No I have .5 and they need to be clipped/domed to fit. Usually a domed screen can be flattened.

    .325 are too small.

Do you know what size PV uses then? I found those PERFECT....slight dome and then could just push and flatten. I can save $40 purchasing a solo, extra stem and PA from PIU over PV, so don't wanna pay $8 shipping for just a few screens.

I think I read somewhere that .5 was the right size :\

Get the .5, they are the closest to the proper size that I've used. Just buy a thin Sharpie marker and dome the screens over the back.

That's what I did before, except I just dome over my finger. You get then "adjust" the screen height by pushing down, this way you could keep the flower load above the holes and create any size bowl you like.

I think I understand what you said earlier with having to trim...that's if you want an "exact" fit.

Yes. Nail clippers work really well for this purpose.

[IMG]The one on the left is EBAY (finer mesh)
The right is PLANET VAPES (They clean up with ISO so they last a long time)
    they both work

Ya I figured I don't need that many, but for the price what the hell. I think i'll prefer the finer mesh, I found PV's to be a little too coarse to allow more particulate through. Then again, I bet PV's have better airflow.

True I know, but Randy will ship me a Solo, extra stem, and PA for $195 inc. shipping to Canada. With PV, using that discount you can't get another discount off of the PA, so it comes to $210 but need to pay taxes too so comes to $237, hence the $40 price difference. I'd like to support a Canadian company, but sorry, for $40 i'm buying from Cali and not paying taxes. I pay enough tax as it is. Trade off, I don't get next day shipping, but to save $40 I can handle that :)

oh, that was not directed at you specifically vape4life, I just thought it was worth mentioning for new folk passing through who may not be aware, since so many are going to PV to buy the PVHES stems and what not. I don't blame you one bit for wanting the lower price deal, though. That's why I bought my first Solo from Amazon, and the second from Ebay. Guess I got lucky, all my solos have worked well so far.

Here is what I received from Arizer for the issue where you try to charge you get
one light solid and lights 2 and 3 flicking. The green light is not on but if you play
around with it. Pushing both arrows simultaneously you can get it to reset and work
    correctly.

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear you have experienced an issue with your Solo unit. This problem sounds like it may be covered under warranty.
You may be able to manually reset your Solo. Please try the following:
    • Plug the charger into the wall outlet
    • Plug the charger into the Solo unit
    • press and hold both buttons for approximately 4 seconds
    • wait for 10 seconds then unplug from charger
Once you have done this try out the unit again. If the problem persists, the issue may be due to a problem with the charger. Please make sure that the charger is fully connected to the Solo for a proper charge. If you check the connections and they are secured properly but the problem persists, please check to see if the red light on the charger illuminates when you try to charge the unit and let me know. If the light on the charger does not light up then the problem is most certainly due to a faulty charger. Also, if you know anyone with the same unit, perhaps you can try using their charger with your Solo to confirm if the problem is the charger or the Solo unit itself.
Once you have checked these things, please respond to my troubleshooting suggestions and also provide me with the following information:

    · Your full name and shipping address
    · The serial number on the bottom of your unit
    · The power specifications listed on the charger
    · A copy of your sales receipt

Once I receive this information I will advise you further.

Best Regards,A GREAT TECH PERSON FROMArizer Techservice@arizer.com

You gotta love Arizer's customer service. Always curteous prompt emails. I had a bad experience a while back (for those that remember me getting my warrantied Solo back laced with flowers), but i've put it behind me.

How is the smell on the solo? Would I be able to use it in the house while parents are around.

I recommend adherance to the home owner's preferences. If you must, stay downwind regardless... some folks are sensitive.
Downwind can mean near a vent or window or in a closed room.

if your bud smells, your vape will smell, no matter which one you buy. Once you apply heat it will just enhance the odor. I see you have posted this question in several threads. Unfortunately you can not get away from the bud smell with a vape, it is not as strong, and permeable as smoking, but it will smell some, no matter what. Even just fresh bud will smell up a room if not vented. If you are trying to hide from your parents, I would say any vape you buy is going to have odor risk.

We have a policy. It's in the rules you should have read when you signed up. The policy is:
    • This forum is for mature adults only. We don’t want to hear about you needing to hide things from your parents.
I realize we have 30 year olds living with parents who wouldn't understand, and I'll just assume you're one of them. Since we can't tell those from 16 year old high school students who shouldn't even be using FC, we frown on this behaviour from them too. Please find another way to phrase your inquiries about odour.

My wife detests the smell of mj, but is fine with me using the Solo right next to her...

There 'is' an odor of exhaled vapor, but I've been told by non partakers that it doesn't smell like weed, and they were unable to identify just 'what' it smelled like.

Whatever the aroma is, it seems much lighter than combusted weed and dissipates quickly, and it doesn't seem to cling to my clothes like burmt herb does.

vapor smell a lot less than combustion. aside from your herbs smelling while you are grinding and loading, exhaled vapor does have an odor. this can be minimized by taking more smaller hits and absorbing completely. blowing big clouds is fun, but kills the stealth. with a clean empty stem, the unit does not have much odor.

I probably couldn't find it myself, and don't want to bring up that blip in time anyway when I wasn't very nice. Long story short, my Solo's heater started "ticking" so I sent it in for warranty. They said nothing was wrong with it, and sent it back with herb inside and on top of the unit which IMO was extremely unprofessional. I had posted pics of it, but since I think I took them off of imageshak. Regardless, I learned that the ticking happens on other Solo's sometimes too.

Let me make it clear, Arizer's customer service is absolutely AAA+ like they say.

Just had my first session with the Ehle 250ml, gong adapter and the Solo. It was different than what i thought it would be. I had it on setting 4, thinking about building up to 7..But i actually had to go back to 3 LOL!

The hits at 4 where HUGE! A lot bigger than i am used to with the stock stem. I didn't want to get really really baked, just a little. I plan on trying this on higher temps with sativa dominant strains. Any recommendations? :ko:

The next bowl i will try to put the stock stem directly in the downstem. I will report after that

edit: The bong is great by the way. :D The quality is better than i expected. And i never would have guessed what downstem i needed. The diffused stem is awesome! Thanks @vorrange and the other person who helped me!

So I was looking at my medicated tea at lunch, while hitting my solo. Stem is pretty oily, time for a cleaning..
Decided Im soaking my stem in the medicated tea when I make it later
