Honestly, I don’t think the insides of the cases were anodized very well... So I’m sure the insides weren’t cleaned very well either... So I’m not too surprised by that. And that’s also why its always a good practice to wash things when you receive them. Lol

When will you be producing Silo’s that are in fact anodized well?

It’s not really bad, it’s that theres not a great way for the anodizing process to get a nice complete coat on the inside of the tubes.

Basically, they put a bunch of them on a cradle like device, and then Dunk them into different liquid baths really quickly. Because they are long skinny tubes that are upside down, you end up with some air that gets trapped... which obviously, makes the inner coat anodized in some spots. And not anodized in others.



Once the current supply we have runs out, and if the demand is still strong, wed make more.

Ok, then I would suggest 2 possible choices that work very well.

1. bigger one. Go with the industry standard D020-D
(this is in my top 2 fav's. They just are a great size and perform so good).

2. small. This mini has good perc action
(notice the perk on this little guy..there are lots of small ones on dhgate that look like this or variants of this one. Some have a more shower head looking perc....but those ones do not work as well as this one. This one only has 4 little exit holes off the end of the down tube...and that works well for good action and smooth draws).

I have a few however this FC UFO has been the best one so far?
D020 I have and use it for my SOLO.

what do you do with your SS Tip from the M if you have an Ti Tip aswell ?

luxuary problem, I know.

Do you still use the SS?
I know it heats up slower but holds the heat a little longer.
What do you use it for?
are there circumstances where the SS is superior to the Ti Tip ?
I feel it has quite a closed, slowed airflow compared to the ti tip.

Hi @Mr.Sifter You also mentioned having a Vong and the M. Thought I'd add that to the conversation. If that's cool.

I like both the SS and the Ti. If I had a Vong and an M like you do, My choice would be the Vong for home and water. The M for away from home. To me, it's about getting the most of each vape or with VCs, it is each part.
I'm into the modularity too. So I switch out the tips with the same body as a thing.

Another point. @Stu's heat sensor test confirms and some users have noted before that they heat up and cool down differently. One isn't necessarily superior. Just functions differently. That's my distinction.

The SS heat's up slower and keeps it's heat longer. So I use the standard M for say winter weather for back to back click sessions. Ti heats up and cools quicker. so that is good for other types of sessions.

If you are content with just having one VC and one tip for it, and that works for you. that's cool. As for me. My last Dynavap purchase was all about extra tips and caps.

So you find the SS airflow a bit more closed compared to the Ti? Interesting thing to point out. But not necessarily a bad thing. I prefer carbless, so a restrictive pathway might mean the heat drags over the pathway slower. Which means I can iron lung it and not worry as much of it petering out. Which was a problem I did have as a newbie. BTW. So LSS, I specialize all the parts instead of saying one better. New and old. They all have a function at some point.

The inside volume in my Omni feels a lot less restrictive even though the inside volume is perhaps smaller (and adjustable). It is more recessed in the body part near the tip. (Think of the machine work involved for that. )
Less drag and the body seems to clicks hard sometimes. I like it when you can detect the click by feel alone. Cause you can't always hear the click.
Even though you might develop a sense of time when it might click. Amiright?

I can see a second version appealing to someone. But I think about it getting gummed over time. The print did combine a few ideas that I've seen before. Would say a wooden version need less bulk to do the same thing?

A loading system that can be used outdoors under windy conditions. I like. Anything in that direction I'm looking on the horizon.

Do like that George is putting it out there. And encouraging others to share ideas to the VC pool.

Say can anybody rec'd any winterfreindly/freezeproof lighters?

Ice fishing is a lot harder with torches...... let me know if anything works!

To address the windproof/freezeproof usage, our pal @stark1 uses a ceramic donut in a Tesla mod for heating his VC......at least that is what it appears that he is using......
