If and when I have to open it up, I’ll apply NYGOL 760G (Dielectric, non-conductive), same as I used on the battery cap threads.
Be mindful of applying a very small amount since it's a di-electric and it impedes current flow. It does stop oxidization so there's mixed opinions on using it for electrical connections like battery terminals for instance. Vaseline is conductive on the other hand so that may be a better choice but I'd use that sparingly as well. If the Nygol is working for you though I don't see the harm, this is more word of caution to anyone who hasn't applied it yet.

The TM is my DD and clear favorite but I'd find it harder to recommend to someone else than the Crafty+. Does that resonate with anyone else?

With the S&B vapes, you just know it's going to work for anyone. Grind, pack, draw, overly wet or overly dry herb... None of it matters. The vapor density is never too harsh or too wispy, no matter what you do. And the CS is solid.

The TM works much better for my use case and preferences, but if a new vaper asked me for advice I'd be worried I'd be letting them down to recommend it, especially as a first or only device.

Weird that.

i'm curious about this. i have never used a TM or a crafty, but VAS, you know? currently i just use dynavaps, and i'm not afraid of a learning curve, so i'm interested to know why you prefer but would not recommend (which i totally understand), as in, what makes the TM better for you personally?

FUCK CANCER TOO !
I am in Iowa. Correct about the two weeks. He replied to my original question by saying to send it in for repair. When I checked shipping rate it was over $100 one way.
WOW! You had to pay $100 USD for RT shipping for a repair prone TM unit? That kinda puts a MAJOR ding into the so-called warranty program, doesn't? That rather exhorbinent cost of shipping combined with terribly slow and almost non-responsive CS puts the TM into the $400 to $500 range it would seem...can it really be worth it? Seems like a S&B product or Firewood7 would be a much better purchase particularly in terms of more responsive CS! Good luck to you!

If you're going to quote a post maybe you should quote the entire thing or at least the entire paragraph.
He never paid return shipping.

I did not notice the attachment with a prepaid shipping label in his email so I waited a couple of weeks for his reply. From there it was 6 wks.

Question for you...I bought a replacement battery on Amazon that is not working in my TM. On the side it says:
US18650VTC6 C6
G 1521781BE07M 144
Murata INR19/66

Is it the wrong battery? When I insert, the TM buzz 4 times, lights and shuts off. Will not start.

To be fair I emailed CS at 2:55 AM today and they responded at 7:18 AM, so less than a 5 hour response time in the middle of the morning on a Sunday. That's pretty good imo.
Which medium did you use for email? TM has not returned any of my emails.

Bazinga,

Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
Had to do a little experimenting with my second tinymight, even though I said I wouldn't but I realized I couldn't give it to her not knowing what the settings are like because she needs this to be so easy it's foolproof. It's tuned exactly like my first now needing to top out at 7 1/2 so this tinymight is in need of tuning down by 3. I copied and pasted the last time they were posted ..... but they don't make perfect sense to me? Perhaps it was because it was for tuning up and the information was broken up between people, I think I know what to do and when? But I think I want it straight from the horses mouth in this case, and I think I want to ask that buy a updated tube for my first tinymight since I seem to like it better. Wish me luck navigating the waters that is tinymight cs

The main thing is that I often just want one hit. Even with the dosing caps, a Crafty session is a lot more than that. True, you can dump the cap out of the device while keeping the herb in the cap and then use it again later. But what a pain, especially considering the 45 second warm up time. The TM is ready in 5 seconds and then I can just put it down.

I also prefer the look and hand feel of the TM but this is very subjective.

I find it hard to recommend because it's a new one man company that's fairly uncommunicative. Also it's not as fool proof. For example, really short hits just don't work -- pretty much true of all 100% convection vapes. And you have to grind -- nugs won't roast well.

That being said, the TM is easy to use if you're not picky about even abv. And it's possible to use "correctly" so that every hit is good and the abv is even. It becomes natural with time.

I can't say the same for the FF2 for example. It works OK but the first hit is wispy no matter what. And you have to stir no matter what. There's no really great way to use it, at least that I've found. I've also never been happy with any conduction vapes, regardless of grind or pack -- they work acceptably but not well, no matter what.

The Crafty is the only portable I've used that works well, no matter what.

But maybe that's just me -- not everyone agrees on which vapes "can" or "always" give good results. Just my 2 cents.

If you already have a return started on the site and you've emailed him I would send him an IG PM and another email at the same. Big and flashy.

TINYMIGHT MISSING - ORDER #XXXX

Or something like that. If you haven't gotten a reply at all yet I'd go with NEED HELP BROKEN UNIT #XXXX

Maybe it's timing, I don't know. He was responsive to me when I last posted but previously was pretty quiet. I'd message him everyday with the same subject if you're still waiting. Hell, I'll message him on your behalf if you PM me your order info. I hate seeing any of the FC crew stranded.

Good news from here...
Neighbour called me, "here is a DHL Express parcel for you". Instantly began to sweat, as via Express it can't be anything else but mail from Helsinki!

Tiny cardboard-package this time, no more soft-bag. Improvement here!

And in it there is.... *drum roll* ...

My brand new Tinymight!
Also the missing water-pipe-adaptor, tons of screens and o-rings (and i mean, TONS^^), short stem with cooling-unit, additional long stem, a battery and a charging-cable.
He really sent me a whole new Tinymight, all inc., plus extras!

So first, a brief in-depth inspection of the new Masterblaster...

Priority 1, the temp-dial, as this was the problem on the last one. But this one fits nice and even, fine adjustable and easy to turn. Also clear end-points.

The veining of the wooden surface is more "uniform" this time, mostly straight grain, no spots or stripes from stratification on this one. Very beautiful, too.

All the aluminum-case-parts have the same even finish as the first one, nothing to improve here at all. The machining is of very high quality i would say.

The thread of the battery-compartment wasn't as smooth as the last one. It seems like there got some of the glas-beads in when blasting the surfaces. But nothing that couldn't be easily cleaned out with a damp cloth, a brush and a bit of patience. Screw in until halt, screw out, brush and wipe. In, out, brush and wipe. After the 4th time it goes in as smooth as the other one, just by pushing on top with the thumb, no tool needed.

So i put in some herbs and let the magic begin...^^:leaf:
And i tell you, this thing isn't just the beasty lung-smasher like many users refer to it here... I had set the TM to 3,5 as i vape at low temps normally (185°C, as i am medical-user with mental-illness and i need more of the uplifting-effects than the pain- and body-calming ones).
What a free draw... First i was frightened, if the heater can keep up with that amount of air going through. But no problem here. Instantly got to temp, producing a nice, even vapor even from that tiny amount of herb (i am an extreme-microdoser) and man, what a taste...
There have even been 2 or 3 particular tastes that were new to me, fruity and somehow juicy. Tastes, that can be smelled when sniffing into the herb-container, but the crafty wasn't able to turn them out. And the Crafty actually is a taste-winner, too, compared to many other vapes.

I am very pleased as i have been a bit insecure after all the "BAM, smashes your lungs at setting 8"-postings here, if the TM will fit my needings. But it does, and even more than that.
It is the absolutely perfect vape for me, the one i have been searching:

The AVB is very evenly coloured and dried, no hot spots or else visible. And after pulling the stem out, the tiny-setted herb-chamber is very easily cleaned (brush) and ready to go for round 2^^

Only downside is, the waterpipe-adapter "Connection-adapter with 10/14/18mm" won't fit my Aquavape 3 :\
The 14mm-joint (that i need for the Aquavape 3) goes too far in and the edge of the Aquavape touches the 18mm-part before it seals the 14mm joint tightly.

But this maybe due to regrinding of the Aquavape3-joint.
When i bought the Aquavape together with a Crafty-Adaptor, they didn't fit each other but had wobble sideways.
So i sent them back and the vendor re-ground them (i marked them before sending back^^) and then they fitted perfectly. Maybe this grinding was the bit too much, that now prevents the 10/14/18mm-thingy from sealing before hitting the edge.

Seems like i will have to buy a new water-toy now that fits the 10/14/18mm-adaptor. What a pity... :brow:
I will have a look for something with a 18mm-joint, as i like the variability of the herb-chamber via the cooling-unit and therefor i will buy the other wpa with only 18mm-joint, too. And, the 18mm is the thickest joint of the actual adaptor, so it should easily fit any 18mm-joint with enough space behind it.
Hiya , I’ve found success using a spare CU oring on the wpa 3in one to seal air leaking i slide the ring to the meeting of 14 to 18 hope this helps.

Some interesting reading, as I was researching if I should apply some kind of lube to a new SkyRC MC3000 battery charger’s “slider/holders”, to make them glide better, but I was concerned about conductivity being effected in the chargers operation and accuracy.

Small part below of the larger article, you better LOVE GREASE, if you make it to the END,

“Other articles tell people to use conductive grease on connections, such as between battery terminals and an automotive battery. Tests show this claim is completely wishful thinking, and the type of grease has virtually no impact on terminal-to-post voltage drop.

Again, we have a direct contradiction. People reporting anti-seize insulates a spark plug from the cylinder head are calling people liars who report conductive grease enhances a battery terminal connection, or vice versa. Generally, when two groups provide exactly opposite claims, at least one notion or claim is wrong. In this case, both are wrong. Neither group appears to understand resistance, current, and voltage.”

I’ll add another, for those real GREASE FANS....

Whatever happened to good ‘ol damp application of ISO and Blu-Tac for the threads? Worked for me - I’ve only done it once in 7+ months owning my TM and my battery cover threading is smooth as silk. Just saying.

And by the way, the TM is a DopeCannon(TM) every single time! :D How I long for a P80 to keep it company and I suppose I’ll have to wait a long while to get one to rival the TM (from what I’m reading). Cheers! :peace:

So last night I combusted for the first time :(

Dial was on "8", I have overpacked even slightly for my taste, I was actually showing off AVB+dab to a friend.
I used the glass WPA 10/14/18 with a screen.

The hit was the longest I could remember, I didn't feel much until I felt the smoke coming out...disgusting...

Managed to get the taste out water tools and inner parts, but there's a slight smell in the oven itself, not sure how to take it off completly, I guess I need to take the top off, which I don't really want.
Not sure if its a big deal or it will pass in time, but I took a few hits today and its all good.
Will be more careful next time, but could it be the over packing or what?

Typically the first suggested thing is to make sure you're waiting for device to get to temp before ripping it. Perhaps if you were showing it off to a friend you didn't wait for that?

Other than that I suppose if you overpacked it and it was pretty tight, it would be more likely to combust but I'm not sure how much more likely and of course I have no idea how tight it was actually packed.

For mine, 8/8.5 is typically about as high as I like to go as it starts to blacken around there. Maybe if yours is running a touch hotter, that could potentially be a combustion point especially for those long draws.

Thanks, I have been using 8 for a while but only with dab.
I don't think I started before the feedback but I do think it was more over packed than usual and If I didn't feel much I guess the air was 100% blocked, causing this... /;

I think that’s fine, but there are other internal contacts that are not as easy to access and clean, so for people who are developing issues more quickly having a way to keep them working their best longer without having to disassemble the TM to clean contacts would help.

Good article, thanks for the share! It reminds me of the myth that different parts of our tongues contain different taste buds when actually they can all be found anywhere on tongue.

I definitely take back what I said about Vaseline as I wouldn't want anyone applying a drop too much and having issues. It's too bad silicone dielectric isn't cheaper or I could use it in place of Noalox which is just nasty to work with.

It sounds like your unit just runs hot. I take long draws and although I rarely go to 10 I've never felt like I was going to combust. The black AVB ring can rear its head but that's about it for me. You could try adjusting your unit down by either contacting Tinymight for the instructions or using the ones posted a few pages back. Or if you like how hot your device can get (for dabs) just be more mindful in the future.

OMG! Nice hit of Bio Deisel first one ..... ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Gotta a question for those that have gotten back repair or a replacement and received EXTRAS ....my box was open on one end but I did receive oring kit, 18mm WPA, 3 in 1 WPA (which is more than plenty) just curious is yours was same or got something else....just wondering if someone got something from my box!

Love, love, love my TM!

I use 6.5-7 mostly.
