The Pax delivers serious clouds, but it also delivers aesthetic bliss, a different but very real kind of pleasure. I mostly use my Pax when I travel, preferring my Volcano for home use. But I have to admit that when I'm waiting for the 'Cano to heat up, I like to hold the Pax, click the mouthpiece, watch the pulsing lights, admire the colors. Of course, the proof is in the pudding and we'll see how long it works; to paraphrase old Neil, long may she run. But in the short term it makes me feel good even when I'm not using it.

Was looking at ebay and seen this pax for sale $435 delivered to Ireland, by battery medic. I know its a high price to pay but i want one. If ploom only could tell us when they will be shipping to europe.

Hi... Have had my Pax now for a couple months and Love it... Been about the only unit I use now as my others are collecting dust at the moment.. I use it on average once a day, 4 or 5 days a week.. So I would not consider that heavy use. I clean it about once every 2 weeks per Plooms instructions.. I have noticed that my mouth piece end is getting clogged up.. To the point where I can not even suck any air through it by itself.. One time I blew as hard as I could through the mouth piece and on the metal tube of the mouth piece and finally this blob of gunk came out and then I could get air again through the mouthpiece.. Is there some better way I can keep my mouth piece clean? Is there a way i can take the metal tube on the mouth piece off so I can clean it out both directions? I am really bummed my Mouthpiece is starting to clog up to the point I cant get any air flow through it.

Thanks!

Most people overseas used a forward shipping company to get the product to them.

It's a lot cheaper than paying almost double for the Pax off Ebay.

I think I've read people paying an extra $40 to $60 bucks to have the package forward shipped to them.

You can't take metal tube off the mouthpiece.

Just soak the mouthpiece in ISO and use a pipe cleaner.

Your welcome.

Yes, i have 2 Pax's.

One is a backup.

So do you run into the issue I described? And so just soak the whole Mouth Piece in ISO(soak for how long?) and then use a Pipe cleaner? I had this really black sticky like Tar ball come out of it last time is was stopped up..

Yeah, I pretty much use either a pipe cleaner or a q tip with some of the cotton removed, but then smoothed down so it won't come off inside the tube. Dip either in Iso, and give that tube a good scrub from the inside. You may have to poke the air hole clean from the top of the mouth piece. Soaking it in Iso for several hours or over night works good to dissolve the build up then you can rinse it in hot water, and dry it well with a q tip. It really shouldn't be too hard. There is one main tube on the lower portion and it butts up into a little hole that goes side ways to the top portion of the mouthpiece. If you can keep that little hole clear, and the tube clean you should get good air flow.

I clean mine once a week. No build up like you described. Plus i use mine 4 to 6 times a day. Seven days a week.

The longer you soak it the cleaner it gets.

But i usually let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

I sometimes use a wooden toothpick or dental picks to clean out the tiny hole on the top of the mouthpiece.

Thanks i was looking at that route, but im not sure can i change the declaration for the costums, they charge about 40 percent extra ontop of the full price including shipping costs for importing into Ireland.

I've had this happen. Depending on the dryness of your material and how you use your Pax, you can get enough accumulation at the outlet hole to clog it.

There is another way this can happen, however. If you push a pipe cleaner up into the mouthpiece tube, it collects a lot of the resin and pushes it in a lump to the top, where it clogs the outlet. You can see this happening when you push a pipe cleaner through the tube in the body of the Pax. Note: for this reason, always push the pipe cleaner from the mouthpiece chamber towards the oven. Pushing in the other direction can result in this resin getting into the spring and retraction mechanism, something that we all know is deadly to the Pax.

To clear the outlet hole, you can use a toothpick or similar. Better is to follow CarlosSpicyWeiner's advice. If you soak the mouthpiece for a few minutes in ISO before poking the pipe cleaner in there, the resin will dissolve into the ISO. If you do this before using a pipe cleaner then this sort of clogging won't happen.

Finally, that black lump is actually resin and can get you pretty stoned if you vape it. You just need to find a way to do it without messing up your Pax. Some of us collect it and put it on a layer of buds.

Or have a friend or family member help you.
Be sure it is a person you trust, and have them send it.
I have sent vapes to people all over the world to help them avoid high prices.
But remember... it must be a friend that you know and trust.
I dont know somebody well anough in the states for that. would be very easy otherwise.

Yeah.. F* Combustion..
How does everyone charge their Pax? I know you are supposed to charge it upside down, so the resin doesn't roll into the MP, but it would be nice to have some type of base to put it on, so it would sit there nicely, and not be top heavy/fall over

I just thought I would try to clear up the mystery a bit for new folks, or anyone else for that matter on cleaning the air path/spring area.

**Disclaimer: These are basic guidelines on how I clean my Pax, and common sense should be used if attempting this. Please be careful, do not use force, I don't want to be blamed for a mishap, should someone choose to be careless and mess it up. If you have any reservations about trying this, then please don't.**

Ever since I cleaned this area, I have no longer had any of the problems associated with the mouthpiece. In my opinion, these pictures show the most crucial area to keep clean once your Pax starts to get gummed up.
