Zapping Hash Oil?
We have discussed this before.
I wanted to remind all, that when Iso is used to clean up hash oil "mess" there is one last way to inhale the last drops of your treasure.....
THE ZAP!
I found another discovery about an empty earwax container.. and its remnants!!!!
I put 91% iso in it.. and shook...
I scraped and worked the sides.. until the alaskan ice "fingerprints were all gone.....then I stuck a qtip in and scrubbed within the alcohol, which absorbed into the qtip as I swabbed. When the thing was clean I laid down the qtip, and later I pulled the cotton ball off the qtip... stuck it in my Zap stem, and I got 3 BIG Hash tasting hits that actually medicated me very effectively! Cotton plug blew right out after hits stopped.. and the cotton was unscorched!

I've done this before vito it works quite well and the cotton doesn't even become singed i like to run a q-tip over my glass pie pan after I scrape it and also when i used to use coffee filters to strain the iso from my abv i would rip it into tiny sections and stuff it in and it would vape quite nicely

Looks like it is time for the old man to pop out of his cave for a bit. We have had a good deal of snow in the last few days and the temp is staying around 20. That yearly transition is getting tougher every year but the neat part is after a few days of it, we do the adjustment with a smile. After all, it is Mother doing her thing. Zaplady just hollered "snowing again". For those who do not know, we are in the mountains of North Idaho, at the end of a road one mile from the highway. The last 1/2 mile of road is ours to maintain besides everything around the house and shop and the road over to our sons house. Winter gets busy or we do not get out. I fight that every year with lousy attitude when it happens, then mellow to reality. We are at the mellow stage now so all is well. We also have our 37 year young son here to do the heavy lifting and he does an incredible job. We would have to consider moving without him here. It takes more work to be country. Much 'free time' is spent keeping all the flows humming. Even the chickens need more attention as they cannot get out to eat grass and bugs and worms. They almost hibernate this time of the year. We have to get in and remind them they also have a job to do.
This year we have added bovines to the mix. We have three(mama and a couple steers). Now there is an amazing animal, converting grass to meat so efficiently. I love to watch them chew their cud. They are in a trance and it can be blistering 90 or 10 degrees with snow and they do it the same all the time. So calm. So tough yet so gentle. We do have a special thing going with them. We even spent the first couple days of the first big snow building them some extra shelter for feeding and loafing. Also a good spot to have a couple wireless cameras on them for some of our entertainment.

Not much news on the Zap front. We are beginning to mix up the show with some wholesale here and there. When the time is right, we will announce some of that info here but for now it is just trod along the same well beaten path.
That path will get more interesting in the next few weeks as we will have some nice Christmas pretties in the pipeline. More Redwood and Sumac and maybe some Myrtle Burl among other stuff coming down the trail.
We have found some slight variation in vape temp related to wood density, even with the insulated heatport design. If we leave too much of the denser wood around the middle of the unit, vape temps will be slightly lower. We have a beautiful walnut that was returned for 'wispy' performance and replaced. That walnut is now being used by Zaplady regularly and actually works fine but does not put out those massive thick clouds some folks like. Our log vape is still in the mid to higher vape temp range with most of them running in the higher mid range. On occasion a few will go very high with a thinner wood shell made from a low density wood. If you want consistent massive milky clouds with more herb consumption, the RockZap may not be for you.
We have disassembled a few for a good exam and still find zero charring of any wood around the heater 'core' which was the main goal of changing to the insulated design.
And now, a couple shots of what we wake up to every morning now that winter has set in. We are in a 'bowl' as you can see. Kind of a cave but an outside cave. So very quiet this time of the year too with hunting season mostly over and all the summer tourists back in their warmer climate. Still a few birds chirping, crows always crowing and turkeys clucking, even though they are staying high in the trees.

and out the kitchen window, NW. Our sons place is in the trees above the old shop, now used for storage. That is the top of Zapladys Polish Golf cart we use to get around the place you see in front.

We love each season and are very happy to be somewhere with all four seasons each very strong and real.
That is all second growth timber, most in the 60-80+foot range. Shots were taken early in the morning with very little light.

I don't envy you for the snow & cold just yet, but man, what a beautiful place to live. I got to get out of the city soon, or perhaps even out of this tiny overcrowded flat country some day.

Adopt me plz, I'm only one year older then your son, ha!

Hello Rick!
Well, First post here. I've been creepin in the shadows for a couple weeks now (found the site looking for EQ info) and after 2 weeks of having this thing, I realize that I may have purchased the wrong daily driver. I've done plenty of info about the log style of vape and I've decided I want to try one, Was originally going for a PD, but after seeing the woods used for Rock zaps I decided that was my better choice.

As I'm processing the order a error pops up on paypal saying you don't accept payments from Canada, then how would people suggest people such as myself would go about purchasing one of your vaporizers?
I'm sure you've been asking this before, my apologies, I searched the forums and your website for info but could not find anything.

Thanks for your time!

After being out of weed for a while because lack of funds, I got some ubers that upon grinding would produce a lot of kief.
My good friend happens to be in town and I took Chatoya1 over to his house and packed some mostly kief stems for him to experience. You should have seen this guy blowing out milky white pure kief O's.. he was in heaven!

I love this fucking thing.

Blowin' kief is a great experience.
Ebveryone here knows I am a Zap Fanatic through and through....
I have just found a new favorite way of doing hash oil!
I dip a qtip in 91% Iso, and I give it a light spin it a vial of BHO or any concentrate..
(I spin the Iso dipped qtip AGAINST whatever oil I have for 1 spin)
I then sit the qtip down to dry.
When I find my driedm qtip, I UNSIN the cotton tip, and re spin it without the stick.... then I stuff it into my rockZap stem... and start pulling!
This is the most EFFICIENT Hash Oil tool yet!
Happy Thanksgiving to Rick & Pat... and their Family.....
and to all you Zaporific Vape Friends out their!

Happy Thanksgiving all. Back to the real world now, deleting gobs of Black Friday offers from every business I have ever bought from online. Today we will be finishing off a very busy week here in Zapville. Good wrap up days in the shop also allow my mind to wander as it often does. Wandering(wondering?) what we will be doing for you all(and us) over the next month and beyond. We will be gathering up some real pretty stuff to be showing, selling and delivering between now and the first of the year. We are staying at a week or less from order to delivery of CRZs. Inventory in stock means a new world for log vape buyers. Pick what you like and get what you pick quickly.
We make them big and small but most are smaller and fit the hand like you see in Vitos pic above. We tried a few "in the hand" shots ourselves but our hands are old and worn and took attention away from the product in our opinion. Maybe we can find some younger hands to do a better job.
We will be re-stocking this weekend and you will be seeing what happens when a month or two of customer feedback gets to a very fine wood artist.
Hell, who knows? I may even come up with something different around these parts to spice it up a bit. or maybe not. Depends on how busy we get.
And remember, real Thanksgiving happens every day. It should anyway. Try it and see what happens. Fill your being with thankfulness every day.
