Hey guys 'n girls. Well my FC-186 was fatally wounded and now awaits recycling.

I wasn't too disappointed. From when I bought it I was never fully happy with it and wished I had bought the slightly shorter model Newvape were demoing at the time.

They (Edwyn) recommended the 186 for the Flowerpot and lots of people bought one. But I was convinced the Newvape model, which they went on to sell themselves- was better.

So I had my second chance. I searched the gate for the exact same "mobius matrix"or "stereo matrix" bubbler model , and there was just one that looked like it. So I ordered it, £31 shipped to UK.
    https://m.dhgate.com/product/oil-rig-waterpipe-glass-pipes-water-bongs/409340520.html

Check out the differences to the 186:
    https://m.dhgate.com/product/advance-booking-2015-new-high-quality-glass/218127444.html#pd-019

I really dig the look of the top one a lot more. It is a little shorter only, but the shape, design and angle of the mouthiece are what I like the most. It should also make it easier to see the vapor forming in the tube. Not very easy to look down with the 186.

So, Im very pleased actuallt to replace it. Whenever I look at this new one, photo or in Flowerpot videos, I just want to use it. Didn't feel like that about the 186.
    Can't wait now!

Still a great designed larger piece. The matrix + pillar was the pinnacle of glass diffusion technology in 2015 imo. Thank you everyone here who helped design it!

I want to pick up either an egg or ecosphere from CCG with SOL perc. Asking those that have tried both if there's any reason to favor one over the other. Usage will be quartz banger and log vapes. Thanks.

Funny. I have been using the D020 a lot lately with VapCaps, and switching off with my j-hook and ash catcher. Last night I started using the D022 with the Lotus WPA and VCs. I think I'll lean on that for a while... :D

    For $195 including shipping...?!
Is this frivolous? I'm married with kids and by no means rich!
The last "rig" I bought was a purple plastic graffix bong in the late 80's (still have it)...
ACK! I hate making selfish purchases...

Wow, you said a lot there and none of it will go unnoticed... thank you very much for that...!

And you, too... thank you, I am rich, I guess, just maybe not monetarily... for "western" glass it doesn't seem too outrageous, minus the 37(EUR) to ship it, of course... plus it does seem very versatile (bang for buck)... which of course leads me to:

Wow...! Thank you very much for your effort in providing a very practical and cost effective alternative. My only concern is it's height and tippy-ness in comparison. I mostly vape in the basement where concrete abounds despite the thickly padded area carpet and very low coffee table. I feel the ACW may have a better shot at (possibly) surviving a mishap (rationalizing?)...? In any case, it looks like it would be relatively harder to inadvertently knock over. Again, really appreciate it!

And thank you again @ataxian! Can't beat that price for sure! My only issue with a "side-car" is well, the "side-car"... and it's asymmetry... But for 80% less my brain could probably get used to it!

    To you all:

I really, really do like the look of that piece. It's just the price is significantly out of my range. If we could get Steven to dupe this I think it would be a big seller...

    Oh Steven...

@Bologna, a couple more pieces similar to the Ehle:

Link. This piece was thin and not the best quality, but functional. Unfortunately only available with amber accents. Wouldn't buy unless you're willing to really baby it.

Can't link because counterfeit, but can be found pretty easily searching "Illadelph". This one was thicker and better quality, but kinda small and mine arrived with a broken downstem so had to negotiate partial refund from seller. Really not a fan of logos and I didn't have any luck removing them.

Ended up getting rid of both, but still like the form factor so might try something similar from Steven if he were to produce it.

edit: btw Ehle is great quality glass and was my first "high end" glass purchase circa 2005

Well, I don't know if Steven still takes ideas from us, but I dropped the link to him in his mail on DHGate. I wouldn't count on anything but ya never know. He has done well on several of our suggestions...

    Basics/Standarts are : D020, D020 D, FC MOD, FC UFO

Can't go wrong with these items/sellers, but you can find cheaper
Try to use the vapcap on a 10mm female joint (if you have a mouthpiece on it) instead of the 14mm joint

@Summer, is this what you're talking about? I don't understand the distinction you're making between plug versus stopper.
