TinyMight / TM 2

I have a drop as well, and small dent on the metal where it landed. I do not recall how I did it so the Tinymight was probably doing it's job well :ko:. These units are very simple on the inside with little to break except the inner glass tube but it's protected by another aluminum tube.

My TM fell about 2ft on to carpet, top glass liner broke into 2 pieces. It still functions. No response from maker after a month. looking for a small hard case

Sorry to hear about all of these issues. I actually just ordered a second tiny wait a few days ago as I have really been enjoying mine a lot lately and felt that I would like to have a backup if it ever goes out. Part of my VAS is a desire to have a backup of more of the artisan vapes. I too have come to just wait patiently. However it is always discouraging tob hear thatbpeople have stopped getting responses altogether.

I also want to apologize if this is a repost as I thought I put it up earlier but I'm not seeing it now.

Has anyone ever dropped their tiny might?

I had my 1st, and hopefully last drop, today. It fell out of my pocket as I was sitting down and hit the floor. I switched the battery and repacked it. Event seems to be working fine now.

I just didn't know if there was anything to look out for, that may go wrong in the future, or if anyone else has had that experience.

It seems pretty sturdy just a circuit board and stainless steel heater but I always worry when these things fall.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

As you can see a number of people have dropped theirs with no real damage, but in addition to glass breakage it is possible to dislodge the heater (which tokenknifeguy recently reported experiencing in this thread).

I don’t think I’ve seen the ceramic pins he mentioned, but if they’re holding the heater in place that is something to check after a fall. If you’re not having any problems though, I don’t think you need to worry. :)

The bottom battery contact Shit Snacks mentioned is another thing to check though, if you ever have issues after a fall. Stu had to bend his back up after it fell. If I remember correctly it wouldn’t even come on because it wasn’t making contact with both ends of the battery anymore. At least that’s one the end user can fix without too much trouble!

I use this Ryot hard shell case, it's almost the perfect size for the TM with the short mouthpiece in. The only thing that would make it better is if it was slightly bigger so you could fit a spare battery in there but it's not a major issue.

You can't use it whilst it's in that case though! I have the RYOT with the built in slick flap and that one is far more padded and has pockets for accessories but ultimately the same problem.

A rubberized wrapper for the TM to absorb impact when being used would be great. I played around with Sugru, that's the DIY option, but I settled on rubber bands in the end.

None of that stuff on the outside of the vape will save the internals from a drop impact.

Keeping it in a padded case can....but I'm more interested in what you put around all your glass rigs to protect them from drop breakage? 🤔😇

Yeah, I meant more for transport, I am just really careful when using mine!

I have a peli case for my Tinymight as well as the Ryot but that will be for big journeys. Also have peli's for my rigs.

Just cleaned my CU's for the first time, the o rings are different sizes! I assume the larger one goes in the middle??

Also, anyone use DC Clear to clean their CU? If so, was it as good as ISO?

Cork. I forgot who but he’s posted several times his cork cover with built in stirrer which is a pin or tiny thin nail. Very clever! Minus the stirrer I’d love to make that. I did order some rubber or plastic stem caps and a stem plug for the chamber itself. Haven’t received them yet.

I did drop my TM once about 2 feet into soft dirt, stem first. Nothing broke and the stem got dirty. This was several weeks ago and I hadn’t any issues with until this week when the haptic motor gave out...

So this morning I waked and baked with the TM just before a grinding session (I tend to grind flower and several strains if I have at one time, which I currently do) as is customary for me. Hehe. I was finishing a load in on demand mode and I swear for a second on the last draw the haptic motor kicked in for a fleeting second when up to temp (close to 8). Perhaps my TM has a faint pulse? It didn’t vibrate when I turned it off however. Still waiting to hear back from The Maker (reached out now this week by email and Instagram). Let’s see how long this will take. The silver lining is that my TM is still operable just without the haptic motor. :peace:

I told you dude, it *wants* to vibrate and if it is anything like mine will eventually start again on it's own when it is ready.

Annoying though I agree.

I was #144 on my original TM. It has retired all my other vapes so I decided to order a second one just in case. Finally got some movement on it! Although now that it's marked complete it may take another few weeks to get to me.haha
Does anyone know of a one piece stem that would fit a 14mm rig, Like to use on a SP Globe and not have to use an adapter?

Hi

My TinyMight stopped working after 4 or 5 months of hard use. I bought it directly from the company and I sent them an email from there website and I haven't heard anything after 4 weeks. I was giving them sometime due to Covid. I loved the vape and used it heavily but now when I go to turn it on it just vibrates for a second and then nothing. I've tried multiple different batteries. I've cleaned the contacts. I have no idea what the issue is. Has anyone else had this happen and what is the company doing about this?

So, I used the TM exclusively last night and I like it a lot. About the size (little smaller) of my Milaana but fully regulated so no chance (unless careless) of combustion. I never got above 8 on the temp setting so far. I got a bit higher than intended so had to stop testing, but there will be much more of that as I get used to the device. No complaints so far. I set up a short RBT stem to mate it with water and that worked just fine. I used a cup screen in it that I had from some other device. I will look through my stuff for a bigger/deeper one as this one is kinda small, loading way less than .1g.

Feels great in the hand. Very pocketable. I think we are gonna get along well. I don't think it will take over completely my other devices because I have many I enjoy, but it is safe to say the TM will certainly be a big part of the rotation. I can see that it may become a primary vape for out and about.

Man I’m getting nervous people, seems like a lot more 3-5 month timeframes when problems are arising and I’m a super duper heavy user! I sure hope this baby is all it’s cracked up to be and lasts me longer than a month with my usage! 😂

@Alan had some 14mm tapered 16mm stems a while ago, you can ask him if there are any left for you to buy?

@Djsleepy

For anyone asking about the temperature dial.

There are 20 temperature steps in total the only unknown being what the starting point is. I can turn the unit on and then turn the temperature down so I'll assume 0.5 is the lowest setting for simplicity.

Each step will increase temperature by 6.316°C/11.053°F if it's linear so let's say 6.3°C/11°F and call it close enough.

Dial - Temp. °F - Temp. °C
0.5 - 250°F - 120°C
1.0 - 261°F - 126.3
1.5 - 272°F - 132.6
2.0 - 283°F - 138.9
2.5 - 294°F - 145.2
3.0 - 305°F - 151.5
3.5 - 316°F - 157.8
4.0 - 327°F - 164.1
4.5 - 338°F - 170.4
5.0 - 349°F - 176.7
5.5 - 360°F - 183.0
6.0 - 371°F - 189.3
6.5 - 382°F - 195.6
7.0 - 393°F - 201.9
7.5 - 404°F - 208.2
8.0 - 415°F - 214.5
8.5 - 426°F - 220.8
9.0 - 437°F - 227.1
9.5 - 448°F - 233.4
10.0 - 459°F - 239.7

Remember these numbers do refer to the temp of the coil, not necessarily the temp in the chamber.

I can't yet say that the TM performs significantly better than a SplinterZ with a good mod, but it is so much smaller and completely self contained and that definitely gives it an edge. And, of course, it is faster to temperature.
I am only one day into using it, so there is plenty of room to draw different conclusions as I become more familiar with it so this is still an initial impression. Just sayin...
