Just got my new Koa LB got from Julie @ MF, oh she fixed me up, I really dig the darker wood than the normal Maple, I think the koa gives it depth and richness, IMO its a way better specie than the rest they offer, the walnut maybe close. Had to accessorize it with my own Eds Koa LB Stem. Its a beauty and thanks again for all you all do at MF to bring joy to us all!

I cant say as I do notice a diff. with its performance, seems to be very similar to the maple/birch, I really dont see how the vapor could be affected by the specie of wood from within box itself, IMO the vapor can be subtly affected by the stem you're drawing through, be it the acrylic, glass, or wood. I feel that the wood does the most for a combination of cooling and also crisping the vapor I pull through it. I dig the the natural feel from an all wood vapor pathway, seems richer and more smooth and mellow, very enjoyable.

Does anyone else run their rig like I? Whats your thoughts?

Do you have a wood stem Pakalolo?

I hit the box native, else I would have owned one of your koa stems long ago. They're gorgeous and I considered getting one just for display.

My koa box has the newer airpath, i.e. the broader shallower channel. When I first got it I felt it was a bit smoother and it definitely tasted different from my birch model. I figured that was due to the airpath but I was never 100% sure. I have a deep affection for koa so I was clinging to the hope that it was the wood.

How do you clean the wooden stems?

a little dash of iso on the end of a cotton swab. I let that sit for a 24 evap and hit it up with the hair dryer. I vape accordingly normally in a log vape; you don't want the cotton to get too hot.

With my original stem broken and me waiting for the walnut, I decided to improvise and the new VG mouthpiece work well with the boxes stem hole, you will have to trim the mouthpiece but it has a nice feel and is a good backup "stem".

I dip a normal dills pipe cleaner in rum or another regular proof liqour. I squeeze off the excess moisture, and then I insert and pull through a few times... and then I let dry naturally to "seal itself".

I've always used the glass stem but some of those look pretty darn nice!

I rotate as the mood strikes generally speaking... BUT...
I use Glass to taste 1st taste of a new strain....
I use acrylic when on the road driving or being driven (to avoid that "clink" against my teeth)
I use wood at home, and wood shorties for stealth.
I love "being seen" with my ebony... and my bloodwood makes my feel very "dashing"!
I like this special soft and warm flavor that I get with the walnut.
Some wooden stems do cause a slightly crisper.. or more muted flavor.
The Zebrawood, somehow always reminds me of a sort of "spicy essence", that I can not quite put my finger on.. but it is very nice!

2. If the box is in your pocket with herb in the trench, I have to make sure the draw hole is pointing down towards the floor. If it's the other way around, LOTS of herb get's stuck in the air intake groove. Quite annoying.

Aside from that, no problems

The above link is the manufacturer of the current MFLB charger. Magic Flight private labels them.
Funny that Vanson calls it a one hour charger. I guess it is if you are charging a single AAA or a low mAh AA.

Gotta question or more like favor. Can you all post some picks of your MMJ trench fully vaped. I do not really know when the trench is totally gone. I usually grind pretty fine and fill trench to the top where screen turns flat. Another thing, seems like when i hit new trench with fully charged battery the herb turns kinda blackish in color. Am i hitting to fast to slow? I read and watched vids,of members here on FC, but never seen what a fully vaporized trench looks like. Wanna see if mine resembles any others. Thx

VITOLO think you can tell me where i can pick up one of those beautiful stems. My MFLB is not as pretty as yours, mine is just the basic light maple color LB.

If you go out and about, put bigger pieces in the trench. Keeps it out of the air intake, and you can always crumble it down further as you go.

Do you know how an expecting mother will buy the clothes and toys etc.. for the baby, before it's born? Well that's me with the MFLB.

Is there some sort of small sleeve or box that I can fit the MFLB into and carry it around? Hopefully the same size so it's a snug fit (or does that clip in back mess it up)? My intention is that it looks like I have a pack of playing cards (or whatever the case looks like) instead of the MFLB, and I can whip it out without someone (cops?) saying "WHAT IS THAT?". Also hopefully it conceals the fact that it will probably be loaded

Ideas? Or is it already available somewhere? Thank you!

I use a sunglasses case that has wrap around zipper and that works pretty good. Found the case at wally world (walmart) for like 2 or 3 bucks.

No problem, really. When you take your box out to use, give it a mighty pull before you settle the trench and get to business. All the fine stuff that got away gets sucked back into the neat little cyclone. Kinda fun, really.
