TinyMight / TM 2

Yeah, I would use something like linked by @RustyOldNail – I agree with @The Chemist, some additives or oils might not be absorbed fully and go bad. Wouldn't mind my TM having a bit of a minty smell, though... Besswax can be found for cheap in any hardware store by the way.

hummm ... ok you took everything apart ...:\
with the screw slightly tight you can make adjustments to the alignment and then give the final tightening force
I've already done this like 2-3 other times, the unit functions now, the plates get warm and not hot, I can use a 2nd bowl if I want. The avb is even brown for like 9/10ths of bowl except for the last lil bit touching glass.

Regardless, I don't think the TM is for me, I don't like shoving in the glass mouthpiece day in/out to load it, and not ecstatic about the battery life. I also don't like how I have to scrape the bowl to clean avb remnants prior to loading another.

The hits are good and I get the tingly terp tongue/lips/mouth.

But I will prolly give it a try for another day or so and then sell it

A snipped balloon neck makes a fine cushion for adapting to glass.

And, of course, the size of condoms I buy would work like a charm. Yes, I guess I do have too much time on my hands, why do you ask?
If you don't cut the balloon and blow some air in the intake you might have the prototype for the first portable Volcano bag system in your hands, of course you'll need a good set of lungs to fill the balloon up.

Woah. Just got sent a label to send the device back out of the blue. Hope the rest of you get a response too.

Edit: gave it one last try with a fresh battery. Nice and tasty, low temp hit. On power 10. It's a light golden still. Ahhh well, at least I've got a shipping label now!

I wonder if using Burt's Beeswax lip balm w/peppermint might work for an anti-drying-out coating for my new TM? Remember, there are no stupid questions, just weird ones.
Natural bees wax works and what I bought. I treat it gently every couple of months. It does wear off over time. I wouldn’t put anything on the wood that would be toxic. Mods are allowed to ask stupid questions if we do (admittedly I have on occasion). This thread flew today - not fair as I gotta work. Since that is over it’s TM time! :peace:

That was my new unit. Sorry to now read that you had some initial issues but glad you now have it working correctly.

I sent you a note yesterday amazed at how fast it got to you. Just today read your comments here. Wish your first experience would’ve been better.

100% this unit was not used. Didn’t want to tempt myself at all. Unit was turned on and fired in ondemand mode to feel the feedback and see the coil glow. Just a DOA check. Weird about the CU and residue. Was not used by me. Definitely didn’t tear it down internally either. Pretty much thought with it buzzing and showing heat it was good.

I was pretty impressed by the packaging, fit (Well maybe I wouldnt have been had I tested it) and finish of the TM. Wood was smooth and nice grain. Top and bottom fit nicely. Glass was super clear no edges.

Hope you give it a longer getting to know you period before you ditch it. I’ve read that you have the main working parts to be successful; heat and vibration. Draw speed, good flower, pack, and a tight seal will be the variables to master.

IT'S ALIVE!!! My Tinymight's haptic motor is working again all by itself. Not sure yet if it's this particular battery of the 3 VTC6's I have or it somehow corrected itself after a few days and going through all batteries - after disassembling it and putting it back together without doing anything in particular, which I was resigned to do soon, i.e. cleaning the pins and contacts and perhaps bending the pins up a bit. More experimentation is necessary of course.

I will say the TM rocks every single time - perhaps not so much with this Pineapple OG strain (very disappointed in it but my other flavors ALWAYS work well). :peace:

Got my mistvape capsules today.
Now I can truly say: the tinymight capsules are worth the money! Build quality is better. The caps of the tm capsules close quite good and easily, the mistvape capsules have problems because of the really snug fit cap. They're hard to close. Tinymight capsules are easier to manage.

Both have same size and dimensions but mistvape capsules screen material is a little bit finer. Obviously the extraction is quite the same on both.

I think it's mandatory to turn the capsule upside down. This way they work best for me. I removed the screen from my cooling unit and adjusted the cooling unit so there is no space left between heater screen and capsule when inserted into the tinymight.

Despite the worse handling I cannot understanding why people were complaining about the mistvape caps. They do work. Put them upside down and pack them wisely. Not too much packaging so airflow can go through the herbs.

I wasn't able to attach my pictures so i had to use imgur. If you click the pic below you will see the other pics as well!

Is the heater coil supposed to glow in the TM?
I couldn't tell recently when I was troubleshooting my balky haptic motor. The internal red light made it difficult to tell, and I tried this in a dark room too. BTW I received my stem caps and TM body plugs today and they fit perfect (the boat from China wasn't too slow, only a couple of weeks - not bad). They need a bath though as they smell. The stem caps are a bit taller than I thought which is good as it covers about half the short stem. I chose black all around over white. My buddy @VapeKnight will be thrown a few of each as I have too many extras even for me. :peace:

@sashka69 – Could you elaborate a bit more on the idea to put capsules upside down (with the lid towards the heater, right?) a bit more? How does that affect performance?

And thanks for the comparison / review!

The idea is that the airflow with lid towards heater has to go through the capsule. It's forced to because of the small space between capsule lid and mouthpiece. You can see it very clear on my last 4 pictures. There's not much chance for the hot air to use a short cut to reach the cooling unit without passing herbs. The lid is the biggest part on that capsules so it seals best on the end of the mouthpiece.

I tested it myself. With lid toward cooling unit I just get very thin clouds. Very disappointing! Had to ramp up the temperature but it didn't help much.

With the lid towards heater its quite usable. Sure you won't get as much clouds and flavor as you would get with screens only. But it's satisfying! I'm moving from a mighty (capsules only) and a grasshopper OG so I know what I want.

With a nicely packed capsule, lid towards heater, no space between cu - capsule - heater and temp 5 or higher (temp stepping) the clouds are more than enough for me. Otherwise I have to cough a lot. Sure you can start on 8 and it will milk your bowl easily, even with caps.

The inner glass in my Tinymight broke as I was inserting the stem... I was just twisting gently as I had done 100's of times before and I heard a crack, opened it up and confirmed broken glass everywhere.

Sent an email last week but never heard back. Has anyone had a successful repair recently? Are they even replying to emails anymore?

@L9lli
When I ordered my unit in January I had what I thought was a charge through PayPal appear on my credit card but when I checked back a little while later (before my device shipped) the charge was gone. I called my credit card company to see if there was an authorization or if I had dreamt the whole thing and they told me there was nothing. I would have thought I was crazy until someone else in the thread said the same thing happened to them.

Now this was when PapPal was the only payment option and there is apparently a 30 day limit before purchases are reversed if they don't ship. I don't get it honestly because I have made other vape purchases that took 6+ months to ship and there were no cancellations but it worked out in the end.

@JoeKickass
It sounds like you had the optional glass tube insert right?

Howdy!!!

The cu prolly had machining oil residue is my guess, I do think this last set of units that ordered in july sent in sept were rushed out or made weird, we shouldnt have to unscrew and reassemble brand new units just to get them to function imo. Either that or I just have horrible luck

Hi

My TinyMight stopped working after 4 or 5 months of hard use. I bought it directly from the company and I sent them an email from there website and I haven't heard anything after 4 weeks. I was giving them sometime due to Covid. I loved the vape and used it heavily but now when I go to turn it on it just vibrates for a second and then nothing. I've tried multiple different batteries. I've cleaned the contacts. I have no idea what the issue is. Has anyone else had this happen and what is the company doing about this?

David
Owned my 'Mite for a couple months and now it sometimes acts like yours beginning last week: I turn it on and it gave a quick vibration, a half second pause, a longer vibration, then 3 quick vibrations [indicating the charge level], then shut off. This happened twice consecutively before it functioned normally with a 3rd attempt to turn it on. When this happened again yesterday I then charged the batt for just a couple of minutes (even tho the batt had a 3-vibe charge already) and it then worked fine. The brief charge may have 'reset' the TM's electronics somehow. Hope the prob doesn't return.
