what is ICEPAY? and why do they make you work with this kind of cumbersome stuff... isnt paypal or mastercard enough? i made an order yesterday on sublimator.ca and the end result seems to be I have to send a manual check to canada? jezus wasnt there yet or?...
then it says in payement they accept mastercard or visa..? but i can only select icepay... which makes me register somewhere and that i really dont like to do...
cumbersome to say the least... i jsut wanted to buy something from sublimator.ca but...
webdesigner? get your shit together.. plz ty

EDIT: maybe i was out of line a little bit up there.. sry.. hot weather combination and some other issues.. I am sorry for that. But really try to fix the website it is kinda weird to work with.. errors along the line and such :s

You were the guy that bought it from Fresh Headies, no?

Nope I contacted enrico in mid-late may and was eventually sent the product directly from them. I was referred to fresh headies to look at the product i was supposed to receive as there were not ANY advertisements anywhere for the product I was to receive, every site only displayed the stainless steel sublimator kit. When I purchased the product I did it solely based off of images and referrals from sublimator.ca

Planetvape told me adapt a bong will be in back in stock next week and will have a timer!!!

If this thing takes 20-30 minutes to reach "optimal temperature" who the hell would want a timer?

With my luck i'd take my first hit at 30 minutes then sit back and forget about it. By the time I remember what planet I'm on an hour has gone by and it auto-shut off. Now i'd have to sit another 30 minutes just to take a second hit.

Hopefully the timer has a 48 hour shut off option!

I'd rather take a digital temp display or how about a few dots on the temp knob?

The problem with the dots on a temp knob idea is that the temperature varies with regards to atmospheric conditions.

I find when it is warmer outside, I can set the dial a little lower to hit my 'sweet spot' than when it is colder.

Perhaps that is just me?

Personally, without the energy meter, I would never be able to hone in on the spot I'm looking for with any degree of accuracy.

yeah, there is nothing insulating the metal from ambient temp, so I found if I turn on my fan, I have to turn up my voltage a smidge to compensate for the moving air pulling the heat away. I had thought about putting a small section of that high temp safe silicone over the lower portion of the cone part of the atomizer (above the handle) to insulate it and make a possible burn guard... haven't tried it yet though...

I want to see a better power cord. I think for the price, the brown cord is too cheap. I'd also like a better temp control, especially one that does not move when accidentally bumped.
Lol I love your hate for brown cords!
I bet you wouldn't care about the cord if it was black.......temp control could use some refinement though.

It could be red, purple, black...I would feel the same. For $500, it's not the best cord they could of chosen IMO. These sorts of details matter in a premium device as far as I am concerned.

I consider this to be more of a proof of concept device than anything at this point. It has a long way to go until all of the rough edges are smoothed out and it becomes an option for the mere mortals. But it demonstrates the principals of Enrico's design very well and proves it's worth.

I don't think it was intended to be a "premium vape" so to speak just yet. I imagine they cost the price they do because they are being produced on a small scale with extremely expensive materials. I'm kind of getting the impression that Enrico never expected the sublimator to take off as hard and fast as it hits.

Either way, I'm hoping he's working on a more ergonomic and user friendly set up because this thing really does rock.

^^ My sentiments too. I find it so efficient that I don't even want to reach for anything else. I'm now used to that 1 dose and walk away for a few hours hit. The hits are so strong IMO, that for me, back to back hits are not needed or even wanted. Yeah it takes some extra thinking and care to use the Sub but for me this is the heaviest hitter in my line up. Now when I want to just chill and enjoy the flavor at a pace of my choosing, I reach for a log or the Cloud. Honestly I haven't touched another vape in about 2 weeks....not even a portable. I entertained pulling out the Cano for a session but it never made it out of the stable...

That sounds like a great idea! Let us know if you give it a shot.
Next time I have to give the atomizer a clean up, I'll try to remember to pop a bit of that tubing on there before it goes back together, and of course I'll post pix + details, and let you know if it works out good.

I did an iso wash on the cloud buddy and let that evaporate over the last few days. Sampled it a few mins ago and it was definitely the smooth and good tasting.

jam...you didn't just scoop some out of the bottom of the buddy?

I just got subbed! Got her back this morning and, man, does that fucker hit! The cerebral effects I get are more intense and last longer than other vapes I have and I love it. You know how when you get a new vape it kicks your ass at first? I think it is because every vape has its own unique signature in how much conduction, convection and radiation is going on and they yield slightly different effects. I think I notice that I get a vaporizer-model-tolerance sometimes and I need to mix it up. That's why I think the Cloud/Sub combo will be the shit. And if I'm right about the vape signature, then the Sub has a truly unique one that I find very enjoyable.

I got this set of tiny SS measuring spoons for loading the Sub. I found the one that says "pinch" is exactly one hit sized load for me, so I am not overloading each time around, and can clear the load in one hit. There is one larger than that size that holds a bit more, and a couple of smaller ones I find good for loading loose bubble hash and dry sift. I just found them cute, and useful for controlling my consumption a bit. Plus I am less likely to burn my fingers from loading the bowl with bare hand using these.

These spoons should be offered as standard equipment with the Sub! Just got mine and they are perfect! No more burnt fingers or spilled herbals.... And precise dosing! Thanks!

Totally agree with that statement! It is a noticeably different effect....in a good way!
