@Indica Vaporizer do you know when an updated model is supposed to come out?

Truely, too early to give you a specific date. Most of the requested updates, and I repeat, most, not all, are being looked into. I need continued feed back from the patrons with the existing model over more time before deternining if added programming adjustmentns need be applied.

Currently, my plans are to travel to the factroy for several weeks later this month and test many of these pending opptions. Uppon my return, I will feel confident to answer your question with firmer dates.

Mine is out for delivery , so I should be vaping with it by tonight :smug: . Did anybody ever figure out anything about why people outside of Colorado have to pay sales tax ? Like I said before , not a big deal to me , but a definitive answer on that may clear up some confusion for other people . I wish the sales tax where I lived was as cheap as Colorado ....

No, and i emailed the other day and didn't get a reply. That $18.50 in tax could have paid for faster shipping ;)

Just so I can say something, what about the option of starting at the last chosen temp setting after shutoff and maybe another way of telling that the desired temp is reached instead of the two flashes?
I always find myself waiting for the two blinks but somehow most of the time I miss them :)
BUT, none of these are needed to have a great experience with the Indica !

I have not seen an Indica in person, but presumably from what you are saying @Belgianvapor , there is only one LED that displays the colour of the temperature setting? And that single LED blinks twice to indicate that it has reached desired temp? If so, I agree. Maybe an additional LED that stays red when heating and green when at temp or something a little more obvious could be added for later models as I certainly would find this helpful too.

My Indica just landed . I'm letting the battery top off now . Quick question , did anybody need any burn off with their unit at first ??

Also , I couldn't get a good picture to illustrate it , but my led isn't as solid as it appears in the video , is it the same with everybody else's ??

Don't worry about the led, mine isn't clear either, and white has a bit of a purle shine.
A burn off is always a good thing to do, no matter what, just put it on red for a session (10 minutes) swab with some iso and you're good to go.

Good thinking but That won't go over well with the color blind folks...was a big issue with another vape I can't think of at the moment.

maybe that's why it always start on lowest setting, so the color blind among us can be sure to count untill they reach the desired temp setting.
Maybe a very slow continuously blinking light to indicate you're good to vape? I don't know how much more battery that blinking light would use.

Ah thanks @Vape Dr. ! My film canister is working for now (don't yet have a use for 100 vials even at that price, maybe if I can find a few people to split them with me) and at home I can fill it easily with a folded business card. Plus I have a white one for AVB (and they work for use with my Solo as well). Just thought it could be another way for @Indica Vaporizer to add even more value to the product (like the wood box, pipe cleaners, pouch, etc), but I do think my other suggestions are more substantial details that would help improve the overall Indica experience.

@llamaman001 thanks so much for posting your packing tips, they helped me maximize my Indica's efficiency. Finally I've had that 4-5 session lasting bowl I've heard so much about! First time I tried packing a lot of herb in, I did overdo it and ended up with a stone. That was probably by far the least efficient bowl I've had on the Indica (but I did still manage to get some vapor even!). Also your suggestions about checking for clogs with a cell flashlight and using a toothpick to clear out that oven hole at the bottom of the tube vastly improved my experience as well, making for more consistantly awesome sessions with this little guy (maybe these two tips should be included in the manual of future models as well? For troubleshooting or in general).

Regarding my unit's battery life, I'm trying it out only running sessions on green or lower. So I should be seeing the hour 30 batteryife correct? I'll report back...

So it looks like even if I don't put the temp above green at all, I still can't get the hour 30 battery life. In my test I was only able to reach around an hour 15 (Probably a little less even), and my average using all temps has been a little over an hour (I usually can get one last 10min session, but it then powers down while heating up the session after that) or about seven 10min sessions.

So is this normal? I remember reading in reviews battery life should be an hour 30 all on green, and around an hour 20 all on red. So is my battery faulty and needed to be replaced under warranty, or is it still considered functioning property? Thanks again guys

This is a very sleek looking vape. It would be great if it came in black so it would be a little more discreet in public.

If anything they should look into custom skins or wraps to have people customize and protect the metal of their Indica.

Received my Indica and have run into a real problem. The oven is not sealed properly. There are gaps with something exposed. Glue or adhesive? It's hard for me to tell. Am really disappointed with the QC.

Edit...Just noticed the oven itself is misaligned.

@ njluvdr , sorry that your vape isn't as it should be , but every company including the best and most precise , has a production flaw here and there . As I'm sure you've noticed , Indica vaporizer is very involved in the forum , so just reach out to them and let them know your problem , and I'm sure they will fix it . It will be worth it in the long run .

I know alll about production flaws. I've dealt with 3 flawed Ascents, a flawed Pnp and FF. These flaws tend to cost me money and time dealing with the return process, with the FF being the exception. I'm only posting my experience as this is in part what this forum is about. IV is very involved as you have pointed out and has already reached out to me. I was told the exposed material is silicone used as insulation. The Indica is going to be returned for an exchange or a refund. Which one depends on how the process is handled and how much more out of pocket it will cost.I will not go through the Ascent experience again. With that said I have confidence IV will rectify the situation. The hoops that have been jumped through to bring this to market gives me that confidence. I had high hopes for the Indica and still do. Will keep eveyone posted.

Edit - Spoke with the President of IV on the phone. I have to say that I am very impressed by the level of service he is providing. He is an extremely personable fellow, a real pleasure to talk to. Will be getting a new unit as a replacement. It is rare to have someone care as much he does about providing a customer the best experience possible. Am looking forward to my replacement and posting my impression as soon as I am able.

I have an easy and efficient cleaing tip :
If you peel away the cotton on one side of a q-tip, you can insert it in the
tube. It fits very tight so it scrapes everything from the tube wall.
You can push it trough untill about a mm from the oven, there it gets a bit
more narrow but you can push a toothpick trough to get the last debris/oil out.

I have spent a few days with my indica , and I'm in love with this thing . I have mostly used it on the green setting , and get surprisingly lifted at the much lower temp than what I'm used to . Although it looks a little funny for someone to suck on a zippo , it slight lack of being very discreet doesn't bother me . I find that the more brazen you are , the less suspicious you come off ( or maybe I'm just a little too bold ). Either way , I would definitely recommend this vape to others ...

I would like to give my quick review of the Indica.
First of all, I have seen this doubt before and I don´t know if this is a glitch or not, but I was able to purchase the Indica with free shipping to Europe. The option is there and it works for EU address. I also had the luck of not paying customs, but as you all know this differs from country to country.
I´ve had only 24 h with the unit, but this far I´m very happy with it... it´s small and feels very durable like previous posters have said.
I have had success with the 0.2 g load, medium packed with the spacer, very nice clouds especially in the purple and red setting, and a nice flavor troughout the sessions ( wich are ate least two with that amount ) and a good medicated state.
I only tried one session with a small load wich was not very satisfying, but I am sure it was user error..
More testing needed!
All in all I am very happy with the unit, and once again I thank all you FC´ers for helping me make another awesome vape purchase.
Cheers

OK, my Indica arrived this morning, it's charging now. Is it normal for the light to go off during charging? How will you know when it's done-solid white light when you turn it on? @Vape Dr. You told me i would be so impressed by the packaging that i wouldn't care about being charged tax lol that might be a better selling point if they'd actually answered my question about tax & hadn't stuck a stupid sticker across the top and side of the box . Took forever to get it off and nobody likes a sticky box ;)

@ VaporsVaporizer , the light should go off when the unit is fully charged . It should've arrived mostly charged . I thought the box was a nice touch , but didn't like the sticky part either ...
Thank you!

Hey guys, The thought on the label was to protect the Indica on a Point of purchase sale and allow for it to be sold out of the chip board box. We may change to a plastic label in the future for for an easier removal. In the mean time, have you tried a hair dryer on the adhesive. This may help remove both label and sticky material.
