    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Thank jack, I appreciate the suggestion. What I've found so far is that the mids I have need a bit more heat. Also, I have a medicinal need for CBD's which with this material also seems to require more heat. I'd give the proverbial arm-and-leg to have access to what I did before leaving Sonoma...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Very impressive mods and tweaks, guys!

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Thanks a million, guys! Damn - after reading your posts I remembered reading about this but I guess that info went to the senility bucket. I will adjust my routine accordingly straightaway. I think I'll also go back to starting at 10, finishing at 12. I had switched to using noon all the...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

No, it's not dumb. I am. It was meant to convey that this was the highest temp the unit reached at the noon setting, i.e., there was no increase in temp after an hour.

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I first tried to measure the ELB temp upon removal and finally gave up. It cooled too fast, making the measurements pointless. I did however manage to stick myself again with one of those very fine wires that sometimes protrudes from the ELB.

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I finally got around to taking some measurements with my RayTek IR (essentially same tool as the Fluke), and thought you all might be interested. It's good to remember than when an object becomes hot to the touch, differences of even a few degrees may be be noticeable. And of course each...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

The site isn't finished; the online store isn't up for any of the products. But sure is a helluva lot better than what's been out there. That said, I find it a bit frustrating that the "27 upgrades" to the Q aren't indicated at all other than what is implied on the Features page (the precision...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Actually I have looked and didn't notice any darkening. I'll look again. I think though that it might vary depending on the herb, load, time, temp. That's a good point about heating the herb yourself to get the best flavor. I've noticed that too. The pre-heat is great if you want that first...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

Then you find it better to insert the ELB after the Cloud goes green rather than when you first turn it on? I do the latter, but maybe I'm missing something? That's terrific. I suspect you'll get your own backlog of pre-orders. :)

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

TheOtherSideVapes - Your comments are all well taken, and I defer to you given your considerably greater experience with the product. And thanks for the reminder re the version numbers; you're of course right, I had forgotten that. My remark about warranty cost was admittedly overly...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

IMO a fair speculation would be that if the Q's design had changed substantially, Arizer would treat it as a product version update (i.e., "5"). It would only make sense to get marketing leverage from that, if possible, to stimulate new demand and to recover the cost of the improvements. That...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

I still am working on this, er, challenge. The hits are so smooth even at noon that all I know is that I've inhaled as much as I can, I'm not quite sure how much I got until I exhale, and then I'm surprised. As was posted before, using ice adds even more to this effect making it easy to inhale...

    Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

It's sorta similar to the EQ preheat. The glass joint gets a little warm and so a small amt of heat transfers to the ELB. Not remotely enough to cook the herb. It just adds a little warm-up to the herb to speed things up a bit to get the max on the first hit. But not at all necessary, just a...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

Many users use silicone tubing instead of the stock PVC because it is much easier to work with. The stock ID is 5/16" but given silicone's elasticity, tubing that is +/- 1/16" ID is OK, too. I bought 25' from Amazon, much cheaper that way, enough to last for a long time. IMO should be medical...

Tstat, I'm in. Maybe for two or even three. :)

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

foolie, I'm really glad you posted that. NewSchoolExplorer, IMO this illustrates how subjective the terms "thick" and "big" clouds are. To me, that's a big tube full of thick vapor there. But apparently for many, I dunno maybe most, the SSV hits bigger and so that's used as a big hitting...

    The Extreme-Q Vaporizer

OK, I just didn't want to offer unsolicited opinion. :) So, as far as I've never used the No2 so I don't know your reference point. From your post it sounds that you want to hit big (i.e., thick clouds thru the bong) but want to minimize drag. Assuming that's correct . . . a large number of Q...
