    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Also owning an Extreme-Q, I had wondered what it would be like using a Cloud HT rather than the Q's whip. I also wanted to do as much of an apples-to-apples Cloud/Q comparison as I could. So using a male/male 18mm adapter, I rigged my HT to work with the Q, elbow-pack style. Pics and comments...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

For anyone following this thread who also owns (or plans or is interested in) a Cloud, thought it might interest you how I rigged my Cloud HydraTube to work with my Q. I guess you could call this a "poor man's Cloud". :D I've had wondered how the Q would work directly connected to a zero-drag...

I use a loose pack also. I just tap the bottom of the ELB on the table a few times gently to settle the contents. It seems that about ~.25-.3g fills the ELB, keeping in mind that the cap enters 1/4" (a quarter of the way in, the ELB is exactly 1"). Those who "tap" or "flick" the ELB during the...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I've found that while it's not required, stirring when the ELB is more than half full is helpful - the next couple of hits are a bit bigger. With the ELB loaded half or less, stirring doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference. So I've settled on one stir but only when loading ~.2g or more...

@stonemonkey, The new tree HT is exciting but I really miss the ice pinches. Has VXL perhaps decided to discourage or even disallow HT pinches because of the perceived additional risk? (I'm using ice even though my HT doesn't have pinches; functions just as well but I'd just prefer not...

The accusations were that you have been dishonestly misled and that VXL's technical concerns are not valid. IMO those are serious because they indicate malfeasance and incompetence; and are inappropriate because there is not sufficient substantiation. I'm not cross at you at all. At my age...

Of course you have a point. And please re-read my post: I not only did not poke you for frustrated venting, I stated explicitly that you are entitled to do so. It's the leap from frustration to serious unsupported accusations that I couldn't let pass. By the way, a side note re others with...

Well how about this then for being a "valid perspective": It's not appropriate to make accusations that you are being flat out lied to when you are not technically qualified on the subject and cannot substantiate your accusation. And by substantiation, I mean technical specifics. Not...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

And on yet another but different positive note . . . I am please to report another new convert to the vaporization faith, and it is all due to the Cloud! Until this last week-end I had been living with a skeptic. She has never been a major fan of the herb, largely because she is a delicate...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Maybe the high price is for all that non-functional engraving. No thanks. I have a male/male adapter on order with AquaLab so that I can try my HydraTube with the Q. And this will also eliminate the whip. :D

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

You're welcome. Here's the additional measurements I said I'd take with the unit set full bore. Ambient 77F (2 above last tests), Fahrenheit. I again took readings at ~15 minutes and at 1+hr, with fresh .5 bowl inserted @~3 minutes (after the 15), then after taking 1 deep rip (omigod what a...

Glad to accommodate. Here's the post with the measurements I took: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/threads/vapexhale-cloud.5247/page-87#post-218376 Short answer: Noon setting, 1+ hours. The heat did not rise with additional time. I was mostly interested in the temp at the herb inside the...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

You're right, that's exactly the fan (I just looked). What had thrown me off were the pics on this page: http://www.fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-extreme-vaporizer-thread-part-ii.28/page-11 Obviously the design has been substantially changed since. Omigod, tough enough being an oldie, but...

The Delta is an excellent fan. It's long been one of the top choices for custom computer rigs. I'm not so sure that is the model though. I can't seem to find the pics of the Q's internals, but I don't recall the fan having that type of housing with its off-center fin placement.

While technically speaking a warranty is legally binding insurance, for most consumer products it is primarily a marketing device. This is particularly true for longer warranties because electronics companies know that the vast majority of warranty claims will be not only within the first year...
