A tighter diameter air path will allow more airflow over the material. Too tight and your pulling to fast (Heating element cannot heat air that quickly), or too large and you have to pull that entire cavities worth of air (which means you waste most of your lung volume. When smoking your trying to fill the chamber by utilizing a syringe effect, in my experience with vaping (since the MiniVap needs constant pull) your trying to keep constant flow.

VapeXhale glass is designed with this in mind and that's why i choose them

I think this is why a piece the size of the Mobius Atom works so well as a vapor bub. There just isn't much to clear so it's more like a constant flow of conditioned vapor instead of filling a larger volume can and then clearing it. That makes it easier to gauge hit size too. And if you get a tickle in your throat, just stop hitting it...no need to clear a big can of vapor.

Of course, if a vaporizer has a heater with enough power to keep up with a fast hit (like the MV), it's hard to beat the satisfaction of a fast, hard rip through a bigger bubbler like the Mobius Ion or Clear!

I'm spending the weekend getting acquainted with my new MV, mating it with all my glass and testing configurations. Apparently I don't own a piece of glass it can't milk, even on blue!!

Little update about concentrate usage threw the MV:

- I tried sometimes the concentrates pad provided with the unit, taste is nice but you can hardly get a cloud and big effects...
- I tried kief alone and mixed with flowers, better mixed
- I tried shatter mixed with flowers with great success, you taste first the flowers and the shatter, clouds are not really bigger but the bowl last and last....one fully loaded big basket with a generous dab last me all the evening and leads me to the bed!

This unit never stop to surprise me!

One of my friend (he doesn't vape!) tried some of my vapes some weeks ago, like' lot of people he told me vapor was not for him but, with the MV, it is completly different cause experience is enjoyable on every aspects, but he doesn't plan to invest after to know the price!

if you can fight your way to top tier vapes you can make shatter? ((maybe))

is the concentrates pad generally useless then or just hard to get a fat hit? does it hit but not provide much visible vapor?

I think you could put pretty duff weed in this and still get really baked compared to what smoking would allow with the same material.

Make it yourself, I begun only with trim but since it's so enjoyable I turn flowers to shatter too, it's easiest to do than kief or bubble hash, and yield is higher!

Purge is not a too hard step if you don't extract more than 2gr, for bigger yield purge could be difficult to achieve without vacuum...

I lied - this doesn't cure G.A.S. If you look at their site, check out the Mobius Atom, the Ion's mod little brother. The Atom is now calling me, even though I doubt anything can beat this current combo!!

Like smknbud said, small volume bubbler is all that you want. Those big hog multi perc water pieces work best for combustion---not needed for vaping, especially with the quality of vapor the miniVAP puts out.
But the vapor is dry, no doubt, so a little water moisturizing is great.

Stopped shop looking at glass because everything I liked was $$$$$.....that Mobius Atom has peaked my interest again. Thanks

@MinnBobber the truth is the ion does strip a good bit of flavor. The matrix perc has over 150 points of diffusion. That's not good for the taste aspect of vapor. I suggest getting something with a showerhead. I have the jhan pixel sidecar and the flavor is great. That's around 16 points of diffusion compared 150. Big difference there.

Yes! It was the weirdest thing. My fingers where close to the buttons but did not press. It's been really dry in my place and I was sitting on a cheap plastic chair (that thing is getting replaced asap).

Here's the Perc on my Smoke Shower.. The actual perc is Toro made.. I picked this up as my first semi expensive glass to be used exclusively with vaping. So mines has seen countless hits via Arizer EQ, Vapocane, the Solo and last but as we know in absolutely no way least the Minivap..

Glad you posted this and beat me to it. While I loved my ion, I wouldn't buy it again for vaping because it stripped too much flavor out for me.

I am hoping that I don't need some glass. I realize that everyone has different conditions (medically, some might need it diffused and smoother), but i will sacrifice a little scratchiness for pure taste. If you think of price, it justifies my purchase for this vaporizer when compared to those who drink alcohol. Some of my friends by $500 wine because they taste the intricacies. The minivap is my investment for those same intricacies (of course you need good hydro)

Damn, I got no setup going!

I'm running stock right now. Large basket dropped in. Flexicone with screen through the lid with the plastic mouthpiece.

Yes I'm sure there are better setups which I've seen here and intend to modify but I just haven't had time to research/purchase the supplies.

Taking a full battery off the charge. Bump it to green and let it warm for at least five minutes (after the light stops blinking) and great taste by no vapor. Bump it to red and just barely whispy vapor.

I just got my silver unit from Vapor Nation and had the exact same experience as you during my first session. But when I let it heat up 10 minutes and used the small basket, I started getting large, milky hits on green.

Can't take credit for that. Not my video or the bubbler I use. Mines a Jhanpixel bubbler, but it's the twelve arm dewar seal joint model.

It shouldn't be that responsive to static shocks IMO and worried much worse could happen if more static was built up.

Do we have photos of a cracked open miniVAP?

I still want to join team miniVAP but the darn thing has so many quirks for the price tag.

I just got my silver unit from Vapor Nation and had the exact same experience as you during my first session. But when I let it heat up 10 minutes and used the small basket, I started getting large, milky hits on green.

Let it heat to Red for 10 minutes, then bring it down the to temp you want. Sometimes if you over pack you end up getting little air pathways forming, ruining whats supposed to be even airflow across all material. You also have to remember that the upper chamber must be heated as well, so long 10+second hits at maybe 80% lung pull capacity should do.

-Grind material fine but not powder (The grind is immensely important on the MiniVap)
-pack full bowl but still "springy" to the touch (where you feel you could get another pinch in if you wanted)
-Long consistent pulls (which is really hard without a water piece)
-Preheat vape on red


Sometimes mine will say its at temperature, when its really not. I can tell by pulling, and seeing if its uncomfortable to the lips. If the MiniVap lied, unscrew the battery, re-screw, let it reheat.

The red and green models do look lovely.. Never seen a red for sale.

And grind is a funny one imo. Every strain is different, as well as length of session/desired cloudage.. A whole host of variables.

I love the silver. I waited an extra week for the silver (still waiting for DHL). They said black was available, but i need to wait an extra week for silver. I said SURE. Can those who own it show us new owners some milky hits for encouragement during waiting period? Show us things that only minivap can do?

I think I was driving and sipping on this with the tube, cops will probably think it's a coffee thermos (stated earlier)

I don't drive, but would be seriously reluctant to do so if I was under the influence of the MV..
I could hit my solo all day long and function, but I believe the popcorn taste of anything but the first hit or two would always see me discarding viable material.
Now the MVs delivery of constant unpopcorny(that's a word, right?) taste leads me to full extraction and therefore full effects. In short I end up too effed up to function beyond a certain level if I have a basket too many. Sent myself on a whitey the other day .. Silly boy and his 'just one last basket'.. ohh oh.. .. That wasn't a fun one man party .. I did get basketed up and went for a half marathon the other morning. Fighting in May or sooner so gotta get that cardiovascular rocking once more..

I've read this thread from begin to end. This one is a first. No one else has experienced it here on FC in four years the Mini has been out. File it under 'flukes' like I am.
