No, it's not dumb. I am. It was meant to convey that this was the highest temp the unit reached at the noon setting, i.e., there was no increase in temp after an hour.

I first tried to measure the ELB temp upon removal and finally gave up. It cooled too fast, making the measurements pointless. I did however manage to stick myself again with one of those very fine wires that sometimes protrudes from the ELB.

I finally got around to taking some measurements with my RayTek IR (essentially same tool as the Fluke), and thought you all might be interested. It's good to remember than when an object becomes hot to the touch, differences of even a few degrees may be be noticeable. And of course each...
