Wait a second? Credit Card complaint? Had @Fahrenheit450 asked for a refund I would happily grant one. I believe your perception of the situation is inaccurate so allow me to respond.

He reported a DOA unit. I don't know why and I don't check every vaporizer that goes out the door. RBT takes care of warranty service. I provide customer service to facilitate this (only products that are within warranty period). I was contacted on 6/6 for an update which I promptly attempted to contact RBT and have not heard back. I dont have a system to check up on it in between, I count on the customer to follow up.

I'm more than happy to provide a refund but I'm not a mind reader. Trust me when I say that I am just as unhappy as he is about this situation but I sold it to him and he could never use it so of course I'd do the right thing. No reason at all for a chargeback. Dont you feel the right thing to do would be to ask for what you want before you go calling your credit card?

VGOODIEZ, this is honestly the best possible response/reaction to this type of scenario. It just makes sense. You are a great listener — the KEY to excellent customer service! But sometimes, not all things fall into our hands, and if they did, we might choose to do things differently.

In VGoodiez defense, I waited a full month after I shipped my unit back before considering mentioning my situation on the forum again, and I hadn't asked for a refund by that point, and I didn't threaten a chargeback either. I'm dealing with (I'm assuming) a small internet company reselling these for a manufacturer. And since RBT doesn't make the Milaana 2 anymore, I'm basically stuck and completely at their mercy as to whether I will ever see a functioning Milaana 2 - that's why I've waited for this long. Sucky situation all around.

I love the FC community because of the depth of knowledge the user base shares with each other. And that's exactly why I'm here in an official vape maker's thread, sharing my experiences down to the date stamps. I hope that I am just the one unlucky SOB, and that everyone else received functioning Milaana units.

This here is the part I'm still hung up on:
..He reported a DOA unit. I don't know why and I don't check every vaporizer that goes out the door. RBT takes care of warranty service.

If the manufacturer RBT doesn't do QA checks and the distributor VGoodiez doesn't do QA checks, who does the QA checks? It sounds like nobody, and that it's down to an unlucky customer like me to find the defects. But geez - I consulted this thread first, made sure I wasn't making noob mistakes like leaving the plastic cover in place etc, and I even ordered new batteries, trying 3 total before suggesting I had a dud unit. But, without having *anybody* test the unit before it goes out the door to the customer, we are stuck taking the customer's word for it. Did RBT actually test my unit? I have no clue, because it came in a burlap sack with a glass tube, and no instructions. Compare that to NewVape, for example, who are so anal that they send an individually signed Certificate of Conformance for every. single. piece. in the order!

I emailed Scott last night and asked VGoodiez to try for another 2 weeks - if RBT doesn't respond or give a status update by that time, then I will request a refund. But regardless of how this experience turns out, I won't be buying anything from Rasta Buddha Tao in the future - I have received zero support and zero communication from them, which is the polar opposite of the legendary service and support I have received for...well, pretty much every vaporizer in my signature, which were all purchased online.

Milaana. Lana. LANA. LANAAAA! (TM2/TP80/BAK/FW9)
So it looks like RBT is auctioning off some fresh Milaana II on Instagram now, so far there is one Canary and one Sapele, which seem to be made from one piece of wood with matching grain for the bottom cap... (I believe someone asked about that very recently here?) These are some real stunners, but who knows what other customs might become available:

Canary already has a bid as of now btw. I am so tempted, but I do love my new Mi2 in Walnut with that stunning Sapele base, makes it hard to justify shelling out again for one of these... That bright Canary though! That red marble Sapele! That rich grain in both! Get you an exotic vape!

Nice pics, Shitty! I got my Mi2 from overseas a few weeks ago. It is my daily driver due to its ease of loading, and quick battery swap. I don't even grind anymore, just thumb a nugget into the bowl screen and rip it. The walnut model is really nice with regards to the grain pattern and the overall finish/fit. Best Mi yet.!

Yep, bid on one a little earlier

I hope he's able to get everything back in order to some degree; it would be a tragedy to see these go away.
Someone enlighten me is Rasta Buddha Tao, the company, up for sale? If so, where does that leave us owners of RBT product in terms of warranty support? Also unless I've misread posts, is there a beef between Vgoodiez and RBT? Seems all soap opera and not about vaping. Earlier this year I snagged an M2 and a Splinter v2.

I'm not sure exactly what's going on and don't want to speak out of turn (or get wildly off topic) but I don't think I'd worry about warranty. I don't believe he wants it to go away, he just said he doesn't like the front end and wishes someone else would buy it so he can just design vapes. He said he'd like to take some time off, but will keep this going as long as necessary.

No beef afaik, I just think he feels to be sustainable he needs more visibility through a larger distributor (aka PIU) and that doesn't seem to be an option. I have zero background knowledge there, so couldn't begin to guess where the problem is.

I hope he's able to find a happy medium, where he finds a spot that's both sustainable for RBT and for himself personally too.

Back to the topic though, OH WOW THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL! Much excite, very wow!

I only have an OG, so one of these would be a pretty solid snag

I just ordered a walnut one from overseas last night. How long did it take to come in? I have a Sticky Brick Canary and believe me, it looks so good in person. I am tempted by this auction, but I have to be strong and hold onto my money

I finally have a resolution to my almost 3 month long wait. I tried emailing the Cindi address listed on 6/21, but I have never received any emailed response from RBT at this point in time.

Out of the blue on 6/29, I received a small package in my mailbox that contained my walnut/sapele milaana II. And holy crap, it actually works now, with the same batteries I was questioning back in April. What a great little vape! This little mug will brown a bowl in 3 hits. Very fortunate too, because I literally moved to a new address 3 days prior and hadn't set up mailbox forwarding yet - i was visiting the old address to finish cleaning, and my partner happened to check the mailbox and found my package from RBT.

I received a hand written note (in pencil) apologizing for the long wait, and they threw in free Jr cooling tube with my repaired vape. I am glad it showed up when it did, because I had a reminder set to ask for a refund today, 2 weeks after my last communication with Vgoodiez. On that note, thank you to Scott from Vgoodiez for answering my emails and staying in touch throughout this seriously long RMA process.

Dude glad they got you squared away. I have a MII and a V2 Splinter I purchased earlier in 2019, both are fine. I get a little nervous when these craftsman type operations make changes to their bidness or operational changes. I wonder if my ass will be hanging in the wind in a warranty service situation. Been down this road with Venus Vaporizer and don't want to play this game again.

Always sorry to hear of vaporizer misfortune. I've had my share. But anyone with a functioning Milaana in their hands is in very good vaporizer fortune. Like Ariana says want it get it love it.

Hey guys, what batteries would recommend? I have a few Samsung 25R 18650 2500mAh 20A Batteries. Is that good enough or is anything better? I got them over at IMR.

Hey all... I come with both sad and happy news.

Cyndi will need to have surgery in the near future so she did not want to take on the RBT CS role. We wish her the best medical care and a speedy recovery and I am sure she will be vaping soon.

Exciting news is that RBT has taken on a partner that will be running the www store and CS. Please send any CS related inquiries his way at joe@rastabuddhatao.com and he will be sure to respond inside of a few days. If you need immediate assistance you can call me direct at 518-491-4812.

...and more good news is that @khelek41girl is training to be the RBT service and repair center in the US. This is a natural fit with her work to make mouthpieces and there are plans in the future for her to do some unique custom work that will complement both brands. Please follow her on IG and pick-up some of here fine artisan work soon.

Piss my pants excited that these two parts of the business are in the hands of people that are passionately engaged in this community... this is what its all about.

Look for fun and exciting things to happen real soon and so many thanks to all of you that have helped create RBT.

* last of the 2's rolling up over the next few months ... some exotic and exotic capped.

Hi,

I'm fairly new with the Mi2, so new that it's on it's way still.

I was wondering if anyone ha tried to use the VapeXhale herb baskets on the Mi2 stem:
- Do they fit?
- Do they allow you to use without a need to steer?
- Does it prevent debris fro getting into the chamber?

Very interested to now!

Thanks,
V4M

You won’t get too much debris when used vertically either. It’s odd but you don’t. And when you do, a quick blowll do.

I’ve noticed that you get debris after a few draws and the herb is already dry. Same with every vape out there in my opinion. I wouldn’t worry to much about it.
