. It takes me to a blissful place with charming elegance!

I used the micro gpen originally then I have also used the v hit type b and the seego Vhit Glacier with a variable voltage battery, I have also used torches and rigs
I however haven't tried the wickless atomizer. I don't really get high when I use pens though either (maybe it's just me) the nail gets me high, but if I use it too much I wake up with my lungs feeling coated
I personally have found the mighty/crafty to be my favorite way of using concentrates... it gets you ripped without the punch in the face and the avb is dry and not sticky which makes me believe it's using them up

I hope you like yours; I seem to be in the minority on my view of the Pax 2. Everyone else is raving about playing Simon and hearing Funkytown; I just want a decent draw. I think it is very hard to go to other portables after using the Crafty; it's in a league by itself!

That's absolutely unbelievable and i'd love for others to chime in as well. So many variables...vape temp, length of sessions, frequency of recharge, idle charge status, etc..

You obviously should share how you have taken care!

I use the crafty the whole temp range and nearly every session ends 210. My sessions are 10-15 minutes long and I try to recharge after every session and not to drain the whole battery. I clean/change my cooling once a week after 10-12 hours of use. The crafty unit itself I only cleaned once with 99.9 Iso and a toothbrush..looked like new!

I quit smoking once again and I want to treat me with a new, smaller vape with the same great taste and a well established company behind itself.
My minivap "sessions" are just a pull each. After each one I turn off the unit and probably have another 5/10 seconds long inhale after 30min/1hour.
How much would a crafty last with such usage?

@WakeAndVape Has the Mighty got two batteries instead of one like the Crafty? Guessing about an hour vaping before it dies? Or longer? I am hoping I can get one on a 4/20 sale!

If you only take one hit every 30-60 minutes, I don't think the Crafty is your best choice. It pre-cooks your herb a bit, so there's going to be some loss of actives turning it on and off like that. I think a device that doesn't cook your load would be better suited for your situation. Have you considered the LB, or FF, or the FV? They only heat during your draw, so the load stays "fresher". :2c:

I just got my Crafty today off vapeworld.com, as a replacement for my Pax. The Pax was an okay vape but I ran into troubles with it: inconsistent hits, strong draw resistance and having to stir the bowl. The Crafty is just a 10/10. Feels like you are sipping vapor from a straw, and the overall quality of the vape is top class.

okay i gave it go last night. wax on the oil pad first, then i loaded it with some bud and put the wax on top.

with the wax on its own, you have to make sure the temp is very high. very tasty hits, uses it all up. however you also suck in a lot of air with the craty, which makes getting massive draws harder than a pen. a pen heats up instantly, and the airflow is more restrcited so when you take a draw, you get thick vapour, within a couple seconds. with the crafty i found you have to take a much longer draw for the same amount of cloud. however the crafty is tastier.

with the wax on top of the herb, this works best. it makes the vapour thick,and you dont have to take such long draws, which equals less coughing more enjoying.

from now on i will be using my pens and the crafty for concontrates, depending on the situation. if i want a long session im going to go with the crafty, plus it hold such large amounts of wax. :)

now only if my crafty didnt overheat :(
