ok i opened it up and took it all apart and *tried* to realigned it, I can tell this unit was never disassembled - I was pushing wood thread debris everywhere, upon reassembly it combusted on 10, swapped it down to 6, had a pretty good session, but i think i still have a major leak, the unit gets extremely hot, like 2 hot for me to do a 2nd bowl back to back and was getting uncomfortable hitting it. The avb is partially brown like the bowl/airpath is only getting heated 1/2 way.

Back to loosening the screw and wedging the glass in another direction and re-tighting it and hope its better. From what I can tell this is the only thing you can do, the parts dont "lock" in anyplace and just align via compression of the 2 plates, since the screw spins in the middle of the plates its just guess and try again. Unless someone can knows of a specific way to tighten and hold the glass/seating plate, it just rides against the heater element/pcb board so there is no levelness to it.

It sounds like the same problem I have. I didn't take mine apart, but I tried loosening the screw, tapping and shaking it and re-tightening. Afterwards I was able to get a little wispy vapor after a few hits on 10 before the body becomes very hot and the stem is only slightly warm. My avb is only darker in the very center of the load.
I chalk it up to a defective heater which seems to be a common occurrence in these latest batches. I clicked the 'Return' button under my order details on TM's site and now I'm waiting for an email so I can get a shipping label. From what I understand, it's taking about two months before people get replacements. Since you bought yours used, you might be able to email them with the original guy's order number (if you know it), and your shipping address.

DHL express is really doing an outstanding job, and at $9 from Finland. That is really a wow.

So, outstanding vape, but DHL deserves a hand too.
They get you on handling fees those buggers, at least to Canada. Crazy fast shipping though which is excellent in these times.
Even the elev8r?
Seems to be a recurring theme with this vape!
I could see the preference to the Tinymight for a number of reasons like not being a burn hazard. Performance, taste, and ability to macro dose go to the Elev8r hands down imo. That's a whole different beast though and the Tinymight kills it fir portables.

@thunderstealer1337 Are you sure it was reclaim or could it have been machining oil? Not that it matters much at this point but I hope you get your unit figured out either way.

@stonedaze I wouldn't call it common, the number of users with issues is extremely low compared to the number of units in the wild (based on people's orders numbers) and there's always a chance you'll get a bad device from any manufacturer. Hopefully you get your device sorted out sooner rather than later and then you'll forget all about it after a good session.

Made a simple case out of tpu (only filament on hand was blue, I want black) I needed something to protect the metal edges while out and about. this will do until I come up with a more permanent (better) solution. This sleeve makes it a lot cooler to the hand when used in session mode, the light leak is also invisible.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane jacket should protect Tinymite from falls/shocks.
Does take a bit away from the texture and feel of the wood? Not to mention the eye appeal.

Coming from someone who have yet to have one. :myday: A jacket is a great idea, perhaps a clear one?

I just wanna share these nice caps and plugs.

After a very long a package from China finally arrived. Some very nice fitting silicone caps and plugs.

They fit very nicely.

For the one who is interested, I ordered the 15.7mm for the stem and the 16.5 for the TM as a plug.

I just received mine in black, they work perfectly thanks for the link.
Very good quality and no funky smell.

Visually speaking I agree, the change is stark. But my design options are limitless, this was just a proof of concept to validate the idea and fit (like a glove). In the end clear sounds like it would be perfect, I can design in air bladders for extra protection, make this a proper portable that can take a hit with no Ill effect. Interesting side effect, draw resistance seems a little up with this on, I'm guessing it's properly sealing the TM body, stopping air from entering at the seams between metal and wood.

Where could we find these? Are there many color options? Thanks. :peace:

In your designs you could perhaps approach it with a minimalist point of view. A mini-kini skin covering, protecting
Edges, while providing air vents.

Something similar to a protective silicon skin. With, of course, color options.

I can understand their point as I also sell and ship stuff every day. A claim would take forever and you would get nothing back...been there did that many times through the years. On the other hand, I have had the same thing happen to me as a buyer......some cool older fishing lures not made any longer.......lost one that was $25 at the hands of a Saturday delivery person...whom those sat. delivery people are the worst on your route as they work with no responsibility. Your only hope for that lost package is that the delivery person recalls were they left it....(not much chance there) or one of your neighbors gives it back to you.

I know its like $9 or $2 cost for them to send you another pack, but I would just order again from them as they have been a great seller for me since 2017!

Are you in the US? I was assuming such.

I feel ya , but I’ll be taking the risk of It happening again right? Then I’d be out twice!
Do you remember how they came ?, I’m wondering if it was just tossed in envelope.

hummm ... ok you took everything apart ...:\
with the screw slightly tight you can make adjustments to the alignment and then give the final tightening force

I wonder if using Burt's Beeswax lip balm w/peppermint might work for an anti-drying-out coating for my new TM? Remember, there are no stupid questions, just weird ones.

did not authorize this last payment not even closely I entered that website anymore since my refund

You might have misunderstood the whole process – you had an order which was not fulfilled yet, and unless you announce to cancel the order (or did you?) the deal is still valid.

I'm not an expert but I would always rely on products specifically designed for wood caring.

That way if you have chapped lips when you vape you can just rub the TM on your lips to get a coat of lip balm, genius idea!
It is bees wax so it should work but I don't know about the rest of the stuff they put in there, I saw a lot of different oils and I wonder if the stuff will last on the wood without going rancid. You might end up with a peppermint smelling TM so depending of your personal taste it could be a positive or a negative. No one will know you are vaping weed because the peppermint will hide the smell, again genius idea!
