When the pn is heating up there is a slight smell around the mp, not a mj like smell but a bit like sourdough bread. i usualy keep my thumb over the mp when heating up.

As much as I love the bullets, I put a screen in the bottom of my heating chamber and I load directly into the chamber (like the original davinci). Doing this takes the pn to a whole new level! I suggest you other on users give this a try. You'll love the results!
Fucking bold! Are you getting hotter hits?
The heating chamber is stainless just like the bullets and with the screen in the bottom your material is no closer to anything than it is when it's in the bullet. Empty while hot and it falls right out and looks perfectly clean. Try it guys I swear you won't regret it. The only thing you lose is the novelty of having pre-packed bullets but, you gain a lot of vapor and it medicated even better than it already did!
I tried this last night, but I didn't even bother putting a screen in, I just crammed it full, let it rip on high, and it worked fantastic! Massive clouds . . . :ko: and I felt the level of medication was more satisfactory. I'm just going to keep using it this way. Thanks VaPeD&CoNfUsEd for the idea

Mine smells when heated that is how I know it is ready. I always wonder if we cork the mp will the heat that is forced inside the unit break it? The type of smell depends on the strain. Yesterday I had cheese in it and that taste gross and my kid said it smelled like mint. That is the first time he didn't say it smelled like weed. It also depends how clean the mouth piece is. Mine was fairly clean but it can never be perfect because of the screen and the residue around the side of it between it and the plastic. I am still afraid to take it out as all reported it is a bitch to get back in. I have also noticed an notch in the plastic by the screen so i am not sure if that is intentional or it chipped.

I also got only 1 bullet. I don't use the bullets though so it doesn't really matter to me.

What did you think of the vapor bar? Is your replacement up to your expectations?

You want the opposite. It's easy to confuse them, I know. It should be 14mm male to 18mm female.

:peace:
Right again Stu, you are usually right on with your knowledge so I shouldn't be surprised.

Thanks for the info. I have to say that my initial impression of FC after a few days of lurking and now participating is that it's a great bunch of folks here.
Welcome to the squad

In regards to the Anker, I have put it through four or five full cycles of charging and have had great results. With a fully charged unit and a fully charged Anker battery I can consistently get 18+ sessions.

I did run into a problem early on that you have to watch for. It has happened twice now that I plugged the Pinnacle into the Anker and the charging light came on. After having it plugged in for about 5 hours unplugged hit the button and flashing blue light. Plugged the unit direct to the wall and let it charge again and worked.

I noticed two things when this happened, first, both times I was plugged into the android port (the Anker has one "optimized for android" and one "optimized for apple" charging port), though I am not thinking that was the issue. Second, when I plugged it in the solid charging light came on (common on the Pinnacle for all you unlucky non-owners). Anytime the flashing charging light has come on when plugged in I have not had the problem.

I am thinking that if the Pinnacle trickle charges when the solid charging light is on (which engineering never confirmed or denied) it's possible that the Anker doesn't see enough load to charge. The Anker lights stay on as if charging and the pinnacle solid charging light stays lit though.

So I just make sure that I am plugged into the apple port and only plug it back in after more than 3 sessions and it has been working great.
I don't know why engineering has been absent, I'll see him on Monday and get him involved again. He's been busy working on our plug in unit (The Baker) I think.

Seems like a killer deal. It's the prospect of a Pro version coming out that has me holding off.

Pro is about 8 weeks away I think, but I'm knee deep in our new plug in so I'm preoccupied. I'm hurrying it along, but I'm also trying for perfection on the programming end so it's been a little slow. The programming is what will make this or break it.

Vapor bar was dope! Very nice people working there. The tube is well beyond my expectations, I use it for everything! It works badass as a mouthpiece for an ssv whip! Thanks trvb. Very much looking forward to the pro!

Well people, as some of you might recall I said there was a notch in my pong. It was so gross and smell I used the notch to take the screen out last night. Low and behold the pong is melting. This is very scary to me. Any of you have any ideas what else could have caused this. It isn't a break. Maybe these plastics aren't made for our needs. I haven't had this happen with any other vape. I am very concerned and I love this vape but it may be the end of this if there isn't a real good answer as it is a safety issue.

looks like its crumbling away. did u use iso on it? i remember some mp fogged up with iso and that may have an adherse effect when the mp heats up.

I used iso only on a qtip and not a lot as you can see it is stained on dirty. I only used it on the outside of that ring to make it able to come off the unit as it would get very sticky. If a smidge of iso that dries before I take a quick swap melts a mp then this unit is unsafe IMO. That is sad since I use it out as my primary unit.

Two more units are in the works from this company but that is a no go for me since they don't care about issues we reported months ago. They are still using the same materials. The iso I used wasn't even full strength as I just stuck a qtip in a iso jar that was soaking other stuff for a long time.

Edit: How can vaporblunt possibly say they can't repeat this when it isn't hard to have the cloud happen and now the melting or crumbling.

Space is the Place
I use at least 70% ISO on the MP on the palm 2 every few days and on the dome of the PalmV1 with no problem . Dreamerr that does look like A heat problem , that Sucks I know you like this little thing .

With the good reports from those filling the chamber with no bullet the PN was looking better to me .
Now I'll wait to see how this plays out .

Cloudy...
They know from long ago that there is some problem with the plastic they use but still refused to change it. They fogged the plastic or make black pongs so the problem wasn't as noticeable, no the way to treat vape users imo.

No and I only use the low setting. I more then likely run it through more sessions then others but pretty much only use it when I go out. If you read threads I am in I don't go out much so I agree this is a huge issue. I doubt it is the iso since I just give a quick wipe. It has to be heat and no my PN doesn't get that hot. I can hold it at the top with no issue after a full session. I was thinking of getting a back up now I won't no way no how unless this company finally addresses the issues. This is no longer a clouding problem which is just cosmetic.

First we have an issue with melted flavored tips that are still being sold with the PN and now the mp it self melts...lovely. I know lets just make two more products and not care about the ones we already made.

Buyer beware of anything you buy from this company unless they make this right by changing the materials and giving everyone a safe pong or mouthpiece to replace the poor material ones.

I guess I have to get off my ass and finish the vaporpedia page since this must be added with the buyer beware.

I have to agree with dreamer this is worrying TRVB ???

Agreed. Here are my facts.

1. I have sold thousands of units between 2.0 and pinnacle and I have never, ever seen a melted part other than flavored tips with pn.

2. We have never recreated the fogging issues.

Dreamerr, I understand your frustration. I would like to have your unit back for testing. I will replace it with a brand new pn or vb2.0.

Engineering speculated that the first batch of parts for PN were different from production when we were discussing the fogging issue. I am starting to think any of the pieces that fogged might be defective, but I have never, again I stress NEVER, had a complaint from GV, VW, VN or any of our retailers about fogging or melting mp's. Everyone who has ever complained of fogging was on FC, and we are talking about 3 or 4 out of thousands.

With that said, I'm very concerned and would like to examine your unit dreamerr.

Well I think before anyone does anything drastic we should wait to hear from TRVB to see if he is actually using the same materials in his Baker unit. He has not had the chance to respond and for all we know he has changed to using more durable materials.

EDIT: Well, that was fast.

I will PM you and ask for details TRVB but I also have a mp and two more pongs. Do you want to see those as well? They are unused but I certainly don't want to use something that will have the same issue.

I hope after testing you will post your results here to help us. TIA

Thank you for waiting for my response. I have shown numerous times that VB always stands behind its products. I have a team of very smart people. Without sounding cocky, I'd like to add that my engineering team has a resume that includes work in the medical field (that would be equipment for hospitals, not mmj). They are extremly over-qualified for vaporizer engineering, and I have never had a reason to doubt anything they have ever produced. As we all know, that doesn't really mean anything if shit is melting. All I can say is that I will look into this every which way I can, and I will have an update for you all on Monday afternoon.

V&C, I do not remember your fogging issue. Are you saying yours is melted? If I'm not mistaken you have only had yours for a couple of weeks? I am concerned about dreamerr's issue (not to say I'm not concerned about yours) because I would bet she has exceeded my own experiments of QC with the time she has owned the device. Meaning that my biggest fear after seeing those pictures is that somehow over time it has deteriorated either because of ISO or heat, both of which should be impossible. If you have a similar problem so soon I would be even more concerned than I already am. Please post pics at your earliest convienence.

What does TIA stand for? Yes, please send me everything you have so I can check its safety. I will replace it all. I'll arrange for ups to pic up if that's best for you at your house, or I'll credit u for your shipping cost. PM me and we will discuss

I don't think it is iso as I only use a qtip to get off the extra sticky stuff but your testing hopefully will tell us something. PM was sent so I can know what to do. I don't believe I have the original box but will have my caregiver look for it tomorrow.

My dog is going into surgery in the morning so that will take priority of course. It is only a tooth extraction cause she cracked it but she has to still have anesthesia and she is my service dog so tomorrow I am having a few service humans and no PN to use.

Hmmmmmmm what vape will I use so many to choose from but not my fav outside vape:cry: .
