@Haze Vaporizers - you have mentioned a couple of times that this is not a closed air path and that the term "air leak" is therefore not applicable.

Can you explain this a bit more as its not making sense to me and it appears some users are experiencing what appears to be a lot of bypass air and hence not great vapor.

The reason that I say that its not making sense to me yet is that clearly no matter the design of the vape, you need to have the path from load to MP closed to some extent...otherwise you are not gong to be drawing air from over the load.

I do know that some vapes include some bypass air purposefully in their design to help cool the vapor (the MV-1 comes to mind) but still, if there is an open air path to the MP that is more open (less drag and resistance) than the air path from the oven to the MP, then I can't see how this wouldn't be an issue and result in very diluted vapor..or no vapor.

@Baron23 , my response was to the user who said that he covers the air intake with his finger and expects 0% draw. Our vapes do not work like that. Neither V3 nor Square operates in that fashion. I am not sure if there is any vape out there where you close the air intake with a finger and you get nothing from the mouthpiece. You will significantly restrict the draw but will never be 100%.

That was my comment as “Sealed” air flow. So people do not misunderstand or have wrong expectations on that end.

On the other hand, there is a problem with some of the units. Some of the silicone seals do not look like they were installed properly with the correct height. It is flush with the housing which is causing the issue some people reported.

These issues are so difficult to catch at these first runs but once they are, luckily these are easy fixes.

We are going through units at the moment before they are shipped out and looking for this issue. I will explain more later.

I also want to thank @Wildcat for his help with testing the fix with his unit. He reported the similar problem and looks like once it is applied, there were no issues. We will further verify this today and keep on going with shipments.

The users who experience “no vapor” issue, we will guide them through the fix as it does not really require the unit to be shipped back. More to come...

New product problems. As we all know Haze isn't the only manufacturer to go through this. Thankfully they are one of the best in addressing the issues head on and are keeping everyone informed on where they are at. In my opinion that's all anyone can ask......kudos @Haze Vaporizers !

Ah, thank you. I misunderstood.

Couple that with some reports of very airy hits with little vapor, that it helps if they pushed the enclosure parts tighter, and I thought it was all related.

I see where you found a small issue with some units that explains this and I applaud your transparency and commitment to your customers.

Yes, I believe I saw a post from perhaps @MinnBobber where he (or maybe someone else) properly re-seated their seal and it resolved their issues. In the grand scope of possible manufacturing defects, its great news that this is a simple installation fix that can be done by the owners.

Yeah all accessories were stuck in Customs in Alaska and were released on Friday. Delivery to us shows Wednesday. We shipped what we had and rest will ship seperately starting Wednesday.

@Zondo, it's no big deal for you but you sent your square back to haze for that anyway? Or was there another problem? I' m agree it's no big deal but I would like to have a perfectly functioning unit at least when it's brand new. Also with my unit it happens systematically after a few minutes off.

No, I had other stuff. But I'm sure this can be fixed with a software update. I doubt it's a hardware issue.

The base end of the mouthpiece stem has a little notch. That end needs to be inserted first when storing.

Don't feel dumb. It's a design quirk that will most certainly result in lost mouthpieces for all.

Ok, have my usb-c plugged into my square. It's been blinking red, charging for about 2-3 hrs now, hasn't turned green yet. Am I doing something wrong? It's supposed to be a quick charge of less than 30min with that configuration right?

I must be in a haze. Its the opposite, 30 min with the included charger.

I have had this issue as well. Very frustrating.
My device started working considerably better after I took apart the entire tray and put it all back together.
All 14 pieces.

Ive been using my pro all day at a family event. Worked like a champ and didnt even get thru my second bowl! Things I found to help this piece perform at its best are packing your dry bud as much as you can and packing it tight and also when the button goes green wait a second before ripping but when you do don't be scared to pull hard. At first i tried pulling as hard as i would with my haze v3 but I was only getting small wisps. Now Im getting huge clouds that get me coughing which is rare for a portable for me.

My best advice, do not attempt to do a deep clean without the tray. You will likely be unable to get the SS pieces seated properly without the tray.
The inside of those SS pieces are the last to need cleaning/ need cleaning the least, but you are doomed without the tray

So what you're saying is, using the charger they supplied, it takes 2-3 hours?

Not the charger, the usb-c cord hooked directly from square to my pc. Took about that long and never went to green.

With the supplied haze charger, it sped up the charging process. I'm getting acquainted with it right now. I'll definitely be playing with the app to dial in my temps. Its fun playing with the settings changing the LED for each temp setting. I like it!

Good point, I attempted to play around with removing and cleaning it but decided not to. I'm gonna wait on the right hardware to arrive before messing around with any deep cleans.

Hey guys what Size silicone tubing do you think would fit the mouthpiece? I would love to use a whip with my 18.8mm bubbler while I wait for an offical WPA. I Would need the right diameter of the whip for the mouthpiece of the square.

Hey guys what Size silicone tubing do you think would fit the mouthpiece?

From my experience with tubing you will also need to have an adaptor to connect the tubing at the haze mouth piece or to connect the the tubing to the glass joint or both. @Ratchett has a universal adaptor that should simplify the process and save you from that flavor robbing tubing.

It is such an impressively well thought out design, it really does feel like a next gen improved Elevape meets advanced Firefly as I had hoped.

That sounds like a wet dream!! It has the same quality flavor as those? Hope it's easier to clean than the Elevape, it was a real PITA
