Had my unit since yesterday, and it's working great! But I did notice something when I accidentally opened the chamber upside down and made a real mess. I didn't do a good cleanup job and it affected performance - probably because it wasn't sealing properly. I used the little brush and cleaned off all the excess weed, put it back together, and problem solved! I am guessing that the loader (which I am waiting on) will make sure this doesn't happen.

I had this issue until, I understood what was happening.
My third question, I experienced some bits of debris coming from mouthpiece. Why?

I have the Square Pro, just got it yesterday.

I'm rather dismayed at the battery life. I can get one bowl out of it, then it needs to be recharged. And recharging takes a while, even with the huge wall wart that comes with the Pro.

This makes the unit pretty silly. What's the point of 4 bowls if the battery can't keep up?

The unit also becomes quite warm to hold by the end of a bowl, and takes a very long time to cool.

It's also rather heavy and awkward in the hand, and the button is hard to hold down (and you have to hold it for quite a while as the thing heats up).

I'm wondering if I can trade this thing back in, exchange it for a Dual V3, because this thing ain't doing it for me.

For anybody with the Pro version, I would recommend to use the charger they supply. I had it charging with my usb c charger, which does up to 18 watts. About 2 hours later and the color didn't change. Hooked up a meter and seems to be limited to 4.7 watts with the Square. Their charger isn't labeled, but I'm getting an average 21 watts on orange (under 35%). Roughly 17 watts on green. It went from orange to green with their charger in about 5 minutes.

Hey guys. If there is anyone else suffering from no vapor and huge gaps in the pieces do me a favor. Get an allen wrench and tighten those screws up a little! My main lock screw was loose and one of the screws by the coil was loose as well. This was causing unit to feel super janky and had massive gaps. After tightening these screws everything sits completely flush, feels solid, and airflow seems much better. I cant test it for another hour but just thought id check with others to see if that was their problem as well or if anyone tried this?

You can certainly charge the unit anyway you want. Top on/off, pods filled/empty. No issue there .

Combustion could be a bit of a different issue. A tight pack could be a contributor but man it would have to be REALLY tight and running at a high temp for an extended period. I assume you are getting combustion if you are asking the question so can you describe your circumstances?

As for herb coming through the MP? That's another mystery honestly. Never had it happen (at least that I noticed). The only thing I can think is maybe some bits dropped in the airpath when you were changing things out??

Before I shipped it in, I took a few size comparison pics of the Haze next to an old Gameboy SP. It's smaller than I thought it was going to be, which is a good thing IMO. It is heavy, tho.

I agree it feels weird, but in my limited use I found that holding it button-side up and using my index/middle finger to work the button felt alright. Let's you see the green light.

That points to a not fully seated stainless steel (SS) vapor path. Look closely, is the SS Screen fully flush against the gasket?
If it is not fully seated against the gasket, it can leave a gap for bud to get around the SS screen and into the vapor path.
That seating of the SS parts is very sensitive.
And if the vapor path SS parts are not fully in place, this also causes way weak vapor----diluted with non-cannabis air

That’s my concern as well. Really contemplating upgrading my V3. Its served me well for 2 years and I really enjoy the vape. Always gets me nice and stoned. Don’t want to trade it in and then not lol the square or have it meet my needs.

That's a step too far for many companies. Not everyone should be an early adopter. Perhaps you can wait for more hands on user reports, to get a better feel about what to expect? I hear that @ohmygodimsohigh has comparison videos coming.

Except my v3 is broken, so I need to upgrade sooner than later. Some of my batteries no longer function as well, so it ends up costing almost as much for a Square Pro as it would to swap the broken v3 for a new one via their trade-in program (when it starts running again). I've owned a v2, v2.5, and 2x v3, so I'm definitely interested in staying with a Haze, the Square seems a lot more elegant though.

As my previous posts have said, I want to make sure it can get a full 4 bowls (the minimum I could get by with without swappable batteries). Being able to charge while in use would also be nice, but that's still predicated on getting a decent number of sessions per charge.

As my previous posts have said, I want to make sure it can get a full 4 bowls (the minimum I could get by with without swappable batteries). Being able to charge while in use would also be nice, but that's still predicated on getting a decent number of sessions per charge.

PRO is pass through with wall charger and with 5ft long cable. You can vape while charging.

chances of getting all 4 bowls COMPLETELY vaped is not very realistic IMO. I like to start at 360 and end around 430 on every load I do. That means around 4-5 draws on each temp setting = 20-25 long draws. Usually after just one bowl my battery will be yellow or orange. So far Ive been able to get through 2 bowls before it turns red (about to die).

I will say though that so far efficiency with the unit is whats really killing me. This reminds me of the first time I purchased a pax, I loved the idea of it but once I realized how much I had to load for each session I ended up shelving it. I normally get ripped with around a .1 or less load in my solo 2 (have 2 screens in the bowl so I can only load around half the size or less). With this thing though Im having to load .2 - .25 of material just so I can get decent extraction and clouds and I get less of an effect than I do with .1 in my solo.

So far for micro loads Ive tried using the silicon topper, the provided oil screens, and also organic cotton. None of them worked at all and caused me to have either no vapor or very wispy hits. the silicon topper is horrible for herb and normally causes combustion. I think its due to the fact that it only has one small airhole in the center of the cap. This leads to a completely black and burnt core but with the outside still being bright green. With the oil screen and organic cotton i was just getting instant combustion.

Please keep in mind that I did have a unit that was producing no vapor at first but after a few tweaks I was able to get the pieces to fully "seat" and fit flush. My unit may or may not be "up to specifications". Im not here to bash haze or the unit itself, just show my experience with it. I trust haze as a company and they have been nothing but awesome during this experience and feel they will take care of these issues. My main concern is that, even if the unit gets fixed and running 100% will I still like it? Are these efficiency issues a problem anyone else is experiencing? Any other micro dosing options?

Don’t have one. So I can’t speak. But this thing is a on demand convection. So you can pack your full chamber at a .2 but only take 1-2 draws. You do not need to finish the bowl. If you are looking to micro dose what it stopping you from packing a full
Bowl and just using it on two sessions?

Once ive started a load with a vaporizer I typically like to finish it. I dont particularly enjoy the taste of coming back to an already vaped load (even if it was only hit with a lower temp) and it seems like its much harder to achieve clouds this way. On top of that, this idea will murder your battery life with the square.

Ill explain that by comparing to the grasshopper. With that unit I was able to quickly take one rip and be done, there is no real need to preheat or get the unit "warmed up", at least in my experience. With the square in order to get decent rips and "get the unit going" it needs at least 2-3 long draws to really start producing any vapor. Its almost like a semi convection/manual conduction type thing going on. IMO this is not a unit that I can just pickup and rip once or twice and put back down within a minute like my grasshopper. I would personally almost classify this as a session type vape.

Again keep in mind that my unit was not working correctly from the get go so I may be the only one experiencing these issues? Any other users care to comment? Im really curious if anyone with a 100% working unit feels the same way? Ive been thinking about sending mine in but I HATE sending out anything that has been used in this manor, even if i can get it 100% clean so Ive asked haze to send me their original "oring fix" so I can try that out.
