Idk man, I feel like mine isn't drawing enough air through the heating element. I get like 1-2 taste hits, but nothing beyond that, even at the highest preset. Squeezing the corner can get better results, but even that is hit or miss and probably not good for the locking mechanism.

I'm open to the possibility that this is just user-error, but I feel like it's just not getting enough hot air.

Is it possible to see some pics? I feel something small could be making a issue as I had the exact same thing happen to me. Few excellent drags and then nothing and felt it wasn't even working.
Then I decided to totally do a full tear down and use the included cleaning tray to clean and and just build it back again.
To my surprise this actually fixed my issues and was perfect. :)

Oh also, using the highest temps, especially if yours is a pro, they are very high. I don't think they would last (depending how it's packed and amount) more than a few drags.

Could you retry on a lower setting once you taken it apart etc?

I'm assuming you have a Pro?
Does a light come on or blink on the unit if you connect from the provided wall charger?

Honestly, I also only get a taste first 2-3 hits. But even when I no longer taste something, the vaporizer will still do it's job and I still feel the effects many many hits later.

Have you tried turning it on? Do the LED's turn on?

I am not going to use mine or break it out until there are more positive reports. I already feel like sending it back. I really did not sign up to be a guinea pig...oh wait I did. Lmao!

I am sure things will work out eventually.

I was the guinea pig as I got the early unit few months back and mine works fine :)
If you just got one now, I think it's the final unit with some improved tweaks.

The firefly flummoxed many new users even though it is a fine vape once you learned to control your draw speed with the heat. I am ready to dominate the square when it gets here or maybe have it dominate me...either way.

:freak:

Are you holding the button down throughout the draw?

very disappointing :(
Yes I did.

I just watched a new vid of someone using theirs successfully, so it can work. I'm just not getting those results and I'm curious why. Haze is gonna look at it for me, hopefully it's the simple seal issue they were talking about, but I'm not too worried about it. I trust that Haze will sort it out.

So mine is finally charging. I had to turn it on/off, then do a battery check. Thrn i just said screw it and left it plugged in and about 5 min later it started blinking red so im guessing its charging.

Any of yall do a burn off or clean before use? I figured with a company like haze if it was necessary it would have been in the info sheet they provided

Guys

We got 8 calls today simply saying that their device does not work and they read issues at this forum and they are convinced that their item do not heat as they get no vapor. When we asked them about how they used the unit, they told us that they did not even hold down the power button to heat the unit. After our conversations, it is clear that most people follow the forum but never interact here and they would rather read what people speculate about than read the manual. Or maybe our manual needs to be more attractive/simpler/to the point. These are all feedback for us. Once we explained that you hold the button down and heat. You let go and stop, all of a sudden it works great now.

Out of 300 packages that we managed to check since yesterday, we identified about 24 of these seal issue ones so far. The majority of the items are good but I feel like people are in panic mode instead of reaching out to us.

Please note that we are not a giant company with 300 employees. I have 19 PM messages that I could not attend to yet and over 100 emails that everybody is either asking for their shipment details or troubleshoot issues. Everybody at the office are doing their absolute best to attend/answer/assist.

We will get to everybody but I am hoping that at least for this thread, please do not post things that are already covered on this thread or at least take time to read the previous pages as we posted several videos, some members posted review links and a lot of useful information. If you still think that you have a problem, at least get in touch with me if you have specific questions and we can assist.

All in all, it is a new unit and we know that it works good. Tested/verified by dozen of enthusiasts of this forum. If we can get all the shipments out before Wednesday, we will dedicate the whole team on answering questions, supporting those who received a unit with a seal issue, get feedback and recommendations of improvements, accessories everything.

Like the charging question some members ask. The device registers the ID and reads the current voltage on the device before it starts charging. It is a 2-3 second delay before you see the light blinking. Some members do not even have a USB-C port and they do expect fast charging through their USB ports. Fast charging happens through the wall adapter. I get questions like where is my USB-C to USB-C cable. So clearly we need to work on basics on our manual, identifying components etc but we need few days please so we can place our full attention to this feedback to assist but we are trying to get units to each members hand without further delay and we are getting close.

Please give us few more days to normalize the operations.

Thank you for your patience.

@Jambi619 did you adjust the presets? Try bumping the temp up a bit. I felt mine had to be bumped up to get that desired effect. I am experiencing similar issues to what others have shared here...lots of material loaded, yet not many satisfying draws but there's more work to put in. I'm still in the tune-in phase and haven't dialed in yet. I feel confident I can get there. This device is really neat and I do like the taste I've gotten out of it when everything aligns.

I did have a combustion event this morning possibly due to too tight of a packing or possibly using the SS pad on top of my load. Not sure what contributed to it, but it was off my first draw on one setting right under factory preset red, one to two seconds after it went green/ready. I went this high on settings since I felt the lower settings weren't delivering the oomph I need, boy was I wrong...hehe

Those that enjoy the simplicity of just cleaning a stem will probably not be the right fit for this one, IMO. It does take some work and time to deep clean it, if you're meticulous about smell and taste. I had to do my first deep clean today without the cleaning tray when I burnt my load this morning. It's doable but I do see how it can be an obstacle for some without that tray.

Keep the feedback coming. It should only improve things, if we all help one another get acquainted. So far, experience with the company has been superb. I'm looking out for a nice case now, that Haze leather case is looking tempting right now. Anyone else care to share what they are using as a case for this thing?

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

You're going to have to make a manual that breaks it down Barney style, somehow. I thought the manual has everything needed

I feel for you guys. I know you are working hard and like a lot of vaporizers some of this boils down to user error/lack of understanding. It also sounds like there are some manufacturing defects (or perhaps assembly issues). This is unfortunate especially since it takes time to get down the the root of the problem and you are dedicating so much time to try to get orders/accessories in/out to customers.

I was an original Haze Dual V1 owner. This was a new endevor for Haze. The first version had some issues. Just like many other vapes I have owned over the years. Haze took my feedback and others and made it better. It didn't cost me a penny and they earned my loyalty through how they handled everything.

I have been an early adopter and beta tester for many other prodcuts too. This experience has tought me to have a different mindset going into it. I EXPECT to have some level of issues. If you don't it's just a bonus. This is also a reason some people stay away from new units and let the manufacturer work out the bugs. That is a solid strategy if you are the impatient type.

What I do know from my history with Haze is they WILL WORK OUT THE ISSUES. Let me remind you who some of the beta testers were. Do you all respect @Stu and @stickstones opinion? These guys are legends in the game. The three of us and many more very knowledgaeble people spent a lot of time with the beta units. We didn't talk to eachother and compare notes to avoid group think. You all would be shocked how far it has came along. Look at the date this thread was started and it was in the works long before that. Haze went back and reworked this many times to try to get it right. This demonstrates dedication to their customers. In the end I know they are not far off considering I would have been more than satisfied with my beta unit. So as much as I understand the frustration please try to be patient. Haze is working hard to get it right. Yes it might take some time. Some of you may not have the patience to wait around but I promise if you stick it out Haze will make this right for everyone.

So I managed to mess with the app. Tried restarting it and re-plugging my Square back in. It was able to change to my custom settings since the colors on the led changed.

I'm pretty sure mine is working, as I am baked. But, for whatever reason, it's not producing any vapor whatsoever, even at 430f.

Ha well at least we are half way there!

Edit: Some of you may have wondered why I have not chimed in on my production unit. I did pick it up but I have not had a lot of time to mess with it. Life is busy right now and on top of that my timing sucks. Unfortunately I am on a T break to get my system clean. Normally I would use other means to get around these annoyances but this is for an insurance exam where they will be running all kinds of tests. My wife has been on me for a while to get this done. I have been putting it off and I could not do it any longer. All you married guys out there know that a happy wife is a happy life so I am doing the right thing and putting my family first. I'll give you my thoughts in just under 30 days. :D

Mine is done charging. Used the wall outlet for fast charging as recommended by haze, not sure why but it takes a full minute on mine before it starts blinking red, showing it charging. Took about 45 min until it turned green.

How many of you just vaped right out of the box without cleaning? I figured theres not much you can do for a burn off? Is a cleaning recommended @Haze Vaporizers before use?

I often don’t clean my vapes before first use, but this one needs it. I tried to use without cleaning and immediately noticed the machinery taste. After a full cleaning the foul taste completely went away.

As someone who is expecting a square soon, to get that taste away how much did you disassemble / spot clean or soak? Thank you for any insight

No disassembly is necessary. Everything is metal and you can clean with alcohol swabs on the surfaces. If you want to disassemble it still, it takes few minutes to take it all apart. You can clean with ISO and let it dry. Please see the video on this thread we posted but as i mentioned, the swab should be more than sufficient.

It was a couple of months ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy.
I definitely cleaned all the pieces (take a few pics with your phone to make it easier to put back together the first time)
I am pretty sure I just put all the pieces, including the silicone, into a bowl of hot soapy water for a couple of minutes, rinsed off and towel dried. It made a huge difference.

Edit: mine was an earlier version, so it may be better now. If Haze is only recommending spot cleaning, I am sure that will be enough.

Ok, I can report that this thing is legit. Just got a very satisfying draw and huge cloud for the cloud lovers. I'm getting the hang of it now. I'm outside in about 45-50 degree weather. I had to get it up to my highest setting which is red and set at 460F. I could tell I was pushing it. I'll be bringing the temp down some more but will be making more adjustments to my current temp preset settings so that I can achieve this consistently.

I'm only using one bowl at the moment. Smells are contained quite well even when vaped. Just as good as one of the other popular minimal smelling competing device. I'm impressed. I liked this one since it arrived yesterday and now I'm convinced I made a good decision to get this. This one will be put to use. This is my first Haze product to date. Thanks team @Haze Vaporizers !

Normally these vapes are second nature to me. Owned about 20 different vapes and learn them very quick (achieved clouds on a mflb by the second load). This vape is really difficult to figure out.

My first bowl started off at the coolest setting on blue, ive got a pro but havent messed with temp settings. 1st-4th drag had taste with no vapor production so i went ahead and tried the trick i read posted here, which was to squeeze it a little to give it a proper seal. Held down button and the light turned green, 2 seconds into the drag and instant combustion.

Second load was run with the coolest to hottest settings and i wasent able to get even a wisp of vapor, just some taste. I didnt apply any extra pressure this time because i didnt want to combust.

Both loads were dry high quality material. The first load was a 2/3rds semi packed but not too tight bare in the container, combustion from squeezing. With the second load i tried a 2/3rds pack which was pressed down a little tighter at first, then tried the silicone lid, then a liquid pad on top, then a loose pack, and finally a tight pack. I also tried multiple draw types and speed. Nothing i did made a difference and resulted in no vapor with little taste.

Im going to experiment more tomorrow but is anyone getting similar results? Really not sure what to think. Im selecting my temp after turning on and then holding the button until it vibrates and turns green..

I think from having the Ghost experience that some of you are getting air leaks. In the last page or so there was a post in which mentioned someone was having difficulty drawing vapor. & after being taken apart (do thoroughly clean when apart) & put back together it worked fine. My guess is when it was being assembled some piece (maybe the silicone tray? inside was mis-seated. Do want @Jill NYC said, take pics as you go along so you have reference to reassemble. Worth a shot & a thorough cleaning to-boot.

The verbiage in question:

To heat oven to a desired temperature press and hold start button. A blinking start button indicates that the Haze Square is actively heating chamber to temperature. The start button will turn green and the Square will vibrate once it is ready for use. Green means go and it's time to draw!

To be fair, this does not indicate that you actually need to hold the button while you draw. And since this is an atypical requirement for dry herb vapes, it should be made a bit clearer IMHO.

I definitely stumbled there for the first 2 or 3 minutes before trying to hold the button out and figuring it out.

If this is me you are referring to - my device does work better after I tore it down and reassembled it, but it still does not work fine by any stretch... This device will be on the sidelines until the seal issue is sorted.
