Jesus christ! I am having a really hard time getting any pleasure from the Tinymight. I feel like it has to be me as I see so many people love it. But I'm frankly beginning to HATE this freaking vape. I feel like I wasted $300, I kinda think a crappy no name vape i got from a headshop was better. I have other vapes and love them, this thing never seems to work like I want it to. I have tried different stems, different grinds, different pack methods, long inhales, short inhales, dosing capsules. Just now I spent $15 on dosing capsules thinking it would help with an even roast. I can't get a single hit outta the thing, I mean I'm firing on level 10 for 20 seconds with nothing! About to sell it and give up!
This may be a crazy thought, but are you sure the unit is working? I ask because it uses a resistance heating coil that gets very hot, so much so that after a few hits your stem AND TM body should be hot....AND, you should be draining your battery.

If there is heat, make sure the rubber washer is in place and your airflow is going through properly.

@Misterhyde86 - have you tried both on-demand and session mode? It really shouldn’t matter but it may provide insight into the real root cause, like improperly sealed oring (as mentioned above) or a missing one. While I’ve never used capsules with mine most TM users think they’re not worth it. Have you tried slightly loosening the main screw and tightening it again? Be sure to remove battery and stem before doing so. Hope you get it working as it should - it rocks and alway has for me for 2+ years. Using it… now :D:peace:

In my experience it seems like anything that touches the glass doesn't toast.
This is my experience as well, but I feel with how much effect I get from a small amount of flower, having some ABV look green is OK.

If your ABV is getting dark, albeit unevenly, I would think you're getting hot air through the stem. Not sure why you wouldn't be getting hits if your ABV is dark.

The Tinymight is a powerhouse that pushes the limit. TM has worked out the power/size ratio unlike any portable I've used. While providing an assault of thick vapor, it is undeniably smooth. I love the Grav Upline Taster stem(thanks @Shit Snacks ) and recommend it, but the stem that comes with the unit is just as smooth and enjoyable.
This will be retiring some vapes.

My one slight issue... I keep forgetting to turn it off.
That little 1,2,3 eludes me as I reel from the wall of fog(I guess that's a "me" issue.) Luckily it uses good old 18650s so really no issue, but if TM were to implement a 4 min auto-shutdown this would be grazing perfection.

@Misterhyde86 again, I'd recommend confirming your batteries are fresh, and if they are, contact TM and get your unit replaced. It doesn't appear that your usage is representative of what the Tinymight can do and you deserve to experience what it can for your initial investment.
Pretty sure you'll be glad that you did.

Yeah, I really would like an auto shutoff. But, to be fair, if it automatically shutoff, my hands would get cold faster.

It is always nice to get confirmation that those of us swearing by this vape are not nuts. While it hasn't replaced any vapes for me cause I like variety, it certainly gets more use than any of my other vapes these days.

New to the group, but I’d like to add that I’m loving the TM, specifically with the Grav Octotaster. I think the glass screen is great and has a very good resistance. I like it better than the Upline personally.

I don't feel like it's right to contact the manufacturer at this time. I really don't think there is anything wrong with it, I think I just don't enjoy it like most of you. I can't get over the extremely uneven toasting. I really want to like it, I love the way it feels. I tried it again today, ended up getting frustrated and smoked 2 vapcaps instead. I'm thinking its close to time to sell, but I keep hoping I find a way that is how I want it to be. I have checked the o ring. I have used fresh batteries. I fact I have probably discharged 6 batteries trying to use the vape. Once again I don't think its faulty, I gets very hot.

By the way I never recommended that specific stem, I don't even have it myself! (I have grav octa which I never use) ;)

Sure it's totally possible it might not be for you, but sometime things take time to get used to, when they are so different from what you are used to, because this is nothing like a vap cap in the extraction is nothing like that, maybe if you are pursuing that that is part of the problem? It's not that we are all just satisfied with uneven extraction, for example I don't have that issue with mine and the way I use it...

You're right @Shit Snacks my mistake. I believe it was @Zipford who recommended it, and he's owed my thanks cause it's it!
Looks cool as well, a beautiful little tube of glass.

How do you use it for an even cook?

I can't get over the extremely uneven toasting.

So first of all the unevenness can be deceiving; if it occurs, then (as you hinted) it mostly affects the stuff that sits at the glass. On closer inspection (after removing the abv), those green parts are actually negligeable. However, I do only see that (or any other kind of unevenness) when I grind too fine and / or when I pack too tight. Loading a medium coarse grind via the straw method should easily take care of that – it's not the only way to load the TM, but maybe go from there if you haven't already.

Also note that the TM extracts rapidly fast, so don't expect too much after the first few hits. That's the nature of the beast.

How do you use it for an even cook?

I use other stems usually as WPA, in various dry glass, starting low and milking low temps, one hit at each temp setting, I finish around level six, sometimes it will still dry up, but I never need to go even to level seven... In either of my TM. Anyway don't overload, don't pack, consistent grind, I have posted photos in here and other stuff I don't know if it's still there though... Anyway also as was just said focusing on the color and evenness of an extraction is really futile imo I can sense what I'm getting out of it I don't need to actually look at it but I usually do and it's pretty even for me when you dump it out.

I have left my TM in standby for hours, it doesn't seem to use much battery juice at all in that mode (in on-demand at least). Nothing to worry about – sometimes I stretch my TM sessions over ten or fifteen minutes, wouldn't enjoy a shutoff timer that much.

Hey everyone! Just recently got a Tinymight.

I pulled the trigger after seeking advice at Reddit on what to buy after having my Vapcap 2018 M + BB9 for 3 years. @Grass Yes had a decisive impact on my purchase, to which I want to thank.

My opinion regarding shipment:
Amazing. 3 days.

  • Purchased on april 27th
  • Shipped on 28th
  • Arrived on 29th
  • From Finland -> Portugal

Which battery came with the device:
A Molicel P26A. Awesome. (Have 3 total) plus an external charger (XTAR SC2)

Opinion on the device after 3 days of use (good and bad)
  • It rips
  • Pretty easy to use
  • My throat now hates me. I wished I purchased the long stem, but I recently found a better way: The BB9 adapter works on the TM stem! Still, I wished it was cooler. (Suggestions appreciated. Already know about the wooden and SS stems)
  • It rips
  • I don't like the way I have to take the stem out
  • Solid build. Also ergonomic, easy on hand
  • It rips

Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase. Still early in the learning curve, but I'll get the hang of it.
Hopefully I'll learn with you veterans. Always open to new ideas.
Cheers!

Oioioi, it does? I don't have any of these, are they able to hold a cooling unit too?

I don't like the way I have to take the stem out

I have seen some complaints about that – it's important to understand that you can adjust how hard / easy the tube enters and leaves the tube holder by carefully twisting that top ring; the tighter, the more the fat o ring underneath it will be squeezed and the tighter the fit. It's a bit of a delicate procedure and one should make sure the tube is sealed (edit: reasonably) well, but once it's set you'll hardly need to touch it again. I'm pretty sure everyone can find the perfect level of tight for their needs.

So true. Welcome to the club.

Did not even know this. Simple, smart feature.
Another point for the Tinymight!
Great share @Seibter !

You end at 6?!? I have been starting at 6 as I don't get much of anything below that. I have to work this morning but I still felt confident in trying it as I have yet to get high from this device. Like fuck! I'm REALLY hating it, it makes me want to cry/ throw it at the wall. I tried it on 4, got some terp taste, no visible vapor. Put it on 6 and got a few harsh yet wispy hits, abv is slightly tanned. It shouldn't be this much frustration trying to vape weed with my $300 device. I certainly can't convince my wife to switch from smoking with such a shitty device. I had consistent grind, didn't even pack the MF, just loosely dumped some it the stem.

It's all relative, but very possible yours is not working properly then... Sorry frustrating

I read the stem's outer diameter is 16 mm, does anyone know the stem's inner diameter to accommodate the cooling unit?
