Discontinued The Sublimator

That is a cool piece but I'm also stumped why they bothered with the perc? Hoping the adapt bong reclaimer is still in the works also.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!

As am I !!

I must have misunderstood PV, as I thought it was to become available last week, and a whip tube rig sometime early Aug (really don't feel like messing around with some kind of silicone plug rigged with a whip tip to get what I want from the sub).

New Proto-type Sublimator Bong from PV! I love that sturdy base and reclaim catcher!

I like the way Enrico starts off by saying ,
" today is the best day of my life ..."
Every day's the best day of his life !
We see what he does on a daily basis , somewhat . ( So Jealous )

Anyhoo ,
I didn't see this question answered , so please help with my decision .

Did anyone get the $ 750 Sub Kit ?
or
Just the Adapt a Bong for $ 500 ?
The ONLY difference is that plastic tube and stand for the tube , correct ?

Stickstones, I see you switched your daily driver from the cloud to the sub and now back to the cloud. Why is the cloud better for you?

mvapes has my Sub at the moment. I was using the Sub for a week straight when I gave the Cloud a run and stayed with it, then I loaned the Sub to mvapes. I'll start using it again later this week and get the reclaim process going again. If I could only pick one, it would be the Cloud due to the fact that I am a flowers only guy at the moment and it's just easier to use. Luckily I don't have to and I am already missing the Sub.

In the end I anticipate having a pretty even rotation between the two...I like mixing it up to keep my system on its toes and a Cloud/Sub combo is pretty awesome for that purpose. What I really like about this is that the Sub works best off one scoop, which keeps me being conservative. I had gotten in the habit of putting two to three scoops in the Cloud and went back to one just to compare. It works fine at that level, and the Sub will keep me from drifting into using too much. I also am using both devices with their own setups. The Cloud gets an HT and the Sub gets my ghetto rig, but both are being used as intended. Anyone who has multiple vapes has experienced the slightly different highs you can get (or at least what it can do to protect tolerance levels), and I got to experience that again using the HI the other day. I'm fortunate enough to have multiple heavy hitters that I now plan to use more frequently in a more even rotation....it's a good time to be a vaporist!

I'm pretty sure that's what I was told on the phone when I spoke to them about ten days ago - not sure what happened to just the reclaimer.

As far as tolerance goes - I don't feel the Sub has changed my overall tolerance so far - I still get a very nice buzz over a 1/4 teaspoon's worth of a scoop - if I choose to put in a couple more scoops in a short period, I just end up with more of a head buzz that's longer lasting...

Anyone else agree? Or is there someone out there (barring Brayden who has already expressed his views regarding tolerance) who feels that the Sub has resulted in their overall tolerance to flowers increasing?

I think there is some confusion here, it seems to me that the reclaimer is still in the works, and that vid that was posted was a teaser for the prototype of the dry hit glass piece. I would expect that PV is on track with the reclaimer, and this is just another addition heading our way in the near future.

I just watched that latest video for the sub tube. I think enrico said it was a dry tube. maybe the perc is there so it can double as a regular pipe for your other pieces, which is a nice feature.

so I have been thinking about this new dry bong from pv and how we could use it with water if we still wanted too. I understand that this thing was designed to be used as a dry tube. yes i get it... but I just feel it should have the functionality of being used as a water bong too if we wanted too.

but if we put water in it as it is. the reclaim container would be underwater.(for me at least that's no good) that said, if you used the pv bong, with the pv reclaim device that is also in the works. then your sublimate reclaim would get to stay dry. clever double sale on pv's part if that is the plan... but all in one from the get go is way better in my books. less extension and risk of breaking joints/glass.

I have a bong that stands 18 inches tall and it's a bitch to get in a backpack to transport around easily... if the new pv bong was a tad smaller. "I would be sooo happy" (south park/reddit reference for you)

I hope the upgrade to the glass tube setup is affordable. Sad monkey if it ends up being too costly

Hmm...can't u just pick any other bong that is not for dry use?

The solution to that problem would be for PV to include at least 2 of those reclaimer pieces. Then when you want to use it with water you just swap them out?

yeah, I noticed that dry tube just won't work for water the way it's built, you'd have to fill it pretty high to reach that perc. and not sure how water tight that reclaim connect would be, good point on the fact that there are plenty of water pieces to choose from out there already...but none with the built in reclaim I suppose. I'm not too worried myself, not really looking for a tube right now, I just got sucked into the discussion. :p I need funds to start flowing again before I can start looking at more big glass pieces.

Nice to see that the built in reclaimer tube is well received. We made that piece with a very tight deadline and couldn't add the extra piece in time to allow for water use and the carb. Production versions will work both wet and dry, hence the inline diffusor. It was made to showcase what we think is a world first tube with a built-in reclaimer and carb.

The separate product SubBuddy reclaimer is on prototype number 3 already, incorporating the changes requested from this thread and should be ready very soon.

International versions of the Apollo will be ready closer to the end of July.

Our shutterbug has had a bit of r and r, but we should have some new photos and stock of the special edition kit very soon, sorry for the delay.

I hope you're wrong. I saw a video where Enrico personally talks about what the contest is a loosely describes the rules. I followed his instructions took time and entered his contest, I want a chance to win one.

When the contest is launched, it will be announced in the contest section.

Hey what happened to the contest to win one? Did anyone else ever make a video?

We were trying to get Enrico to clarify the rules but he so far hasn't responded. He never set a closing date, for example. Right now, Enrico was last active June 21, so perhaps he's forgotten about us.

As Tweek says, when (if?) it becomes official then we'll announce it.
