Anvil by Vestratto

Since you mentioned a video of top copper ring I decided to make a few videos of the different heating points and their ABV, including the top ring for anyone else that is curious. In case anyone is curious about the torch that I'm using for all these it's a Blazer Firefox(link). I let the unit cool down to room temp in between each video below.
Thanks for doing this! The middle ABV looks perfect on paper.

A couple of questions:

Did you feel like any actives were left behind when heating in the middle?
When does the cooldown click come? Is it well after your draw is done, or towards the end of your draw?

Based off color and past experiences I'd say that something might be left if you where you too use to edibles but that might not be right. The cool down click does come after the end of the draw for sure. Using the magnetic stand to remove the while it's hot makes the cool down noticeably quicker.

I’d be interested in seeing some rich thick rips with nice golden/light brown ABV like the Supreme can do.

Hard to tell in the video but this is being heater in between the top copper ring and the middle.

This is the ABV using the half bowl.

The first video was the wrong video, it's now fixed as of 11/14/21 1:47est.

It's always nice to have some reference to death and destruction in a vape name. Vapes an killing, it goes like cake and ice cream. Soooo how about Bomb Bong Bowel, imagine having friends over and asking them if they wanna try the bomb bong bowel, they'd be like dude you're so f'in cool we gunna build a shrine to honor you...

Or perhaps the Ten Pin Bowel cause it'll bowel you over and strike you out.

Bad Dog

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
Helix= CAE (complete active extractor)

edit: what happens when you heat the lowest setting on the helix????

edit edit: maybe TAE (total active extractor)

So we first started out with a desktop vape to beat them all, the likes of which have not been bestowed on the world yet, multiple heaters, adjustable carb caps and just monster vapor. It had too many exposed burn points and cost would need to be in excess of 1500.00 but it was scary awesome and proved what we could do together.

This comment didn't nearly enough attention, you can't just talk about an over-engineered cost no object dream vape to a forum full of vape nerds and NOT show it off.

Curiosity and nerdgasms aside, sometime it can benefit the whole industry to have an example like that to look at, like car manufacturers and their concepts, or something like Oculus VR and their Half-Dome concept.

The tool also functions as a Magnetic stand which is included in the pre-order kit. You can also stand the entire Anvil on it, the herb chamber must be installed in the Anvil as it contains the magnet that snaps onto the magnetic stand. :peace:

I'm confused by this, how does the magnet not degrade from the heat? I can't imagine this wouldn't have come up over 3 years of development but a quick google tells me any temperatures of over 212F will permanently damage neodymium magnets

Most of us use magnet stands with our Dynavap products when they're hot, and they don't seem to degrade any noticeable amount for anyone.

A good rule of thumb is the Helix steps up the intensity a notch and digs deeper than the Terp Chamber for any equivalent amount of heat and time. @PaperClouds posted an excellent photo of the ABV shades at different heating points on the Anvil's oven. All were done with the half size Terp Chamber with ~ 0.1g https://fuckcombustion.com/threads/anvil-by-vestratto.51804/post-1608264

The Helix ABV would be darker with everything else being the same. Keep in mind the Terp Chamber (named by our testers) was given that name for a reason, your vapor tastes like it smells - terp tingles. The Helix gives up some flavor to reach down deep and grab all the actives available in any particular strain. Different vape signatures from one device just from changing chambers.

We might be able to show some photos of it. This wasn't a concept, it was over a year of hard work by many people and was fully functioning, 95% ready for retail sale. The gaining popularity of portables and falling demand for desktop vapes 3 years ago had us take technology from that and apply it to a portable - the Anvil. We might still build the monster in the future, so don't want to share too much info about it until it's IP is protected.

Great question @JEMSKU We also read those Google "facts" about neodymium magnets and the reason why neodymium magnets are used with the Anvil is because we never really noticed any magnetic degradation. Truth be told, we never used any single part for more than 2 weeks at the beginning before we made a new improved one, but later versions had years worth of heat cycles put through it.

Even still we took steps to mitigate neodymium fatigue due to long term heat exposure. If you look at the Anvil Chamber Cut-Away, you'll notice the magnet is not actually on the Anvil, it is only on the stand / case cap. The steel base of the herb chambers are as far away from the heat source as possible, has a cooling air hole and has minimal contact area with the heat zone, all thoughtfully done to avoid transferring heat to the stand's magnet to avoid any future magnetic fatigue issues. :peace:

edited to expand on magnet fatigue mitigation.

Will there be some type of metal holder that all our extra bowls can screw into for storage and discreet travel when full?

For sure. It's on our roadmap as a future product. Nothing is in stone yet, so any design ideas are welcome.

We hope to have some extra herb chambers available, but not sure which ones will be ready on time yet. :peace:

I imagine just a bar with 5 or 6 threaded holes where the bowls would screw into. I'd say a circle but I think a rounded bar would be better in the pocket.

something like this maybe
i imagine once this thing hits the marker acessories will not be a problem. People within FC and the company itself will come up with the goodies!!

Yes, that's what we had in mind too

Since the Anvil chamber threads are on the bottom, a revolver design could work, but I wouldn't want that big bulky thing in my pocket all day :2c:

Anyone else that lives in a place that gets cold and vapes outside knows it's not always as easy to achieve the same results given the surrounding air temp. I was curious as to how the Anvil would hold up in colder weather. The air temp was 38F in the video below using the half straight walled bowl . There's also a preview of part of the functionality of the case, I'm not going to show the whole thing since that isn't it's film form.

And of course the resulting ABV

This is exactly what I want this device for...portable outside carry for disc golf. Not a fan of the Paul McBeth Nova myself, but good color choice to show AVB.

Can you feel the click while holding it like the Dynavap, or is it audible only?

Any chance of single screw on caps for people with only one or two extra bowls?
Anything is possible, just we are under time pressure to launch the pre-orders so those kinds of things are all future considerations.

It feels like this preorder drop is going to be any day now. I'm kinda scared I'm going to miss it. Is there any chance the notification could be the day before? That way everyone has a better chance of seeing it
We can't promise a day, but will for sure send notifications at least 2 hours before the drop. If you miss the pre-order, we will have more soon. Remember, everything Anvil related is made right here from local raw materials, no waiting for months like imported products.

@JEMSKU Wanted to update our previous response to this question. The magnet is actually only in the stand, not in the herb chambers. :sherlock:
