Start really slow. It's easier to get vapor going slow than fast. Eventually you can ramp up the speed and find your sweet spot. My first night with a good vape was a disaster, so don't get discouraged! You have a great vape in your hands.

I'm using the wand, I'll check the heating element in a little bit. I packed one bowl and it some of the bud was really dark but half of it was green, then the next bowl it was a sorta light brown and mixed with green too. Its hard to explain the exact color so dont misinterpret it. I'll just keep trying with it I guess, do you guys turn it on 12 right away and let it warm up for a bit before hitting it?

I turn it up to my desired temp and let it sit for about five to ten minutes before use. Stirring is key. Take that stirring tool they gave you and stir the bowl every hit or other hit.

Elevate somewhere on this thread is a video of Vitolo hitting the LSV with a wand. Gives a really good idea of the draw speed. I'd find it for you but I'm at work on my phone. But now that I've mentioned it someone will post it.

This things awesome haha. The only problem I have is the temp settings. I'm using a 3-2 prong adapter with a surge protector with all of the outlets in use basically. I usually put it at 12 and get sometimes decent hits but now I'm not getting that big of ones. I put it on 2 and got a huge rip but my bud turned really dark brown but the rest of the bud was green and brown. I can't seem to find the right temp. I find it works better when its warmed up for a while, last night I had it at 12 and got massive hits. I'm using the long transfer wand and filling the bowl about 1/4th, I've packed bigger bowls too but I'm trying to get the most out of the littlest bud. I take slow long draws as well. I cant say the same for others. I looked at my ABV container and I have some green, light brown and dark brown ABV lol. I like it a lot though, I get really medicated. Thanks to you guys I bought a tasty vaporizer.

Like I said, stirring is very important, but even with stirring I end up with green flakes in my ABV. I also prefer long slow draws.

I recommend you to use a "cigar puff" inhale technique with the transfer wand. It gives your load a "pulse-heating" as opposed to a constant heat. Once I started doing this I got massive hits and when I was done the ABV was perfectly toasted.

A medium hard draw is how I do it. 1 second pull, one second not.

Mine is a light orange glow at 11 1/2 setting.

I've never used the element as a gauge of heat level...
To me its always just been "glowy orange"

The amount of protrusion of the element certainly has an effect on the heat at the herb, when I pull my element, I can just get the whole STD - 100 bit visible, when I let go it sucks itself back in a bit so that the last 0 is about half covered, and by about a day the whole - 100 bit is covered.
I normally run my LSV anywhere from 1 - full blast, with no combustion.
(This all relates to my black one - my silver one is currently in a few pieces for experiments

I'll have to check what the element is like on my silver one, I remember it running a bit hotter than my black...


Oh, and I've noticed that the size of the intake hole can affect the output temp - smaller intake = higher temp

New vapor enthusiast here. Just got my first vape (MFLB) 2 weeks ago, and already I've got myself sold on a Purple (!) LSV as my next vape. Not that the MFLB isn't good, it just takes a bit more work then I'd like to get me where I wanna be, and seems to be a pretty good bang for the buck.

I'm probably going to be getting this as a back to work present for myself once my job hunt ends. I don't suppose anyone is aware of any current promotional codes for ordering through 7th floor?

So what do you think...decent upgrade over the MFLB? The only other vaporizer I've tried was this old plug in conduction vape that was like a mason jar with a hot plate inside it, and that was like 8 years ago.

That purple is really pimp.

exzen...these two vapes are barely on the same planet. if the mflb is not getting you adequately medicated, the LSv will do the trick!

What Sticks said. I'd add, get yourself a bubbler or tube to use with you're LSV. The LSV truly shines when used with a water tool. You can find lots of good suggestions and links on the Glass thread. And today a good quality starting piece can be had for under $100. Personally I recommend jhanpixel's stuff.

You'll have to stir using this vape...

Combusting? well honestly, take a LED light and look closer again - it won't be black but brown... if its really combusted than your wand and chamber will smell like death.

I did experience in some very un-tasty hits from this vape along with super tasty ones as well...

Can anyone tell the temp the LSV reaches? is it above 236C ? I hope not.

I'm awaiting my 18.8mm male to 18.8mm male adapter to arrive to try this...didn't like the WPA.

Elevate yes you'd know it's a completely different taste and feel. I've only done it once or twice but once I started vaping regularly when I combusted I knew it *hack cough cough*. Also give yourself time to get to know your LSV. Vaping has a lot more nuances then smoking and it takes a while to to find your "zone" with any of your vapes. For example each once of my vapes hits very differently at different temps and settings.

Also, and i think you said you were doing this, but live in the low temp zone at first and get a feel for the vapor. then you can more effectively dance around the combustion zone if you wish.

I agree. Whenever I take the LSV out of the house I hit it with the transfer wand. It always offers a fuller flavor this way. I just really enjoy using my water pipes.

No glass at the moment, but I was planning on grabbing the 14 inch adapter and grabbing some glass as my next purchase. Any suggestions for a good budget starter piece for use with the LSV and 14 inch gong?
