nice lwien...so you are using about two PD stems worth, and it lasts you two days then, yes? I just popped abut half what I put in the Cloud for today's first session. Got it sitting with a bubbler I just got and can't wait for the warm up. I need to figure out how many PD stems one of my scoops is.

deadshort...my cloud lasted more than a year with no problems. I started doing the dab method where you turn it all the way up and hoover it. That killed it on about the fourth try where I left it on high for a while and walked off. I'll get the EVO when things get going. But for now, it's LSV time, baby!

I dig it with my bubbler. Whitewalled that sucker pretty quickly and it's a decent size can. I went with one scoop and got a good punch. Then I loosely packed a PD stem and blew it in the wpa and laughed at how it didn't even cover the bottom of the screen. I hit it anyhow and got a great hit equal to a PD hit with it...fuck yeah!

I haven't driven around town dying to hit a specific rig in a long time, but that was me 20 minutes ago!

you're getting your stuff pretty well spent by the end of day two, aren't you. does it end up pretty dark? mine is still plenty light, even specs of green. I want to get it darker, but I don't want to go too high on it...I'm at about 2:30 now.

First hit..........still golden brown with speck of green
Second hit......still golden brown but a tad darker with speck of green
Third hit.........darker brown......no specks of green
Fourth hit after finger crumbling........dark uniform brown

All of the above with temp set at between 1:30 and 2:00. Don't know how yours is calibrated though, be it the dial setting or how much of the heating element has been pulled out or pushed in.

HI mod? What's that? On a stock LSV, I'm getting 5 hits from 0.05 gr. with the first two being literal monsters. What is this HI mod you speak of and will it do better than what I am currently doing?

Alan posted pics of his modified "HISaber" (of course I can't find it now) it's not a mod for someone with no experience...he pretty much re-built his LSV with HI parts. It's pretty badass!!

Wouldn't that be like trying to mod my LSV to operate like my old PD. Why would I want to do that?

If I wanted to do that, I would have just kept my PD.

No one said you wanted to do that. Sticks asked about conserving, I mentioned the HI mod, you asked about it, I posted the link, and here we are. :cheers:

Alan did note that he could use much lower dial settings with the mod. Anyone interested in a much wider temp range or not running their LSV with a cranked up knob may be interested.

I'm not quite sure I understand. With the stock LSV, you can go from just about nothing all the way up to combustion temps. How would his mod give a wider temp range?

I'm just trying to understand the need for it Dead.

Oh, I don't see the need for it at all. The only thing I can imagine is using it for extremely low temps with a very very small load. I know that mine clicks on at 7 o'clock, will start toasting for taste and very light vapor at just about 10 o'clock, gives me exactly what I want for flowers at 11 o'clock, and hash at 11:30. Once I get up to and past 12 o'clock on my dial I am chancing combustion. Before 10 o'clock, I get nothing. Perhaps this HI mod is offering something before that 10 o'clock setting? Perhaps the mod keeps the entire unit running much cooler or increases the life of the unit? Maybe Alan just wanted to show it can be done?

Of course I;m doing my duty as a prospective vape customer and while I'm considering this I'm still working my way up things I can't imagine wouldn't be answered later, but can you do concentrates out of it, or at least do a dense pack weed/hash/weed sandwich without worry?

I've never own a vape like the Life Saber, mainly I'm just hoping to not use an Arizer Solo as my main boning device. I love it a bunch, but there's no question you're asking the most of it by vapebonging with one. Usually a couple flowly fillled packed chambers is what i mean before wispy.

I suffer from an illness called "Modifydis". I have to modify everything. I mainly wanted to show that it could be done, but I also wanted to make what I think is the most versatile vaporizer possible. The glass heater cover slides right over the ss heater cover so it still works with the original glassware. I find that 3/8" / 10mm ID roasting bowls hold just the right amount of herb for me and the modification allows me to use that size roasting bowl. It will also accept the 5/16" ss roasting tips that have a 1/4" ID roasting bowl for greater conservation. The temperature control allows for very precise roasting temps and it can go very low for full flavor. Anything over 12 is not going to taste very good or cause combustion so there is never a lack of power. I have never seen anything fill a Vapor Lung like the HILSV roasting a dirty hemp filter. The heat just never stops. You can get complete and total extraction if you desire.
It is the stand that keeps the unit so cool since it is always vertical. The hot air rising around the heater tube draws cool air in from the holes in the side. It keeps the whole unit very cool. I leave mine running 24/7 even though I wouldn't need to since it heats up in 1 minute (no glass cover). It is a permanent fixture on my coffee table.

Just bought myself a lifesabervaporizer , Man this is so much better then my last vape (vapo bowl) I get ripped in one bowl its so efficient , big thanks to iwien opened my eyes to vaporization x) , saw him on grasscity as well I think , but I would not of known of the lsv if not for him. Do you guys think this vaporizer is worth it without a bong?

I broke mine the same day I got my lsv and ive been dry hitting it and I get this crazy huge clouds , does the bong just make it smoother or give more of a headrush ? Im curious , because Id like to buy the bong adapter sucks it never came with it . saved quite alot of bud with this machine and Im looking at all the wandhash being stuck in the glass stem its fun seeing it get resinated so fast. :D

Yes it is worth it dry. But it really shines thru water.
