Maybe you try switching screens between them and seeing if that makes a difference?

I would love some feedback about the new style dimpled screen that lays flat, but nobody is talking..

P2's protruding mouthpiece is a little short. It could have been a bit longer and have the vapor coming out the center instead of searing the side of your lip.

If you push on one of those small clear silicone g-pro type mouthpiece tip covers onto the extended mouthpiece it hits and feels Perfect!

It extends the mouthpiece only about 4 mm's. But it can slip off and is not black.

Everything else about the P2 is A1, but maybe they can add a better mouthpiece later to kind of complete their little masterpiece...:2c:
R
Regarding the dimpled screen, even though they changed to that design to avoid blocking the air path, I still install it at a slight angle. Then I check airflow to confirm the angle is enough. That with an extremely gentle pull is all it takes...

@Vape Dr. thanks for the bb method! At first it increased draw resistance too much, but then I got some nail clippers and cut off the lips of the internal mouthpiece stems...and BAM! No draw resistance and no heat!
...it looks ugly as shit, but who looks at this part of the mouth piece? @Ojan_at_PAX you guys should seriously consider this design for the mp

I think now I'll finally use the original style mouth piece

Way ahead of ya! I showed @Vape Dr.'s post to one of our lead engineers and he nodded in approval. Not sure what that means for the future, though. I'm interested in trying it out one of these days too.
I'm not sure the BB is the best factory solution overall. I'm going to use it. But it's not elegant..

Probably the mouthpiece should be redesigned and maybe extend 3 or 4 mm more out and the air mixing done inside the the mouthpiece with the vapor coming out the middle for sure rather than two edges.

The best I found it was with the little g-pro heat tip pushed on the mouthpiece. It may extend a few mm's too much but it feels wonderful to use. The stubby guy does not feel good when you use it. It's too short a little.

Otherwise A1

I recently went from the Arizer Solo to the PAX 2 and I love the PAX 2. I was on the Grasshopper waiting list and ordered one in february and they took my money, invoice said it would ship by May 15, 2015 and then it was pushed back to July so I decided to email trevor and ask him for a refund which he promptly did and I then ordered my PAX 2. I am glad I did get P2 as it has thick milky white vape clouds. I start at the lowest heat setting and work my way up to the highest/4th heat setting and I take 4 draws off of each but usually on the 4th setting I take about 6-8 draws so at minimum I can get 17 draws off of one session and that usually kills the oven, meaning I need to change it. Super easy to use, I thought the Solo was easy but this is the easiest by far and the taste is great. The Solo did a great job but it does look like a futuristic crack pipe and isn't really portable.

The flush/flat mouth piece? I have no draw resistance and my P2 only gets really warm at the end which I don't think is a big deal.

I'm not talking about the flat mouthpeice, I'm talking about the other one with a bb inserted
@Bandoo try to cut those protruding lips around the mouthpeice tubes on the underside, there us no draw resistance if you do it that way

I'm going to do it now.
OK I cut them off and used the bb. Still there was too much resistance with one hole closed.
So I removed the bb and tried it. That seemed to work best of all. I don't know why exactly as yet..

Sorry Guys.... I have to say that blocking one of the holes is not the best idea.....

What I have done and has worked and I posted this about 100 pages ago ( not saying it's the best idea either)

push a drill bit through the holes by hand.... trim the cup off the bottom of each hole...

BOOM.... no heat.... now vapor comes out of both holes.... for me problem solved without restricting pull but actually increasing it

The new Pax looks great indeed, very nice presentation! I would love to try it and see it brought to Europe!

I did it and it's now great. Opening the holes and trimming the ridges makes it fine.
Very little draw resistance and the vapor goes straight in and not to the like sides before overheating the sides of your lips.
Thanks for the mod! :clap::clap::clap:

That's good it worked for you, but can you post pics of the opened holes? I've tried no bb with trimmed ridges and it produces more/cooler vapor than the MP un-modded...but after big draws it still gets hot...the bb over the vapor path hole with both ridges trimmed makes it like a 'mini crafty CU' to me and it takes much more to get it hot and the draw resistance is similar to the flat MP...which is a plus because that means less 'airy' hits (one of my main pluses for the p2)
@Vapor King didn't realize you mentioned trimming the ridges 100 pages ago! Would have saved me some thinking!

Maybe the King can post some pics.
I usually use only the first 2 petals with 3 used occasionally. I found it ok cool now.

I probably would not produce a mouthpiece like this though. They will probably have to do a redesign.
I would maybe add a m.m. or 2 length.

I would prefer to control the draw myself rather than have it restricted like the un modded mouthpiece.
They can call the new one 'The Pro-Pax Mouthpiece' for more experienced users or whatever.

The air should probably be mixed inside the mouthpiece with a slit on the top.
They will have to figure out how to do that with the metal switch plug in there. Otherwise two holes more centered if that whats possible only.

Another idea if they need to keep the center free, they could angle the flaps that deflect the vapor to the sides, instead angle air flow on exit to the center. That would also be cool..

They can send us a few samples to critique. :)

If they even will?   If not, we can probably make one :o :brow:

Otherwise they did a great job overall and were maybe waiting some feedback from users concerning this mouthpiece so they could fine-tune it. :nope:

My p1 has seen no work since this p2 showed up..

I just wonder how they found a silicone with no taste and no smell when heated...
Nice one...:myday:

Have been following this on and off, but cannot seem to find anymore concrete info on this.

Will Pax2 be available in Europe ? Think I asked this first time I saw this thread ,but never got an answer I believe . Please correct me if I am wrong .

Please read the link in the second post above yours.

I don't know if the question came from you, but I've answered this already in this thread, and so have the Pax Lab reps.

IT'S HAPPENING!

I'm finally upgrading from my GPro (misguided purchase but it has actually done me well) to a Pax 2! Thankfully there is a well-known and much-respected LHS in town that is an official Pax retailer. It'll be nice to not have to be concerned about counterfeits and at the same time support local and regional businesses.

I might have to wait until later to post my results as I'm sure my significant other wouldn't appreciate it if I used the new toy first by myself.

It has been thusly purchased! This thing is even smaller than I ever imagined! With my big hands I can actually cover the device while sipping. It's perfect!

Now the agonizing wait until SO is off work so we can break it in!

Where can I find an extensive list of easter eggs? Dude at LHS said there's one where there is actually a fifth heat setting. I'd already discovered the various party modes as well as Simon. I can't freaking wait to finally try this! I've been drooling over it since it released.

Just saw a fake pax 2 on craigslist...dude is charging $200!

He said the charger is 3 peices (yea right)

I'm asking him some more questions to trip him up i kinda want to see it, so I can know what to look for

Not sure if this has been said before, but I found a way to vape very small amounts in the Pax 2. Simply grind finely using a 2 piece grinder or similar. Then, pack a very thin layer at the bottom of the oven and pack it down using a packing tool with a flat bottom. Put the Pax 2 on 3rd heat. Finally, hold it upside down so your lower lip goes around the edge and touches the mouthpiece and your upper lip touches the body. I get huge vapor clouds this way and around 6-8 full hits!

Yea, we use small loads here from time to time...

never have tried to turn it upside down though.

Just place a pipe screen over the load to keep it in place and you can hold it how ya want
