I'd just steer clear of the Carbed versions

Just to show there's always another opinion out there, I see no reason at all for this. After waiting a long time for the non carbed version to get back in stock, I got a carbed one. About four wraps of Teflon Plumbers Tape and I have never looked back.

Should I someday decide I want to mess with the carb hole, all I have to do is unwrap the tape.

@eyewhites at first I was the same as you. I was having to do 2 cycles to get through a load. I could probably have got more on a 3rd cycle but by that time Id had enough of sucking!

Now I do 1 session and a bit to finish a load. Is your solo still fairly new? I think the restricted airflow of a new unit slows things down

I've had it three months or so, the gong for two months, I primarily use it. Just gets a little tiring spending 25 mins vaping, the water pipe was a lot quicker, but smelled much worse and is just kinda disgusting now :(

Gentle cow vaper and halloween kiddo
sooo the F-Bomb arrived today in the mail... :D

Was a nice surprise upon coming home from work, expected shipping to take much longer, thanks to PV.

I immediately unpacked it and found it made a strong and sturdy appearance, not at all fragile.
Then washed it good to make sure it was clean, smelled a little of storage before.

Since it's my first such small water tool I found the filling up little awkward, as the splash guard is so small it holds a little water (2mm) back, probably due to the water surface tension

I started on a 4 and found the vapor nicely cooled and the drag being almost like an original stem.

I worked myself up to 6 and even 7 which I usually avoid was noticeably cooler and more pleasent to me for inhaling.
I tried to pull hard on it too and the splash guard worked good.

After this experiment I had to relax for a while because that beast really gave me a punch after one session whereas on my standard waterpath I usually take two ... :chill::zzz:

an hour and some later you find me writing this report and preparing the next 14mm PV standard gong :science:
I plan to report more soon-ish with some pics , for today off to more fun with the f-bomb :D

Nice review. I agree that filling it up is a little awkward, I do have the water being retained at the splash guard, and it takes a light drop to get the water level exactly where I want it.

Wow, I was looking for a water filtration thing, and even though that thing is $100, it looks small/portable and everything I wanted in it.

Might have to pick it up

Hmmm, no 14mm non-shorty GonG not in stock.

Is the shorty that much smaller? States 30% smaller that it would compromise huge cloud production? It would be better for conserving I suppose

mod note: Edit your post to add another comment. Two posts merged.

I like the F Bomb, but can't comment on it against the PWT since I've never seen one. IMO it's solidly built and functions well, although it's not perfectly aligned and there are a few scratches and other flaws inside if you look for them.

If you're buying it to look at, my personal one says this might not be a good call. If, OTOH you're buying it to use I think you'll be happy.

I like it better than the D9 Nibbler X I think, at least so far.

I also had no trouble filling it. After washing it out I put some water into it and sucked as hard as I could and spit out the excess. Since I can't pull that hard when there's a vape attached water returns out of the trap faster than it can fill now.

I haven't rigged up the Cera to it yet, but I bet Cera EO is a real treat with it.......

Recommended.

I just received it today however I'm pissed off as fuck about usps's postal service. I could've had my vape earlier.

My first thought was the electronic smell when I first heat it up out of the box. Have any of you experienced that and what did you do to get rid of the smell? I heard it is recommended by running it through a series of cycles by heating it to the maximum level for five minutes and then letting it cool off completely, then repeating. Does that work?

Other than that I love the science of vape, vaping is truly amazing.

Welcome to FC ironlungs ,
You can do an iso/q-tip wipe inside the heating chamber first , before heating up .
Also just keep heating at 7 , don't need to let it cool down . imo
The funky smell WILL go away .

Enjoy your new Solo .

Well I just pulled the trigger on the Solo. I have an EQ but I need something as a back up and also something I can bring out on the deck, etc. I was going to go for the Accent but with all that craziness I'll be good with this.

Then I guess I will be looking into the F-Bomb for the next purchase to go with it. I use the EQ with a water bong and it seems to help make the vapor smoother, would like the do the same thing with the Solo. Gads there is SO MUCH to figure out!

I have found that if I pick up the phone and call them, they set the phone down, holler across the room and then tell me the exact day they'll be listed in stock again.
Well I contacted via email and got the response I've been waiting for.
Have the F-Bomb and PVHEGonG High Efficiency GonG Turbo on my wish list to turn into an order tomorrow.
Anyone know any current discount codes? Is FCLOVE10 still good?
TIA

Thanks Dreamerr.
Any tips on cleaning the F-Bomb or this type of bong in general.
My first go at water.
if you clean it regularly you can just plug the bottom hole with a finger and top hole with your hand and just shake it with iso in it, rinse it out well and it should look like new. I usually clean my glass at least once a week this way. Another good idea is to rinse it out once a day. A little regular maintenance can prevent a headache of a mess later on.
