stop the catfight, guys! Mods, can you give us a more detailed story even if you don't have to. Is Leiana banned, can't we at least get a direct response? so far there has been no indication of an attempt to defraud or cheat by Versa.

After reading that note from Versa and the way it was worded, I now have even more suspicions than I did before. It was..............deflect accusations and please don't refund. I'll just leave it at that.

lwien, was that it? sounds like something i would say and do if i was falsely accused. Until there is news that the beta members were screwed, pretty hard to confirm your suspicions. we shall see.

VERSA, pls kindly SEND OUT THE UNITS by EXPRESS POST. Please don't make me drive out there to collect the units!!!

Yes. That is exactly what vtac stated and confirmed by Mister G.

FC would not simply ban w/o evidence. Versa has clearly violated FC rules and has been banned. And it sounds like this is not the first time they have been banned.

I would say Versa owes everyone a response, not FC.

This all sucks, I feel violated. They say if it is too good to be true.....

It's just the way it was worded, tiuk. I was in the marketing game for over 3 decades involved in writing ad copy, purchasing advertising on television, radio and newspapers and coordinating advertising campaigns. The time spent doing that kind gives me some "bullshit" radar. It just doesn't sound right. What dumbfounds me though is that I didn't pick up on it previously.

Of course...........I could be totally wrong on this. But that note just didn't sound kosher.

As Stu said we don't have evidence to suggest that pending transactions with the company are in jeopardy. Forum-wise this is a matter of ban evasion. If you'd like a recap of why the people behind this company were banned in the first place you might want to start here. It's no surprise that they're going to deny everything. I think it's pretty low of them to suggest that there's some sort of conspiracy though.

Should you do business with them? Again, I have no reason to believe that they plan on scamming anyone. With that said, I suggest that you take some time to research their history before giving them your money or support. The amount of misrepresentation they have done is upsetting. By many accounts they overstated the performance of their products. They created a shill account to astroturf, going as far as lying about trying a popular upcoming vape for the purpose of self promotion. I think it's pretty clear that this company will do whatever it takes to push their products with little regard for integrity or honesty.

If you're interested in the "lifetime warranty" you should probably ask some MagickWand customers how long it lasted for them. You could also ask VaporStore.com how these people split before paying for the parts they were fronted to build their vapes.

All in all it's an ugly situation and I regret not acting more quickly. We wanted to gather as much evidence as possible before taking action. I don't want to get into specifics that may help ban evaders in the future, but if you take a look at their old threads and compare the writing style, product designs/features, photo and video production style, and especially the girl in the demo videos, I think you'll see for yourself.

They already said that they needed to sell more betas to meet bills, so it shouldn't come as any surprise that Versa would rather ship product than refund. Hopefully they'll be able to at least deliver the main ceramic heater units (that we have seen pictured in quantity) in 30 days or less to avoid any further problems.

This was the one company that was being lauded for doing everything right with their launch before these recent revelations! If they send us a seriously kickass vaporizer, hopefully that will be a good first step toward redemption here @ fc. I hope to at least get a viable product to review in this thread.

What concerns me the most is not the ban or the fact that they tried to bend the rules. Not saying that is not important...

What concerns me is the fact that HiPi went awol and left his costumers hanging.

If it is in fact Hipi rebranded, the problem about them was not their product but their conduct in business, so i don't think people will get scammed but this clearly destroys their credibility.

I agree. The bowls for the MajikWand looks exactly the same. To be fair, they were only offering 3 year warranty. Pretty shitty. We'll see what happens.

If HiPi had approached FC and asked for a second chance with some assurance of non-repetition, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Either we would have been convinced and all would be fine, or we wouldn't have and there would be no thread. HiPi had these awkward problems with people left hanging, however. This is why I don't believe Versa will admit to any relationship.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It would have been best to be upfront than to try to fool an entire community, AGAIN.
I don't know how i would react if i had known they were HiPi, but this is way worse.

Not just the bowls, they were also going to offer a hookah option. I knew about MW and Incognito but i never read their threads with much attention, but vtac is right. The wording is similar, and the demeanour subjacent to the words too.

I'm willing to bet that Leiana and HiPi are the same person. Even the slightly new-agey feeling of the avatar is similar to Leiana's first avatar.

It really is a shame, i had considered the Incognito but never did because it went awol. And both the MW and the Versa seem great products.

Now that i think of it, there is one adapter in the Versa video for bags that is remarkably similar to incognitos glass part!


I guess you're doomed to repeat the same mistakes until you learn your lesson.

Glad to see that FC has acted in the communities best interest again. It's saddening and disappointing, but I felt there was more to Versa than had met the eye. It was like the knew us from the start. It's really too bad, since these vapes looked really promising.

I'm having a hard time seeing how these two situations are alike. Enrico received flak over marketing more than anything, he does not have a demonstrated history of bad business practices.

I haven't decided what i'm going to do but since i haven't paid yet it is easier for me to do nothing.

I don't think anyone thought the girl was Leiana, although i thought the first blonde girl might be. It was never a certainty though.

Yeah, Sublimator was an entirely different kind of "hatred". That is just the FC skeptical vibe that i think it helps more than it hinders, although we have been know to scare away some manufacturers. ahaha.

I will keep my order. They have shown me enough. Even if they were Hipi why should I care? My MagicWand worked perfectly until I sold it last year. Did you notice how I used the word were instead of are up there?

Hmm if they are going by a new name are they not a new company? Should they not start at the ground level like they did? And build a reputation like they were doing? Everyone deserves a second chance. Just not at FC right?

I have heard more from Versa, but I am almost afraid to post for them as I don't want to be accused of being an astroturf persona or anything, but here goes:

They say they will update all customers about shipping tomorrow, I don't know if that means tracking codes, hopefully it does. They insist they are going to deliver everything they promised and will have more pics and video of their assembly process.

I replied to them and told them it's going to require beta users receiving product and reporting on its performance to salvage anything. I am still holding out hope this is not "vaporware" I can't believe I typed that. :rolleyes:

Two wands lasted two weeks each, then no reply from said joker. Maybe he is raising funds for another kid again. Sorry, but the bragging of that warranty with a heater that couldn't last a month then dropping all connections left a bad experience with prolly more than just myself.

I really did like my Incogito. I had a slight learning curve to find my perfect spot on the dial, but once I did, I was extremely happy. The design/shape/etc could of been refined, but how it performed, IMO, was great.
Funny story of its' death. Loaned out to my buddy for a trip he went on. Showed how to use it, blah, blah. We ripped a few sessions and off he went. He used it all weekend and it got the bowl part dirty. He called asked how to clean it. This is where being very descritive would of come in handy for me. I told him(thinking he understood the glass bowl) to rinse it out with iso, just like any other piece.By piece he assumed I meant glass bubbler or bong. So, he proceeds to dump alcohol inside the whole incognito, not just the glass bowl. Well, he lets it dry out, and THEN attempted to use it. YUCK. Could you imagine the taste of that bowl!
Gave me an Oz for it, so can't cry too bad.

I can see how people feel cheated/lied to/etc. I am not defending anyone. I don't know anything other than what's been posted here. Paypal will cover me IF there is true fraud occurring. Just wanted to post my :2c: on the old Hipi vape I had. I truly forgot about it until seeing it brought up now. Isn't even listed in my signature for vapes passed, but I do remember posting in the old thread. God, so many vapes ago that was.

Here's to hoping things work out for those who were in(whether refund or a solid product), it really felt like a winner.

Well I am sticking it out. I said it before, I have dropped $200 at a bar for a memory I can't remember and a very shity next day, but I can afford to think that way. So sending less then $200 to beta test a unit that looked very promising was no big deal for me. FC isn't here to protect me, but what about the folks that work hard for every fucking dollar, I would hate to think of the negative karma bill from Fing them, I think FC is just looking out for all of us. This is going to be an interesting ride.

I have also stated I don't do beta or pre order, this is why. It always goes ugly. TET it went ugly with the FC community, not the company.

FYI, PayPal claims have to be made within 45 days of purchase from the way I read it. If that's the route you take FC did a service for most I believe.

Tomorrow I need to read all these posts again and then re read this thread from the beginning and see if my spider senses pick up anything new I missed. To be honest I have deleted 4 posts about my impatience this last week because I thought I was being irrational, witch I am prone to, but I was very put off by the new beta announcement with no delivery date given to prior beta purchasers.

So I will wait patiently and when my clock hits zero I will manufacture this vape myself. Not sure who I am rooting for, lol.
