I find using the LSV with transfer wand to be similar to smoking a joint, not sure why, think it may be the the thin, reasonably hot stream of vapor this type of design incorporates. As mentioned above, hook it up to a nice piece of glass, and it will show it's true colours!

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Today marks my one year anniversary with the LSV. Still running like a champ, and it's still my daily driver.

If I could change anything, it would have been to get it sooner. My wife credits it with helping her completely quit smoking, and it has also converted 3 friends to vaping as well.

Cheers

How much can you pack in one of these? I like my Solo for using it out of a bong but there are two things I hate about it: having to wait so long between hits to get not wispy chambers, and how small the pack size is. I find myself doing 4 or 5 bowls in a row to get anywhere near where I need to be. Can you pack a lot more in the LSV?

It depends on what your using. The best part is its compatible with so many 18mm adapters you can use screens to make whatever size bowl you want. Though a shorty wpa half full is more than plenty IMO, if it's just you, you might only want to cover the screen. Any way it's an awesome vape!!!

Wait I had no idea you could fit different size bowls in this thing. I was assuming it was like the Solo where there's only like one size bowl that fits in it.

So uh..... what's the biggest bowl anyone's fit in one of these?

I'm also curious about these HI heater upgrades. Isnt the heater that comes in the LSV the same as DBV and SSV? Maybe I should just wait for Alan to call my name of the HI waiting chart?

I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

LSV will solve all your problems. It comes standard with a large bowl and as SSY said you can make others just by adjusting the screen. No wait on reheat time and can be shared with others/mated with a water piece very easily.

@exit If you've already got an LSV I'd recommend using a 18-18 male adapter and just stir between hits as this will save you a fair amount of cash. Whereas if you're about to order the LSV then I'd say get the WPA as it's only a few bucks extra when ordered together(at least that was the deal when I ordered a while ago). I like the shorty WPA as IMO it gives me the option of loading enough for a few people or just myself, some people have had to modify the longer WPA to make the screen sit higher to get it to produce thick enough clouds.

As @deadheadbill said the unit retains heat very well during use, especially if you give it a few extra minutes warm up time after turning it on(I usually wait 5-10 minutes after turning the switch).

I haven't got a DBV or SSV but from what I've heard the heating element in the LSV is very similar to those units you've mentioned.

Edit: As people have mentioned before it may be worth holding out till Black Friday to purchase an LSV as 7th floor may be offering a discount then.

This Friday?

What is the date for Black Friday?

LSV seems to be a heavy hitter!

18mm water adapter?
Shorty?

Black Friday is on November the 29th this year.

Sorry about the abbreviations. The LSV heater cover has an 18mm female joint on the inside and a male spherical joint(the ball in a ball and socket joint) on the outside. As is shown here:

ZK5YKah.jpg

This means it can mate with either a female spherical joint(socket in a ball and socket joint) or an 19mm male joint. The LSV WPA(water pipe adapter) has a female spherical joint at one end and either a 19mm or 14mm male at the other which fits into your water pipe. The short or shorty version is shown below(my personal preference as it keeps the herb nice and close to the heater).

Since the LSV has a hot spot in the middle most people "swirl" the LSV in the socket to distribute the heat more evenly through the load. I'll look for a video to demonstrate this.

Alternatively you can use an 18-18 male adapter(or 18-14 if your water pipe is 14mm) and stir the load between hits using the provided pick. Stirring is still recommended with the WPA but isn't required to be done as frequently.

The 18-18 male adapter is shown above and the 18-14 male adapter is shown below.

It's also worth noting that one of these adapters would be needed to use the LSV with a hydratube/watertool, which one depends on the size of the fitting.

@Vitolo Do you use the 14mm at the LSV end to get the heater closer to the load or is your water pipe 14mm?

Edit: Here is a video I found of the famous LSV "swirl" in action, courtesy of @ilovebOObs.

2nd Edit: Please note I have used 18mm and 19mm interchangeably as in both cases I am referring to the standard 18.8mm GonG size.

My shorty is not that short and I don't have the long either. I must have the ever elusive medium wpa! Lol! Will measure and be back with results in a minute.

Edit: It is a shade over 2 3/4" in total length, the top half rounded portion where the lsv rests is a shade under .5", and the actual bowl portion (under the half rounded portion and above the gg joint) is almost an inch. It's a 14mm wpa from vapornation....

It funny you should say that because although I don't have mine in front of me I don't remember it being that short either. I just got the picture from the 7th Floor website so maybe they changed the design at some point.

Most of my water tools are 18mm.
So I will order the 18mm water adapter (SHORTY) first.
Then I get the 14mm a month later.

The Day after TURKEY I will place my order for my first HEAVY HITTER!

Richy you and Vitolo sold me.

I need to add this to the line up!

Sweet! This thread is about to become picturesque with ataxian in the fold!!!
I had some GIRL SCOUT COOKIES mix with FULL MELT (DOG SHIT) that put me in a coma at 3PM for a 2 1/2 hours of deep sleep.

This LSV is going to be electrifying!
DUTCH TREAT, ASIAN HAZE, PINK CITRUS, PAPAYA, GSC, GDP!

Were going off road and abusing this unit!

I might have to get a new camera?

If you don't mind using an adapter you could always get the 14mm shorty and a low pro reducer like the one below but I know some people find these sorts of solutions a bit ugly. Also there's nothing wrong with having a spare I guess.

There is an LSV in classifieds on here being sold for $140 including shipping in the US by a member on here. Unfortunately it appears to come with two of the normal longer size water pipe adapters but I believe people have had success in placing the screen higher in them which effectively makes them like the short ones. It also comes with a wand but since he reduced the price it no longer comes with the 18-18 male adapter in the picture. It's on the third page of the classifieds if you're interested, I'd include a link but I not sure what the rules are on linking to classifieds in the thread. I'm guessing the warranty doesn't transfer but you'd have to ask 7th Floor for the specifics on that.

With all that sweet goodness you plan on putting though that LSV you may end up making some serious vapor porn. Speaking of which, here's another video courtesy of @ilovebOObs that was posted a while ago but I think it might just get you in the mood so I'll re-post it.

I think I will get a new one?
I have glass fittings.
The cord is black so the unit needs to be all black.
Too bad the cord wasn't red!

ataxian's gonna love this thing. I spent all day yesterday letting it milk up my bubbler and got some choking hits! It works well enough with very small loads that I can use it to both punch me in the face with a big load and then keep me there with smaller stabilizing sessions.
