I exclusively use the fine screens. Also 80% of my sessions are half bowls with the liquid pad. This keeps the CU very clean. I do an ISO rinse every 10 days or so.

Glad it helped! Happy crafting!

How would you say the taste is and cloud production is with the oil pad versus not having it on

I can assure you that S&B isn't the only company that does.

Which Vape companies do this as well? i would love to know which companies have the best CS and who doesn't like ploom

Not to muddy the water, but I once got a completely new unit as a replacement for a faulty Pinnacle Pro exactly as s&b has reportedly done with many Mighty and Crafty owners, but today you'd be hard pressed to find much praise for Vaporblunt's CS.

I can wholeheartedly vouch for Triihouse as among the best though, just stellar CS from them.

I'd say a little less vapour but much less taste with the oil pad on the crafty.

Good news, I just got shipping noticed on the returned unit I shipped back on Monday. There sending it by fedex this time. Really hoping this one will be last unit for awhile. I requested a new unit this time hopefully they don't sent a reconditioned unit. Nice to see some unit's hitting 100 hours gives me some hope.

I do have to say I miss the extraction when units are out for repair. Just going have to bite the bullet and use the old cement zap when at home. Just so much easier being cordless and having larger bowl on the crafty.

To me this the perfect vaporizer when out and about and have 5-10 uninterrupted mins to really get medicated. Strong hits but with the cloud production just not super stealthily. When need super stealthily I use the elevape. I feel between the 2 covers my main needs for away from home. A heavy hitter to get there, then instant hit's to keep me there.

I tried the oil pad for oil from the CU but I got the best results with cotton. After 3-4 bowls, while the CU is hot, open it up and clean as much as you can with a q-tip. Remove the cotton tip, make it a little fluffy with your fingers and into that oven! There is your bonus session and a cloudy one indeed!!! I usually vape it at max temp. :)

Thanks for the reply! I ended up using the liquid pad, I really liked! The effect is much stronger than I am used

This amount is the result of three cleanings, I have 19 hours of use

Just got my tracking data. Looks like going take a week to get here. Not sure why they went to fedex but that's going suck if it add another week in transit time per repair. Here thought I might have it by Saturday now Thursday. Sadly this will make over a month in transit time for me without a working unit. Sorry have to vent a little. Guess show's I miss it. Guess just have to hope it gets here quicker is all.

So last night I decided to replace the screen in the oven after 20 hours in. Im glad I did because it needed some tlc. After an iso wipe I went to get the replacement screen but Id forgotten I used the 2nd fine screen for about 5 hours in my cu. (Stock screen is my preferred setup) I dropped them both in the iso bath with the cu and let them soak and after they dried picked one and painfully put it back in the oven. Feels like brand new and the oven BLINGS again. Yep I brought bling back lol.

Guys, do your bowls get dirty on the walls after much use or are you able to keep up with the cleaning so it's like new?

I left mine to gunk up at some point cause it was getting too hard to keep in pristine condition...

I clean everything after every 2 hours of use. My technique for cleaning the bowl is to dip a q-tip in ISO, roll the tip on a paper towel to remove excess ISO, and then wipe it down inside until the q-tips come out clean. I notice that the most gunk builds up right on the ridge where the metal meets the gray plastic. I also Change the fine screen and clean underneath after every 20 hours of use. I'd say my crafty stays pretty pristine. It's a matter of getting into the rhythm. I usually clean it right after using it while I watch TV.

My bowl was nice and clean, but I did a session with the liquid pad @200 C, where it seemed like it would not finish. Haul after haul and there was still visible vapor. When I decided to check the load, it was the darkest I had seen it and there was some nice heavy resin staining.

I tried to clean it with ISO, but it didn't seem to help. Performance has not been affected at all. Just cosmetic so no worries on my part. Me thinks that the liquid pad scours the oven walls, which would make it more susceptible to staining.

That would explain a small dark mark I can't seem to remove on the side of my oven.

I'm at 50 hours of max temp use. I still have not replaced my bottom screen, i've cleaned it with an ISO dipped q tip and it seems ok.

The screen prevents you from seeing all the fine particles that are below. The protrusion in the middle prevents you from getting the stuff that builds around the little air holes beneath the screen. After 20 hours mine wasn't that dirty, but it was noticeable. There was no resinous material just black "dust".

Starting to show a little wear on the battery. My sessions are on the long side, 15 minute-ish, and I get about 2 uses per charge now. 3 if I keep them very short. I still charge after most uses. ( My exact charge habits are documented in a earlier post. ) In the end I really don't know if that has helped or hurt.

I love my Crafty. Best portable vape I've had. But it's kind of a sad cometary on the industry as a whole when after paying 400+ dollars, a person seems to feel lucky to get 100 hours.

I know it's not, and probably won't ever be, but I do think the warenty should cover one free battery change. At this rate on a two year warenty, I'll end up paying $100 to $150 just on battery changes.
I think a person is more likely to fork out another 400+ dollars when SnB's true 2.0 or 2.5 or even 3.0 comes out instead of replacing the batteries for the 3rd time, 4time, etc.

I do love this vape. But I'm seeing a problem down the road I'm not sure I'm liking the look of.

Having said that, to people on the fence trying to decide if they want to pull the trigger, I would still recommend Crafty. With the portables I have owned and experienced through others, it's still the best you can do. ( For my tastes and in my opinion. Lighten up crafty haters! :peace: )

Thankfully the walls of the bowl are easy to clean. While the unit is still warm, after a session, just wipe a Q-tip around. Since it's warm, nearly everything comes off. Just dip the Q-tip in a little iso to really get everything.

Do you notice any more draw resistance after 50 hours compared to brand new? For me it was only noticeable after I cleaned under the screen

Hello everyone, this is my first post ...

I wanted to share with everyone how I use the liquid pad.
just remove the cu screen and put the liquid pad...works great!
i use at 175 C and very very fine grind.
10º to 180º 2.35 (71hrs)
All the best

Welcome! I use the liquid pad almost exclusively.

Looks like that 2:30 warmup is fairly consistent around here. Happy crafting!
