Mobius Glass

Yeah, from what I've seen, I don't think you really want to add more diffusion in that piece.

I have an Ion Matrix, question though, where can I find a quality ash catcher that runs straight up and down like the one in the video max posted?

Is it a crime that I've been using it without one?
A matrix perc provides a lot of diffusion for a single. Whether you want more or less is up to your personal preference, so only you can answer that question. ;)

I wouldn't want to gunk up a matrix perc with tar resin like that. You would be cleaning/scrubbing it, after every use.
Do you find that it's hard to clean? I've always felt that it's one of the easier pieces to clean that I own. I let a friend smoke out of it for a weekend with no trash catcher. Did get nasty, but a Grunge Off soak had it back to 100%. Definitely didn't want to vape out of it before it was clean though!

I don't know! Honestly I bought it after searching for the perfect piece of glass at my LHS, so I literally know nothing besides "surface tension". If you can offer advice, please don't hold back!
If you haven't already, check out the Glass 101 thread. And enjoy that mobi!

'Bout time I posted these. One of my favorites of the pieces I've used for sure. A 65t is high on the wish list. :D congrats @green2brown

Took me a while to figure out that FC watermark wasn't a custom sandblasting on the glass

I really love that vertical bottom shot. Beautiful precision!

Holly shit I want that... Looking so perfect. Seems to be the best stuff on the market. The day I crack my savings accounts I'm gonna get one of theses for sure. I'm already drooling
Do they ship to France ; Is it a good idea to get such an expensive piece of glass to travel a long way ?
Nice pics by the way, I dig the anti rip stuff under the bong, where did you get that ? I would enjoy a kind of thing like that cause I can't hit without marking my pieces with finger prints even on my desk its moving

I wouldn't know, vtac... don't own a Mobius. Wish I did. Interesting that you haven't had issue with it, in yours. Not that I doubt you, just interesting. Plus it gives me a chance to comment on that piece.

Wow! I think that is the most gorgeous Mobius, I have seen. The T line, are nice... but that's just, sublime.

IMO, It certainly seems to be close to a perfect piece of glass, and as such I don't think an a/c is necessary. Get a carbon filter if you want to keep the Ion clean while combusting. Oregonglassblower on I offer does a really nice carbon filter for the price.

Ayoo! Great post BigDaddyVapor! Thank you :]
Not to derail the Möbius thread further, but its worth mentioning: if you need other stuff from Mike (OGB), just buy it up front, he'll likely give you a deal on combined items.

Mike is awesome. If you want something tweaked a little off what his description or photo shows, he'll do you right. Multiple item orders get great discounts and repeat business, he treats like royalty after the 3rd or 4th order.

I didn't say this, but if you ever use keck clips, ask him for some. He sent me a really nice white set with an order. Not the hard plastic crap, but I they're poly-something type, that last forever and good grip. Perhaps ask, if he has any extra. He'll probably throw them in... WITH whatever discount.

Say you're from here also.

I've been known to pass my delivery dude a beer or two in the past. Used to work at an office that had great Xmas parties... The ups and FedEx guys would coordinate to drop off there last and join the party. Have fond memories of being in a small packed photo darkroom blazing a j with good friends and the people that bring us our needs and wants.

Oh yeah... Not To derail the thread so I'll bring it on back... I want a matrix ion soooooo bad!!!

I use screens too. I like those metal meshiness bundles of joy! Been known to throw a screen into the TV T1 too! I haven't tried the double screen... Well not consciously... Although I was cleaning out a stem for the UD one night and found two screens in there. Haha. How'd the fuck 'dat happen??

Never used a charcoal filter thingy... Not sure how that would effect the taste. Never really had a problem with vape dirtiness either except a VG Coil that combusted in an old bong... got it good... But Even that cleaned up real easy.

Ok... To bring it on back... Still want that matrix ion. Bad

I can't imagine using a charcoal filter with a matrix perk. There's so much diffusion with that perk. I'm sure it would be pretty much 'tasteless'.

They should have kept that design.
BDV,,,I never paid attention,,,and it was you that brought that to my attention. I think you're right. And if they were'nt going to keep that one, I wish they would have at least kept the taller can.

I just got my 65t and I'm kind of confused. I filled the perc to just above the top of the stereo matrix, but the water level keeps changing a bit after each hit. Sometimes the water settles back to where I filled it, sometimes it's about a quarter inch higher than I filled it, and other times it doesn't cover the top of the perc and leaves about a quarter inch uncovered. Would this be due to a defect or am I not filling this this right?

No this is perfectly normal, if you notice the perc is kind of like two separate chambers, so sometimes a bubble will get caught in the bottom forcing some extra water into the top chamber. The alternative was the original design of the stereo with "drain holes" on the outer disc that separates the percs, and that ruined the entire function of the piece. The water level issue is just something that comes with the nature of the perc.

I have a stemless bubbler that does the same. An air bubble sometimes gets trapped under the perc of mine. Usually if I tilt the bubbler away from the stem it'll clear.

 YMMV

edit: dammn Marcellus beat me to it!
