Arizer Solo

A tragedy has struck my arizer solo. I bought it off amazon for 160 two months ago so i'm assuming i have a m107. I've been using it with great enjoyment for 2 months. In total i've probably used it for 10 to 12 sessions. Yesterday, however it seems that it no longer works. I always have it charged, as whenever i'm not vaping with it, it's in the charger, which is a long time. So I assume that the battery works. However, now when i turn it on there's no beeper and there's no heat being produced. I can still switch heat levels, but it always stays on idle or for some reason it pops up to 7, again even though there's no heat being produced. What should i do? Is the battery finished? I've only used it 10 times, so approximately 5 hours. Is it bad if i keep it in the charger? I don't think i banged it or dropped it against anything.... What should i do?

Welcome to FC Leithal ,

Located at the bottom of the Solo , there should be a sticker indicating the model # .
ie . M107 or M1D ...
The M1D is the newest and has been reported to have some battery problems .
Nothing about the M107 ....so far .

I've never dealt with amazon , but was told there are authorized dealers on there for the Solo .
So you should be covered under the warranty . I would contact Arizer or maybe the amazon dealer .

I would first try plugging the solo back in and then unplugging it again and seeing if that doesn't "reset" it. I have had my solo's do some weird stuff on very rare occasions, and simply plugging the unit back into the charger or ac adapter would resolve it for whatever reason. It sounds like your best bet is to exercise that warranty and e-mail Kevin at Arizer. They have been very helpful every time I have needed assistance, so hopefully you receive the same treatment.

I thought I read somewhere it's bad to "overcharge" your solo. So keeping it on the charger could have hurt the battery. I always charge after a session and make sure to watch for when it becomes fully charged.

Well; that's not the case. You don't need to worry about the battery damaging itself from being left on the charger. Where that idea came from is with older types of rechargeable batteries which did have particular quirks in operation that needed to be taken into consideration like overcharging or discharging. Lithium Ion batteries have built in circuits to protect against things like that.

Good to know Centizen ,
I charge mine over night while I sleep .
So it's left on for a few extra hours after it's fully charged , for sure .

And Leithal ,
The M1A are the latest version .
I'm intrigued by the fact that a latest version would have issues ...any issues .
Keep us posted on your situation , please .

poonman,
I got the M-108 black for $155 shipped free 2-day shipping, authorized dealer.
There is no such serial number. You will be getting a M1D probably as well.

Anyone know the measurement of the stock stems? I'm ready to use a water tool with the solo, but need to figure out the measurements first.

I asked the guy at my LHS about the size of the joint on the bubbler and he had no idea (face palm).

The stem goes in but isn't secure as the size of the joint in the bubbler is just slightly larger.

Would that indicate that I should go with an 18 GONG adapter or am I able to do this with a silicone ring? I need to get the PA also!
Stick the solo stem in your bubblers joint. If the stem and the solo feel like they are going to fall in then its 18mm if the stem gets caught then its a 14mm.

If someone got an M-108... you are the first person to get a Solo knock-off!!!!
Congrats and let us know how it works...

BTW, Arizer is super cool leaving tasks for third parties like someone said, but IMO is super lame that after so many complaints 4 holed screen stems are still stock for Solos.

Is it that hard to let the stems full turbo?? Let people mod their own stems with SS screens :)

Lost track of this thread for a day ... a few days back, and there is a whole new chapter going on here!
We just got a number of the newest models in here in our community.. a half dozen miA units.
All are as solid as a rock according to the owners. (I have one here as well that performs outstandingly)

I have definitely settled in with the MD1 model. The only thing I can find that makes it stand out is the battery read out dropping significantly per sesh, compared to the M107. Otherwise, it's working just as expected.

Used this at a party yesterday with a few people.

There mind couldn't grasp that such a thing exists. Clean, cloudy, and enjoyable were words they used to describe it. They were all females and couldn't stop talking about how their throats felt great after vaping lol.

One of the girls is getting a solo for their BF soon. That's how impressed they were!

Solos are all the same. Same hardware and same battery.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Arizer only twisted the Solo firmware.
M-107 is the last one hundred label they used, now all the serial numbers are M1D and I'm guessing people are getting M1As already.
So people, from M106 in advance you are ready to go IMO.
M this, M that is just a sticker and lot/batch number IMO, just a reference for them if something goes wrong with a batch, am I wrong???
And if you keep getting M1Z or M2 or M^&*%&^$*^FYTUYTJFYITGBYTVUY is the same Solo.
The point here is Solos rocks no matter which model you are getting right now as far as 9/23/12

I still love my m104
It functions the same, just a slightly looser fit.
That makes it more fun for me and easier when I use my Ed's Solo stems.

So since there have been no suggestions on how to fix it, does anyone know how i can contact arizer and get my warranty for the m1a? I found there site, however there are no phone numbers to call, only email. This isn't a question about the vape, but how would i go about getting a new one through the warranty? How do i tell if the battery is done, it still creates lights, however the heating system doesn't work.

I'm trying to help you, you just have to read the post. I believe e-mail is the only option you have, at least at this point, so stop wasting time and e-mail them. Ask for a number, Kevin might give you one. But at this point posting on this thread is wasted effort when you can be contacting Kevin at Arizer and hopefully getting real answers and help. No one here can help you with the warranty process though. I can tell you thought that the warranty process might involve you sending your malfunction solo to Arizer in Canada, and then they will send you a new one in return. Once again though, Kevin will be a bigger help in regards to warranty than anyone here. He is the man to talk to.

Thanks, but I've already emailed that address, and i have yet to get a response. I don't know if it's because they have no one who works on the weekends or if they have yet to get to it, but it's relatively weird that a company is only contactable through email so i was wondering if i was missing something.

It is only Kevin, so his response time can sometime be up two 2 days. I just got an e-mail from him today, so he does answer e-mails even on Sundays. He will get back to you I'm sure, but unfortunately you might have to be patient for a few days. I agree it is really odd to not have a phone number listed but I can understand given the seemingly small staff that they employ.

For the person with the Solo thats not working, Arizer usually recommends you contact the dealer you bought the Solo from.

That dealer will take care of the warranty process for you, which in most cases they swap it for another one. Contacting the dealer you bought it from is much faster as well.
