And for me... it has been a blue dream couple of days... as I study Blue Dream Herbalized at 300....... and up... all the way to 425. I am doing this in 1 degree increments but to keep the feelings clear, I am taking turns between 300... then 445........ ,301....... 444, 302.....443 etc.
I may be the only person here at this time, but still... a good time was had by all!

now you're just being silly with all your new abilities!

Is there a perfect draw speed for this thing, or does it hit well no matter the speed due to the precise temp adjustments?

Slow or fast works with Herbie.
The only difference i have found is that slower inhales give better flavor and very light vapor, while a fast inhale gets you all the goodies in the first hit almost with a very nice cloud.
So i can have a nice, slow and relaxing session or a fast, hard hitting session depending on my mood or need.

A nice, steady inhale seems to give the best of both worlds, flavor and power!

Herbie seems really forgiving when it comes to varied draw speeds. The only time I feel like I need to pull harder is when the herb in the bowl is too fine and over half full. This is one of the main reasons I have recommended this vape to folks new to vaporizing. Herbie truly is idiot-proof in all areas.

I find that at any given temperature, the vapor production will remain consistent regardless of how hard or fast I'm pulling. You don't need to think about your technique at all while you're hitting the whip, it's pretty awesome.

@vtac, looks like a great setup. What's the approx. diameter of the whip connection on the GonG adapters you're using with that tubing?
The adapters are tapered and will work with pretty much any tubing that you'd use here. :)

As others have said, the device's ability to produce heat extremely quickly combined with an in-airstream thermocouple and well-designed software allows it to regulate the temperature regardless of your draw speed. It's an excellent system. :D

I love how Herbie gives clouds even with tiny loads!

EDIT: I've noticed the finer your grind, the slower the balloon fills. Medium grind and
loading the bowl halfway seems to work best
Finer grinds usually result in less airflow through the herb which slows the fill rate. Same thing happens if the screens are clogged.

I'd be interested in trying a bowl with a larger diameter opening on the top half.

I've been thinking about different size loads and amount of active compounds over time.

I realize all the best flavor comes out in the first few hits depending on several factors (temp, grind size, qty, etc). I'm not asking about flavor, but active compounds (THC/CBD/CBN) What I'm trying to think of is something I think most of us want. How to extract the most actives from the least amount of material. I'm not sure if I'm thinking of this in the right way, but here goes...

if I load .05g and fill a balloon, I'm going to assume the amount of active compounds will decrease if I fill a 2nd balloon and so on till its just hot air.

If I load .1g should I expect to get 2x the actives in the first balloon, with an appropriate decrease for 2nd or 3rd balloons, or should I expect the actives to last for a longer number of balloons?

I really hope I've explained my question correctly - it seems to clear in my mind, but just not sure I've worded it well.

Can anyone tell me the exact diameter of Herbie's screens? I'm away from home right now and have the opportunity to get a bunch custom cut, and IIRC Herbie doesn't use a standard size. Thanks in advance!

Great to see the thread getting some good feedback again!!!

Grinding:
I have been using a coarse grind from my old Storz&Bickel grinder as I find this to work really well with Herbie. Coarse grind, half fill the bowl and go to town till the vapor starts to dwindle. Remove the bowl and tap lightly to mix the herb around a bit, hit it again and if the vapor starts again keep at it but sometimes I will have exhausted the compounds available with a coarse grind. If that happens remove the bowl, empty the load and break it up finer with your fingers till it is almost a powder. Reload the bowl, your half load should be very small by now since it is so fine, replace bowl on Herbie and enjoy the hidden gems available at the higher temps!
With this method I find I can get a nice evenly dark ABV from every load!

Water Tools:
This area has opened up Herbie even more for me!

@letter never sent you are going to love Herbie with your WT!!!
When I first got Herbie all I had was my Pinnacle WT and it was awesome!!! Herbie has enough power with the fan assist to power the Pinnacle WT without you needing to inhale!! If you have some silicone tubing try slipping a bit over the mouthpiece at the end of the whip and insert that into your Pinnacle WT. It will blow you away!

With the glass that I have Herbie retains the flavor for the first few hits and if I start at 190 it lasts even longer, just the visible vapor is less but the effects are just as strong!! Starting at the top temp Herbie still retains flavor but intend to get it all in the first hit which is very intense for me, but very enjoyable!

The power Herbie has is just amazing! And it is always there and waiting for you, never the other way around!!!!

It is quite strange to not see any of my other vapes out on my desk...
There is only the UFO resembling Herbie sitting there, taking center stage and dominating my vaping landscape!!!
I tell you there is some alien technology in is beast!!!

Funny alright... about the thread being quiet.
Sheila/Josh/Robert are some of my favorite people in the industry.
They took time to establish a great rapport and Sheila and I have visited at great length.
In spite of this, I never "reach out" to them with questions, or issues.
It seems like I contact the makers of most of my vapes at least on a monthly basis... but
with the Herbalizer, it just never happens...
so here is a communication:
Sheila... Josh... Robert.. and the rest of the gang,
Hi- All here is great... Herbie is doing well...
wish you were here.
Big hugs.

Wow is all I can say! I'm brand new to vaporizing and been shopping for my new found hobby. This vape is impressive and I want it. I should be getting my firefly Tuesday, and the herbalizer is my next tool. I was considering the plenty, but this vape just has too many options to pass up. The price is scary but you usually get what you pay for in my humble experience. I just hope I have enough time to save up to get it.

So vtac tricked me into reading this thread, and I'm starring to make some headway through it. I have to jump a head and ask, anyone have some good luck vaping bubble through the herbie?
I followed this vape last spring, but stopped due to the fact that if I read much further, my wallet would be $700+/- lighter... Herbie is in cart, just looking for excuses not to purchase, and not having luck..
