So what happened to honoring NDA? Cats got his back up?
What NDA? A user did a search on their website and this showed up. I highly doubt he signed an NDA. Also, Dynavap wanted a hype and now they've got a hype. I'm sure they updated their website too early on purpose, waited for someone to see it and then removed the search results. It's so damn obvious.

Also that gold M is fugly as hell.
Yeah, so true. I don't like it at all.

I believe he asked about NDA because it would appear as if the person who posted those pics was VCDC. If you read the Reddit post, they are not VCDC thus an NDA would not apply here. Based on the way that he found these items, it doesn't appear that this is a marketing ploy by Dynavap. Rather, it appears to be careless coding and dumb luck.

Even if we don't like that M, we all know people are going to trip over themselves to get to it.

Nice find. Search "Apollo" on Lucid's website and you'll see the same. It appears plug-in version will be $100 plus shipping. It seems like a rechargeable version will be offered as well for $160. From the website:

The Apollo is a Dynavap induction heater engineered from the ground up by Lucid Customs specifically for use with the Dynavap. Enjoy smooth, fast and consistent hits in 5-8 seconds every time with stainless steel or titanium tips. It's simple to operate: just press the Dynavap into the chamber until you hear the heat-up click. A momentary tactile switch is built into the chamber to ensure the heater is only activated when a Dynavap is inserted. An automatic shutoff feature will only allow heating for 15 seconds at a time and dual automatically resettable fuses protect the circuit from over current situations. The Apollo features a laser engraved walnut accent and authentic Dynavap magnet on the top. Included with each Apollo heater is an instruction guide and a UL listed 100-220v switching power supply with a USA three prong grounded plug that works outside the USA with adapter or replacement IEC - C13 cable with local prongs. Designed and hand crafted in the USA with a 12 month warranty by Lucid Customs.

Any information about if the battery has been improved?

Those numbers about 4 or 5 bowls max were pretty underwhelming and not up to par imo. Even the PS Mini is about twice that if I understand correctly. I've only had my PS Mini working for one night, so haven't put that to the test.

Seems like the Flux Deluxe is still the one to beat.

From what I have been able to find the Vap Hot Box seems to have better battery life...

I am anxious to see how the DV branded device turns out and what it's specs actually are. While speculation may be correct, it is still speculation. The only thing I think we can say for sure at this point is that it was developed with Lucid.

Yes, I heard that as well. Waiting for mine to arrive. It looks like the Vap Hot Box does not have an aggressive heater (some users heat past the click) which is probably why the battery lasts longer.

Rather, it appears to be careless coding and dumb luck.
So both Lucid Customs and Dynavap update their websites at the same time accidentally ... yeah, makes total sense. Not a markerting ploy at all. Come on, you don't really believe that, do you?

Yes, I do believe that. They are updating most likely because the products will be offered later tomorrow. Lucid seems to be offering directly just like Herb Ripper still offers directly. They are editing live which isn't recommended when making changes to the website. The Apollo is only found if you searched for it in the search bar. This isn't the only time that something like this has happened. There are far more effective ways to generate hype than this.

Let me ask you this, what do you believe is honestly gained from this supposed ploy?

Yeah, it's also the hardest to get. Long waiting list. I hope it shrinks once the DV IH is officially available.
Ya, true story. That's why I ended up with a Portside Mini instead, just too long a wait for me. Maybe when my turn does come up, I'll have the itch again, but this PS Mini seems like it'll work for my use just fine.

From https://lucidcustoms.com/

How many clicks do you get off a single charge of your portable units?

I typically get 20-25 clicks off of each charge. It recharges to full power after about an hour of charging.

Is the rechargeable battery replaceable?

Technically yes. I am able to swap out the battery on any of the heaters I sell.

How long is the battery good for?

As with any other battery, they will eventually loose their power as they age. For most lithium batteries, the average lifetime is 2-3 years or 300-500 charges.

@Baron23 all good here thank you, getting busier by the day.

An hours charge indicates a Lipo cell of approximately 1000mah, most chargers for them are 1 amp for safety reasons. I'd be keen to hear some actual usage figures.

@flammy twists have been on my mind in more than one guise, keep an eye at towards the end of the year for something special.

The PS triple 18650 was 40+ bowls with my 3000mah batteries.

I hope the new Lucid has been tested thoroughly especially if it's an all new build.
We all know how tempered and mental electronics can be.

Technically you can swap out a battery on the PSMini you just need to put a bit of power into the BMS board to reboot it.
Something else I'm looking into.

Hype, publicity, sales. Many companies do this and I don't blame them. It works.

Anyway I'm just happy to finally get an induction heater. It will rock my Dynavap world so hard!

I get where you're coming from but this IH coming from Lucid was already know prior to today. The fact that an IH is finally coming out is hype enough...I'd argue that letting people know that its not an IH designed and manufactured by Dynavap is more damning than beneficial based on the reaction here.

Either way, the IH will definitely change your dynavap experience. Congrats on the pickup.

I disagree. I think most people just want an induction heater and don't care whether it's a collaboration or not. Personally I like that Dynavap works closely with the third-party vendors instead of reinventing the wheel. It's a good thing and it makes a lot of sense.

Thank you but not sure my order will be fulfilled. The payment went through and I also got the confirmation e-mail. However on the website it now says sold out.

To be fair, I understand that you disagree...LOL...probably best to agree to disagree on this one.

I imagine that you'll still get your IH given that you were charged for the order. They will be selling soon after launch anyways...they most likely changed inventory status so as to prevent additional sales prior to official launch.
