Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

Not to bad mouth other companies, but everyone complains about D9V not giving clear directions. Well, I ordered the Thermovape Dart LV for my Omicron. (I got impatient for the nail cart)

I open the envelope to find my dart cart...thats is. no direction, no explaination, no clue how much to fill, how to clean, even how to hit it. you know the main things you should know. And not even a receipt in my envelope.

I know the dart is the equivalent to a cart and D9V's carts dont come with directions. But the LV dart is sold with intention of being used on any 3.7v. D9V does not recommend theirs for other batteries.(even though we know it works)

So to whoever was talking trash about D9V's minimal directions, be thankful you atleast got some kind of instruction on how to use it. Or even a receipt with a phone number you could call if you have issues.

Like i said not bad mouthing other companies cuz they both have their own great products, just saying D9V's instructions and Customer support are not as bad a you made it sound. We have to understand that there are so many variables that we can just have a clear instruction book for all.

D9V gives you the basic's and its up to us to perfect our technique. But atleast D9V gave us the brief 1 page starter manual.

Sorry for my rant. Time for a giant Dab to chill out

I really like this combo too but I found that the 4ohm carts burn out way faster than any other I've used. Even when using them at 6v rather than 7.4v.
I'm taking like 4 second hits with my 4 ohm so i should be good? i also let it cool a little between hits

Hey guys I have a question. I am getting close to pulling the trigger on an omicron 2.5, do they not have a black or silver option? what batteries should i use to maximize battery life? and what cool accessories are available as of now?

If you want the Black 2.5v you need to get the black v2 and the v2.5 top under the upgrade section.

OK time for a report.

ISO soaked reused cart starting leaking too bad for me. I believe it was my concentrate though. I will try again after I get new carts in the mail.

But for the Thermovape Dart LV. It doesnt give me the clouds I expected. I feel like I am wasting valuable concentrate waiting to get hits.

The first makes sense to me, I think once a cart starts to leak it tends to continue. I've fought several such only to give up, drain the concentrate and have no trouble with that same 'used' stuff in a new cart. In one case I put a gram in such a cart when it ran dry of a nice Sour Diesel wax I had that had never had an issue in several loadings. Leaked from the start (makes some sense, there was a bit of 'old oil' in there, but the entire gram eventually leaked out. I hope ISO fixes this, but I'd be surprised.

For sure DART takes a long preheat, way more than Omicron. However, I don't think anything is wasted, what little vapor is produced simply condenses nearby to evaporate again later. Nothing is destroyed (like in combustion), nothing escapes. If it didn't come out, it's still in there waiting your bidding.

I always find my lv dart clouds tasty and hard to hold in, lots of vapor, but then again I always loved my omi carts as well. I just prefer to use my dart one dab at a time, as to loading up a cart, or even a ti nail (I can't handle ti dabs) oil's rare for me so it just makes more sense now to put in bb's, and "load small and often" two fine products from two fine companies, what's right for who; depends on technique, use, and too many other variables to name. That's why I love these forums. Helped me out a lot.

while I like both carts. I still prefer the Omicron Carts over the Dart.

Clearly it comes down to personal preferences in the end. I go back and forth, and also stray into other vapes from time to time. Fortunately few of us are forced to choose one only. IMO a guy should do both. If you have a reasonable supply (able to handle 1.5 Ohm loads at 3.7 Volts) I think 'everyone' should by the appropriate adapter and the other type cart. It's cheap enough, IMO, and very nice to have available when you want to use a small amount, go for heavier hits, or test some new strain (advantage DART) or want to kick back and do 'no brainer' chain hits without reloading stops (advantage Omicron). DART is nice in that you can easily clean it out completely (or close enough to it for jazz....), then again it's also nice to have a couple of Omicron carts around loaded with 'favorite strains' for when the mood strikes.

No home is complete with just one.....

Where can I find some instructions for the dart? Use and cleaning.....
And as for testing output voltage from a battery with a multimeter, how do you test it with a load?
Where do I probe it?

As usual, Bob has an excellent suggestion. I'm not sure I'd start with that exact post, but there is an entire forum on the subject. Lots of fun stuff there for sure.

As to measuring under load you need to build some sort of fixture. Mine is very simple, a couple of thread adapters, a bit of wire and some solder. Wire loops soldered to the shell of the one that screws into the battery and the center pin where the cart screws in provide a spot to clip the meter leads to (so you don't need 4 hands.....). If you also want to measure load current (and I do...) you can solder a second adapter to the cart one (body to body) and a loop on it's center pin. Now you can clip your Ammeter between the to loops at that end.

Since the pins float, I glued them in place with hot melt glue (also good for strain relief on the few inch long wires between adapters). Worked fine until I got a little carried away measuring T1 currents a while ago and the glue melted..... Maybe epoxy next time?

You also need a loose adapter to deal with the 510/601 issue if you want to cover a lot of bases.

You could probably make a nice one from a normal cart body with an adapter or maybe even socket from Madvapes or something in the other end with leads brought out a hole in the side.....

I won't say that an Iso soak will fix an already leaking cart by any means, but it can give you a way to reclaim more of the oil inside, rather than just heating/dripping it out. Did your cart leak before the Iso soak?? So far my iso soaked 2.4 cart is holding up pretty good, no leaks, works just as it did before the soak.

I posted this video to a couple of local forums today... with a long rant about Delta9 products.
I did so because one guy had the balls to ask in the forum how I would use an Omicron when the Gpen is now available!
Omicron, O-Phos and Persei are not to be confused with or lumped in a category with Gpen, Trippy Stix and the plethera of other devices out there.
I show in this video that I can reproduce a pen like the Gpen, or Trippy Stix for 16 dollars.
My point here was that for 16 bucks I made a pen superior to these.... yet I still would rather use a Delta9 vape than this cheap ass one I made for this video!

I know its kinda been gone over already.

DOes anyone use the heat gun method for filling carts???
What heat gun are you using??
What temp works best for melting concentrates, without vaping it, burning it, or melting any seal???

I used my Makita HG on low and had major issues trying to keep the entire cart from heating.

JMHO, hold the bottom of the cart and slowly heat the funnel and top of the cart to get the oils flowing. If you can't hold on to the bottom of the cart with your bare hand, you are getting to close to hot.

Guys can I get feedback on taste?

What I'm looking for is when you load the cart how's the taste at first and when it's almost done.
