Life Saber (LSV) by Elev8 Vehicles

Just got a new LSV in the mail, but it doesn't seem right. I bought just for WPA use, but the inner glass tube is way off center, nearly touching the wall. It seems like I'd brake the WPA in short order if I tried to use it. Is this normal? I've tried calling customer service a few times but no one picks up.

My heater cover is off center as well and I have never broken the WPA. What makes you think that you will?

If it really bugs you though, you can always pull the heater cover off and put it back on again and see if it straightens out. Either that, or very, very gently, put your finger in the top and slowly bend it towards center. Prior to this though, make sure that the heater cover is pushed all the way down till it's touching those three screws. Make sure though that your LSV has totally cooled off before trying this so you don't burn the fuck out of your fingers. There is a gamble though in doing this in that you could break the heater cover or lose a shim.

The thing is that it's way off center, like 3mm from the wall, no where near the center. This doesn't give it room to properly fit into the WPA unless I insert it crooked and it scrapes against the wall. I'm afraid that the friction is what's going to break the WPA. If that's normal though that's fine with me.

Your other option is to unscrew the second metal piece (with the holes). This will work fine, but it leaves burning hot glass exposed

Not sure what do you mean but did u unscrew the top of the lsv ?

I pulled off the glass heater cover and the element beneath it is way crooked, so putting it back on didn't straighten it out at all. Taking off the metal part with holes would take care of the friction, but I'd rather not have the hot glass exposed if I can help it.

I can attach the WPA as it is, but there is a lot of friction and it stays flush against the metal wall on one side. Is it safe for my WPA to scrape the inside wall of the metal piece with holes every time it's used?

Yes, I unscrewed the top. It's just inside it's so unbelievably crooked that putting the WPA on the glass heater cover requires friction and leaves the WPA flush against the metal piece with holes.

I think most of them are off center, mine is the same way. I found that if I unscrew the top cap and gently twist (spin) the heater cover, I can get it to a position where it almost lines up center. Looking down at it, I can see when I twist the heater cover that in some spots it practically touches the side housing, and I just look for a spot where it looks to be in the center. If you try this make sure the heater cover is properly seated all the way down to the screws, as lwein suggested, so that the heater cover does not slip off once it is upside down.

Ok, I tried spinning the heater cover and while it's still way off center, I got another 2 mm so of wiggle room. There's still friction inserting the WPA, but less. I'm hoping that's okay.

I've got another question - normally using a water pipe you remove the bowl to then pull the smoke through the chamber. I've had a 10 year old VRIP heat gun bowl that has a part to pull the bowl out. The WPA bowl has no part to grab to remove the bowl while it's hot. Do you leave the bowl in while you vaporize and finish your hit, or do you try to pull it up with it still inside the life saber? I'm afraid it could fall doing that but I'm not sure.

Thanks for all the help.

If your glass piece does not have much blow back you can leave the wpa on if you like, clears faster if you remove it. With my Lev Lattice bubbler I can get away with leaving the wpa on until the bowl gets near the end, once the abv is really dry the blow back will cause some abv to fly out the bowl so I just pick the bowl up to clear.

I have never found the wpa too hot to handle, even towards the end of my session when I have the LSV running hotter than normal.

vaporbaron I have the same issue as you. The solution, unfortunately, is to use the LSV without the ventilation section screwed on to protect the heater cover.

And same as VAPORIZER22, while my WPA will get warm, it certainly doesn't get uncomfortably warm or hot.

Guys, you shouldn't have to unscrew the ventilation cover to use the WPA. Either you should be able to adjust it on your own and if not, give Chris a call over at 7th Floor or zip him out an email.

I've got a pic, but I'm not sure how to upload it here and am not subscribed to any services to host it. I sent it to Chris at 7th floor and got a reply.

"This is normal. When you slide the transfer wand in place it will center itself. When you use the water pipe adapter, the heater cover will move into place. You should not have any problems. "

That's good to know.

I don't have to per se, but the ventilation section makes contact with the WPA if I use it without unscrewing it, and I don't like that at all.
Have e-mailed, was told that as far as they're concerned if it heats up it's not a problem. Disappointing, but oh well. Hopefully I won't break the HC or burn anything with the exposed super-hot glass.

If I were you, I'd put that ventilation section back on. You have more of chance burning your self or burning something than having something happen to your vape or your WPA with the ventilation section screwed on. The heater cover is meant to give to a certain extent. It is not totally rigid, and as such, as Chris said, should pose no problems when using it with the WPA.

Just got my 14mm shorty WPA in the mail 40 minutes ago, and after one bowl I'm kicking myself for not getting this sooner. My want list of vapes just got a bit smaller I think

Been a while since I've used the wand on my LSV so I decided to get it out today. Typically I would take a steady pull on it but this time I puffed on it like a cigar. Definitely better results than I usually get.

Yup. When I'm too lazy to set up the bong, which isn't too often, I'll whip out the wand and use it the same way you do, puff on it like a cigar. A little less harsh that way it seems.

ordered my lsv on fri...an of course these are the longest days in my life :( i have no other vaporizers, i recently got the dragon lite an within a month of heavy use it broke...so now i have no choice to suffer an combust till lsv comes

Where can you order an LSV right now?

Edit: Nevermind i thought the main site didn't have them for some reason..

I'm bonding with the LSV...while I thought it would be a problem in bed since it can't sit on my coffee table that is next to my bed...turns out it fine right next to me...using the whip in bed (EQ elbow) ...1 stir only works wonderfully :)

When I used the glass wand I grind the herb with scissors and after 1 hit I need to squash the herb to get far bigger hits...

Now the LSV is a monster...it kills me and too often just too much for my solo sessions... :)

Just a general question to ask ya'll out of curiosity. About how long does it take for your WPA to accumulate w/ wand hash? How long do you go until you scrape? Seems like it takes around a month to a month and a half for a nice size amount to accumulate in mine. This is after the wpa is completely clean. I've noticed the longer you go let the hash accumulate for, the dirtier the water gets after each session.

I use a fairly fine screen so I don't have too much plant mater collect. For cleaning I just pull the screen out once a week or so and hit it with my dabbing torch. As for the reclaim, I've had my 14mm WPA for about 4-5 weeks and will need to scrape/clean it soon (starting to drip down the joint)

Are you using the EQ screens? I want to try a finer screen and the stuff at the lhs isn't much finer than what came with the LSV.
