The local ACE Hardware store has a surprisingly good inventory of hardware including corks of various sizes. For the HT's bottom joint ~3/4" fits, and for the top ~7/8". These corks are very basic (and cheap), so they need to be pushed in tight to get a good seal, but work just fine.

The silicone tubing I linked to at Amazon above is exactly the same ID/OD/Wall dimensions as the Arizer pvc, and it works perfectly in all respects. U.S. Plastics carries a Tygon that works fine, and McMaster-Carr sells similar. As already mentioned, the SSV tubing is larger - IIRC 3/8" ID...
