I am about to try mine for the first time. For some reason every time I depress the mouthpiece it ends up popping the mouthpiece out of the device. i am sure it is something I am doing and will figure it out, but kind of annoying. anyway, 1st time vaping here I come!

So, again, I have never vaped before. This tastes soo much different to me. Maybe it is the taste of the Ploom , I don't know, but it just does. I am amazed at how much easier it is on my throat. It was very easy to use, I just did what SLim said and puffed like a cigar, pretty crazy clouds too. Pretty cool!

slim is having technical issues with the site at the moment so he asked me to relay this massage:

"Make sure you let your units completely charge before the first use. I seem to remember hearing that it is better for the longevity of the unit to do an initial charge. I know it is tempting to fire it right up, but I would avoid the temptation.

I had the same reaction about the mouthpiece the first few times I used the unit. Now the mouthpiece functions just fine... or should I say that I adapted to the way it functions. Once you press in enough to feel the click, slowly let mouthpiece rise and use your finger as tension so that it does not pop off. Once the piece is dirty the mouthpiece motion will get kind of choppy, then you know you need to clean.

Kuroth1, you're right. Planet Vape informed me that Ploom doesn't allow retailers to offer Pax discount codes.

hello everyone ive been watching this forum for quite some time now seeing what everyone has to say about the PAX and i have finally decided to purchase one. As i went onto the vapeworld website to buy it i read something saying that the PAX can only be shipped anywhere in the US and Canada. i think this is ridiculous, does anyone have any idea why this is? and if there is anyway else to get one shipped to New Zealand?

I've just heard from Planet Vape: "We got approval to ship to Australia, but are still waiting for voltage confirmation on the charger. As soon as we find out, we will let you know."

(And I guess the same applies to New Zealand.)

I wanted to make sure that info got out there. From what bOObs reported though, his unit charged really quickly. Can new users give their unit a shake when they first get it, and let me know what color the battery indicator is. Mine was orange when I got it... so I tossed it on the charger. These new production units might have been charged more or something at the factory.

I am so pleased that the reports are good so far. It makes me feel reassured as I work on the video review.

Mine was orange, but charged up in about an hr or so.

By the way, I think I figured out why it tastes so different, no burn, no smoke taste. Definitely like that part.

Planet Vape is not a distributor of Pax. Please beware of companies falselt advertising Pax by Ploom.
The ONLY distributors are: Vape World, Ploom, Vapor Experts and Head Change. No other company will be able to sell this, but some are fraudulently taking pre-orders.
you recon planet vape is bullshitting or vape world just doesn't want to loose a customer?

Hey all, I just signed up for this forum to say I just ordered a Ploom Pax!

I purchased a MFLB a while ago and I used reddit + this forum to read reviews and saw it was a great and cheap vaporizer. I will probably keeping it as a backup or selling it to a friend for like $40 or so. It has served me well and I took good care of it.

I decided to pick this one up and put an order for a black one using VapeWorld and was extremely surprised to have an email saying that it already shipped! That is some service, considering it said orders go out Aug 1st or something.

I'm not a heavy user but I like to engage in some late night solo vaping at most once or twice a week

Hey guys just received my Pax and had a few questions regarding the screen. When I opened the chamber I noticed the bottom screen does not sit completely flat against the bottom of the chamber. Has anyone else noticed this? Also I was a bit surprised the screen is not actually a screen... More like a decorated solid plate (its not perforated).

This leads me to believe that improper seating/reassembly of the screen could potentially block/restrict the vapor path. Has anyone tried to clean theirs and used it after cleaning? Any difference in use relative to the position of the screen? ie certain placement of the screen yields different effort required for a draw etc?

Otherwise I'm overall impressed by the build quality and can't wait to try it out!

Yea, the screen is not actually perforated... it is just there for design. The screen is rounded on the edges/corners, so the vapor flows around the corners at those 4 points. If it is not sitting properly in the oven, I would take something blunt (Like the end of a pencil) and push the screen down into place.

coughy coughy... That does look like a pretty good seal. I think I could do a little better by cutting apart a spare mouthpiece. That looks like a good solution though. How tight of a seal does it make? Does it go all the way around the mouth piece and inside the PAX or does it catch on the lip somewhere?

Mine arrived today. Nice packaging and build quality. Easy to use. Feels great in the hand. The flavor is just OK. There's no plastic taste, but because it's conduction some bits get dark faster and produce a sort of burnt flavor before all of it is up to temp. So far I feel like it isn't as efficient as a log vape. It cooks the herb even when you're not drawing. Pretty impressive for a portable, though. The medium temperature was just about right for me.
