I'm not sure if anyone else wants to see this but, I was testing out the Anvils heat retention tonight in a couple ways.
The first with waiting 10s to take the first hit then 10s after every subsequent hit. I was able to get vapor for about 57s.
The second way is by waiting 30s to take the initial hit then just drawing at a natural pace which ended up being 10-12s in between each breath. I was able to get vapor for about a 1:12 after the click, or about 43s of actual vaping after waiting 30s.

So no tactile signal, but an audio and visual one?

2. Vapor temps when using natively? I don't own a DynaVap so I've never looked into how people cool there's when not using water. Not a water user.
3. Flavor when not inducing a black pile of death?
I'm really trying to get a feel for how nuanced this can be, clearly we can see that it handles full steam ahead. I don't need to be hit over the head with a sledgehammer on every hit, can it handle long drawn out hits with a little subtlety? Even the video where someone was hitting it like a Dyna, it looked like they were very very short hits because the vapor was just pouring out. Id like to hit it like a long peaceful joint hit and not have to exhale after 2 seconds because I'm choking on vapor right from the outset. After a few type of those hits, then you can bang away.

I'm really hoping these will ship out before the 19th of December. I think it would be a good device to travel with given the lack of battery and it seems easy to clean all the way. Plus it seems to be top tier@PlanetHaze : For the love of god, please do a WEEKEND pre-order drop.

To answer your questions.
1. I really love the draw resistance on this thing it’s not too airy but also not too restricted. You can pack it literally however you want and it works. There is actually a way to adjust the airflow on the unit as well but I love it set too “wide open”.
2. The vapor temps solely depend on where you heat it. This thing can feel “harsh” in the same way any heavy can feel harsh, from the sheer volume of vapor that I can put it. I’ve never felt a “burny” sensation that I’ve gotten from some conduction vapes.
3. Flavor is nice at low temps, not on par with a low temp 510 vape but also not devoid of terps either. My buddy compared the the taste to a Sublimator.
Im right there with you with not always wanting to be bring down the hammer with every hit. As far as hitting it with subtlety, you can really hit this thing however you want. Small, light, low temp sips or chong it all in one hit there really is no breathing technique or wrong way to hit this thing. The post of mine above displays some of the variability you can achieve with its heat retention. There’s post I made back there that also shows the spectrum of ABV you can achieve.
Time is of the essence with the pre-order to have them ship in time to avoid the Christmas shipping crush. The pre-order will go live at the earliest time possible. The Anvil has True Airflow control, you can adjust the amount of air entering the vape, not diluting the vapor after vaporization. If you want to pack it tight, just open up the airflow all the way.
The Anvil can hold a lot of heat in a small form factor hence the heat shield. First draws start to get hot after a long draw, back 2 back hits without a cool off could be too warm for some, no different than all vapes with this type of form factor. The Anvil was developed to fully extract in one hit, it hits hard and fast. For the usage style you describe "a long peaceful joint hit", the Anvil can do it, but that's not its foray. That would be like buying a dragster to drive grandma to church on Sundays

I agree way to bulky for pocket use but a good start for a design idea.Yes, that's what we had in mind too
Since the Anvil chamber threads are on the bottom, a revolver design could work, but I wouldn't want that big bulky thing in my pocket all day
Ugh, I've wandered back into the Firewood and Tetra threads, lol.
I have no experience with these type of vapes so I'll wait to see what kind of modding people can do with these. Thanks, still interested, just not quite as much.

Has anybody ordered from these guys before? I tried to set up a online account to save time and maybe expedite an order if I am lucky to be in on it when drop is announced. The website locked me out...cant finish setting up a account...cant even log out...when I try I am sent to a website that sets up a firewall for them. I tried to call but found out they are not open on weekends? I cant talk to anyone until next week.
So looks like I may be screwed and will not be able to place a order should the drop happen this weekend.
I have been locked out of doing anything for a couple of hours now and dont expect anything to change soon.
