Arizer Solo 3

Yes, of course I tried, but I can't get it clean anymore.
It's less than a week old and I'm wondering what it would look like in the next few months.
and it surprises me because I use it upside down and nothing falls in

Cooler does not equal better IMO. I had way more comfort using WARM water than ice COLD water and there might actually be a thread on this somewhere. Not to mention less phase change/reclaim.
I agree with this ^^^

Room temp water and a pinch of himalayan sea salt in the bubbler stops any irritation for me.

I don't use the solo 3 through water though, I run mine at 170*C and just lightly sip away on it. 5 mins and it's spent n done.

Are you folks with coughing/irritation issues taking HUGE rips?

Maybe change up your style?

Just my opinion, the space we’re talking about is small, and resin tends to get everywhere your stem touches, leaving little spots of resin to bake on. You can see where my stem touches. I always load my stems with lots of space between the tube and heater, but it still happens. I’ve always used 91 ISO.
You can always cram some steel wool in the heater and try scraping it off. Good luck.

I have now cleaned again with ISO and also used some toothpicks.
Things are looking better now.
I'm surprised it got stains so quickly.
And yes, I pay attention when filling. I even easily have 1-2 mm free at the bottom

That looks so much better. When the oven is clean everything tastes better too!

Maybe wipe the oven at the end of every day if you find the reclaim builds up quickly 👌

I've also vaped at 200-210-220 degrees... Although I'm careful...

But I have no idea what I did wrong yesterday... I think I was just too greedy... But I didn't feel like I necessarily pulled much more than usual.

But it really hurt afterwards...

The next morning I also felt that my lungs were still hurting.

and something else:

Somehow I have the feeling that my heating chamber is getting dirtier every day... Even though no crumbs fall and I actually only use the bong upside down and I'm careful not to turn it, small black spots keep appearing.

When I see your photos, they look almost new

that looks like signs of combustion to me. My first one was running so hot it was combusting even turned down to 340F!

My oven has gone from silver to golden in colour. ISO will get off some but I think there is a very, very thin layer that is now baked on. I don't think it has any effect other than the colour. I will also note that I don't clean the oven very often, maybe once or twice a month other than blowing out any debris that falls out of the stem.

@pop22 I've been wondering if an out of spec Solo is @RAMMSTEIN's issue. That would explain the pain. I usually run my Solo up to 210c and I have baby lungs. I do cough sometimes (even at lower temps) but nothing like what they are reporting.

Stainless steel will develop a golden patina over time just from being heated up to vaping temps, could just be that

@RAMMSTEIN if you have trouble getting the resin out in the future, you could try using the alcohol while the oven is still pretty warm. Not hot enough to boil the alcohol, but nice and toasty. Baked on stuff usually comes off more easily that way for me. Sometimes Dark Crystal works better than alcohol on stuff like that for me also.

This:
Maybe your bong is somehow giving some back pressure when you're using it and forcing vapor back towards the solo? You could try removing the Solo by hand briefly as you're finishing your hits to see if this helps. I never have trouble keeping my oven clean.

Yes I'm presuming that when you use it upside down with big hits, since the heater is still running, you cannot fully clear them, so vapor is then rising up into the unit, depending how much the dirtier it will get over time, if you clean more frequently it might be able to be avoided, or you could change technique further... again that's why I really like my custom WPA that fits looser so I can remove it to clear each hit regardless of the heater, seems to help keep mine even further pristine but I always have that ocd

I'm more of a "clean up" type.
I usually put everything in ISO every 2-3 days and clean everything..

It's important to me that everything looks neat and tidy.
Of course, a heating chamber can get dirty over time, but I was surprised that Solo 3 can get dirty so quickly.
But let's see, everything is clean now, I've had a few sessions and everything looks good.

Yeah I'm so lazy with cleaning so I do everything I can to procrastinate that lol so many spares to swap before having to clean most things so if I can keep the vape clean for as long as possible that's ideal, why I love the glass stem chamber path systems...

Great, yeah if you are cleaning regularly, and running it, you should be able to keep it clean to your liking, time always tells

Been spending more time with the on demand mode following my recent one heat extraction accident..

Happy to say I’ve now got it pretty consistent and can now clear a standard stem in one level 5 25sec heat cycle. It’s all in making the inhale as long, slow and deep as possible, and then riding the “conduction aftershock” to clear the last few puffs post cooldown beep. No need for a second heatup. As I’m drawing I can feel the intensity of the heat and terps hitting my throat about halfway through the long inhale, as long as I feel that I know it’s a winner. After that it’s just a few cleanup hits to contend with.

This is actually pretty useful as I can clear a bowl in about 60 seconds. The signature is a little headier and I get a bit more of an initial head rush. It’s a nice little piece to have in the toolbox for sure.

Ultimately though, I still think the session mode at 210-220 is going to remain my preference with this device. I just really like how the heater will rev up and down as needed, which basically makes the session last as long as I want it to. It seems to automatically match the pace I naturally go at, and the load is usually done by about the time I am.

Somehow I burned my lungs yesterday.
Just before going to bed, I made a pot with a bong.
At 195 degrees...
Normally this isn't a problem, but I think I got too greedy and pulled long and fast.
Afterwards I had to cough really badly and my throat hurt for at least 30-45 minutes afterwards... It was really irritable.
Even this morning I feel the irritation and still have a cough

Hi,

I have to correct/revise my own post here.
Yes, I actually coughed a lot and my lungs hurt afterwards and I had problems the next day too.
But it turned out that it wasn't Solo 3... but that I've had a bad cold and a cough since last week...

And it's completely normal that when you're sick, your lungs are also very irritated.
On the Saturday when it happened, I didn't feel that sick, but it started on Sunday and I noticed that I was coming down with a cold.
So Solo 3 wasn't to blame... I don't want to give the wrong impression here

And today I'm on sick leave and am at home...
Of course I use Solo 3 carefully and rather at a lower temperature...
What strikes me as positive is that the high is somehow more intense with a glass stem than with a bong... Or I'm just imagining it :)

I am happy to hear that it is only a cold and that you will get past this. Are you talking about running the Solo though a bong or a combusting? Vaping is more efficient in terms of effect per gram than combusting. And running the vapour though water or a dry glass piece will also condense some of the vapour and that may be noticeable in the effects. With the stem is is straight from the herb into you.

Hey bro been a minute! Are you still digging the Solo 3 over dabs? I tried to get back into flower since I have access to the best now but couldn't get on with the Venty and thinking with the new on-demand mode perhaps it's time to give this one a test drive with some glass.
Still my go to vaporizer, but honestly, barely been vaping these days.

I wanted to order accessories for Solo 3, but I always read Solo 1 & 2...
I think Solo 2 accessories also fit Solo 3?

Can I order everything that says Solo 2 here?

Yes, everything that says either Solo/Air/Air Max. All use the same size as the Solo 3

Only thing that won’t work is the Argo accessories

I hear you. Very happy you have achieved the first step! Most of Europe is very weed-unfriendly.... it's a shame.

I love rosin as it's a solventless process, just heat and pressure and the pure flower. This rosin is listed as 64-75% THC. The smell, taste and high is so intense. The vapor is almost sweet. I hope you get access to this stuff soon.

That stem is awesome!

So I have been experimenting with my new solo 3 for about 2 weeks. Is it just me or this thing dry my mouth like no other vape? I drink water like crazy but my mouth always turned like the desert, quite un pleasing and I always end up snoring ;) anyone got any solutions? Any stems helped? Never had any problem with my solo 2 and I feel it’s not that bad in the tm2 either…

I agree, it has some mouth and throat drying qualities. For me it helps not to hit every bowl natively, instead I throw some bong rips in between.

Yesterday a friend of mine was showing me his harvest of 8 (!) strains. Knowing that this would dry my respiratory system hard, I brought my small bong to his place. We’ve been hitting this thing all night with the S3, no drying issues at all.
