Stop while you are ahead puffers. I did that and now my order is in. Just accessories and enough money for free shipping. I put all on my wish list and finally sent them an email with my order around a week ago. I won't get it till maybe end of Jan or Feb though cause of the glass rush issue they have xmas time. I need my glass stems for the solo so I will just wait but instead of waiting for stock I just mailed my order.

Did you google or check the coupon code section here. I don't recall ssv giving us one but that doesn't mean you can't get one if you ask. Other companies do give us a ssv discount.

I called 7th Floor directly prior to purchasing the SSV - at the time, was told there was no FC or other applicable discount codes. Now that was a while back, so things may have changed.

I have noticed they have sales every once in a while. If you are willing to watch/wait, that may be an option. :2c:

I'm telling you, call them and ask about discounted models and ask for them to describe the blemish on it over the phone to you. I got a discounted model for 90 bucks off retail... screw the discount code, get a discounted model and save some real money.

I'm thinking of buying a SSV off of Craigslist and was wondering is there any issues I need to look for before purchasing it?

I would say check to make sure the knob and heater cover are secure and don't have any free play. My knob on mine has gotten pretty loose:uhoh:... I guess make sure the heater element isn't obviously crooked. These are the only things I can think to look for..

Did tons of research on this site and finally got an Green SSV a couple months back. Really like it and particularly I like the natural process of smoking that comes with a whip style vape like this. Makes it really easy to share with random strangers.

So I'm not sure if anyone else has tried this, but thought I would share. Long story short, I ordered the wrong size replacement bowl for one of my bongs. Refusing to just toss it into a drawer, unused, I set out to brainstorm...and what I ended up with, was a nice little oil bowl for my SSV!

It is really simple: Take a glass bowl (mine was 18mm) and insert it into one end of the whip. Plug the bowls hole with something heat safe and absorbent. I used a small piece of the Volcano liquid pad. Dab a small bit of oil onto this pad, and then put the bowl to the SSV. You will get a nice fat rip :D

I will mention that I have the spherical ground glass, so my rounded bowl mates perfectly. This should work with the standard wand as well...experiment!

I got mine off craigslist and it works fine, i think its more who you buy it from. There's not much that can go wrong as long as the power cord is intact and the knobs not to loose. I got mine really cheap due to misuse he thought it wasnt working...*Basically he would push the herbs into the ceramic heating element and smoke it then inhale the combustion smoke:(*

So I changed the tubing on my surfer the other night. Really brought the flavors back a lot, I forgot how good the surfer could taste. Really makes me think more about an LSV :D

Been reeeeeally dead in here the last 2 weeks, I hope everyone is enjoying their surfers in the New Year

I got mine for $130 from a guy on Ebay. He said it had only been used once and sat in a closet for a year, but it obviously had been used more. Also, afterwards he told me would send me the hands-free bracket for another $5. So I sent him the $5 plus shipping and never got anything. I thought that was kinda not cool. Otherwise I love my SSV. Since then I bought the Sperical Ground Glass wand and heater cover and I love it, as do my housemates. The SSV sits in the living room all day next to the nug jar & a coffee grinder. We leave it on 24/7. Usually it sits idle at 12 o'clock and I fire it up to 15 (3 pm) for a nice fat hit. Sometimes even max it out at 16 or 17 (4-5 pm). It's a nice heavy duty vape that stands up to a lot of use, even by some clumsy people.

I have tried using the little hands-free clip that they sell for the spherical ground glass connection. Unless there is some trick I haven't figured out, it's more of a pain than it's worth. First of all, it's hard to put it on the heater cover at all, let alone when the thing is hot. And it feels like I'm going to break the heater cover when I try to put it on. I just gave up on the thing. If anyone has figured out a simple method for using that clip, please post a video.

Hey got a quick question. I have 3 SSVs and I adore them. But I am ready for a different look and want to change out the base plate. How do you remove the base plate?

For me i just bend the clip back and slide in the wand into the HC, the glass is thick enough to take it and the clip is meant to bend. To make it more clear i leave the clip on my heater cover 24/7. Really never leaves it just slide in the wand into it. Its supposed to be a hard clip, so some force is necessary.

I don't suppose anyone wants to share shipping costs from 7th Floor to the Lower Mainland Canada? I have a small order that costs less than the shipping. It looks like my desire for coloured hose is gonna cost me.

I try to always combine orders with others. You will find someone be patient. That is exactly what I got a red hose and dark blue.
