This stuff is mighty cool, in case you hadn't noticed? Much too good not to share.

Most likely I'm preaching to the choir.
However I find you ("OF") to know more than most so I learn from you as well as many others on this site!

I buy Kief.
OR:
If it's hard to obtain just take a gram of flowers and fine grind it in a coffee grinder.
The OIL needs something to adsorb to stay together.
I have difficulty sleeping so a .125Gram of a PELLET in a HERCULES fitted to a PERSEI @ 7.4V and I can't count sheep!
COMA!

Can I ask you guys trashing carts with 'sticky stuff' a favor? Please run a foil test and let us know if that predicts fouling?

TIA

OF

I always do the foil test - the problem is that when this stuff gets back to room temp, it's like a rock!

Passes the foil test, but is rock hard at room temperature?

Interesting.....I wonder if the wicks between the reservoir heater and the furnace heat too slowly......

Thanks.

That was my thinking. I've been able to get good hits out of them for a little while after giving it a quick heat-up with a torch, so I assumed the oil was just some stuff that is a little much for those little heaters to handle melting.

I have a cart filled with SHATTER that chrysalises so I give is a quick warm up with my lighter torch before medication.

Torch cart to warm up then Hold the button down for 5 seconds let go then hold down again and vape away!
Unless it's a different situation?

I could see this being partly the case, but not entirely. In my (short 2 month) experience so far with 2.4's in the Omi v2.5 and almost exclusively shatter, I've come to find similar issues. Vertical storage is a must - the vapor can get pretty thin otherwise. A light gentle torching once or twice seems to do the trick though, leading back to more dense clouds. Yet another reference to OF's mantra about proper loading, since it won't feed right if it's not in the proper place - rendering your technique, cart resistance, or battery charge irrelevant. In fact I've noticed the cart seems to get hot to the touch quickly when it gets around .3 or lower, and doesn't hit as well either. Could be placebo but maybe shatter needs more to feed?

Since my last post I made a nice 9g personal batch of shatter, and since getting the Omi it made me think more about the purging process to eliminate any alcohol / water residue that may gum the carts up faster. The shatter is darker as a result of low & controlled heating, but it hits smoother than the last lighter batch. After pouring nearly boiling water into a dish under a glass pan of shatter a la double boiler, and lots of poking around with a razor blade, it slowly starts to liquefy. At room temp it is a crystal that will maintain shape like a vinyl record lol.

My point is that it's solid at even elevated temperatures and takes a bit to melt, but that's also because it was winterized and filtered properly. My first batch of shatter was not winterized, and it would settle into a blob after leaving it to rest for a day at room temp from the remaining plant waxes. I can see why people would recommend 1.5's for shatter because of its hardness, and although I have yet to load and try my 1.5 I've had no problem pulling hits out of the 2.4's that make me cough when loaded properly.

Also thanks Drum for the noob toobs! They will make for a fun weekend for sure...

Hey FF ,
I've also noticed that too .
The fuller the cart , the denser the vapors .
I've found for my own optimal usage is to have the carts filled between 0.5 to 0.9 g .
Once it gets down below 0.4 , the vapors are a bit wispy .
At first , I thought it was b/c of low battery power , but not the case . ime

Also , I've been using budda/wax made with the CO2 method .
So far , I'm liking it better than the butane purged type .
I was told , it was a cleaner method of producing budda .

Anyone else have any thoughts or experience with CO2 budda ?
and
What are 1701 's ? Do I need an adapter to use it on my Omicron Light ? ( or refer me to post )

Just received my Omicron 2.5 today and I loved it while it worked. I filled my cart with about .5g CO2 Concentrate which was quite viscous.

That went well until it stopped working. I don't know if it was because I didn't charge the batteries enough. We were pretty impatient. I went back and forth between the Cartomizer and Concentrate. Both were awesome and very efficient.

How does a common charge cycle work? Do the batteries have to be full before anything works? It blinks three times and then nothing happens.

Remove cartridge, is it still blinking?

What color is it blinking?

Did you charge the batteries before using it,

Did you read the instruction manual?

Is the batter in the correct direction?

What color is it blinking? It blinked 3 times blue

Did you charge the batteries before using it? I charged it for a few hours

Did you read the instruction manual? Yes

Is the batter in the correct direction? Yes

One battery never blinked blue and one worked for a while.

Hmm can you tell me where you got the device from? And also if can give me a rough estimate not exact serial number.

Example 52xx

Also seems like a battery issue.

Contact support have your receipt ready and we will replace both cells.

Some units sit longer in warehouse and might have dead batteries. We are trying to fix this issue but its not a priority right now because of the less then 0.1% failure rate.

I got it from delta9vapes.com. I see a sticker on the box that has HVD137XX

Would be great if we can confirm a battery problem and have them replaced.

So I put the battery back in a few minutes ago. I have been clicking it and holding it a bunch. It finally started to work again. Not sure what it could be..

What size and color are your batteries? What ohm cartridge are you using?

You sure you didnt click it 5 times to turn it off at first?

I have red 14650 1000mAh 3.7v batteries.
It seems one is dead, even if charged for a while. The other one works.

Hmm it seems like a compilation if issues.

Bad battery and accidently turning t off, but when clicking rapidly you turned it back on.

When screwing in the battery that works, it blinks three times. However, the dead battery doesn't, even if it is unlocked.

That's battery check. If that's when it blinks then that's normal that checks to see battery is correctly inserted. The you have to click it 5 times and it will turn on.

The nerve they have...
"orders have to be placed on the website.. Alsow batteries are not under any warranty whatsoever."

This is for tracking, and with lots of fraud going on with credit cards our credit card processing companies fix that.

Also Batteries are warrantied for 14 days if im not mistaken.

I asked if they could send the batteries and some other stuff I needed, to save a shipment.

I saw the warranty on the individual batteries and I will call stating this.

I didn't even receive tracking for the original order, it was only marked shipped.

Great gave them a call and the best they could do was $20 store credit for some more batteries. I'll take it. Works for me. :)
